Does it hurt?
Cora interlocked her hands and giggled.
“At the count of five.. four…. three…”she counted.
Beatrice shut her eyes tightly before moving her face closer to Gregory’s.
She cursed under her breath.
It’s all her fault. She shouldn’t have persuaded him to play the game with her.
“And… one!!!”Cora chimed.
She sighed before placing her mouth on his for a second, then moved her head back immediately.
He flaps his lashes, obviously flustered.
She turned to Cora who has her brows furrowed up.
“It’s done.”Beatrice said.
“Huh?. Just that?. That was only a peck.”Cora remarked.
“Well..”Beatrice chuckled and scratched the back of her neck.
“It seems we are done here. Let’s go.”Gregory stood up.
“We would be on our way then, miss Cora. Good bye. And, thanks for the lessons.”Beatrice grinned at Cora before standing up.
“Sure, Mrs Winslow. I wish you the very best in your marriage.”Cora nodded.
“I hope you would reconcile with your husband too.”Beatrice winked at her before moving out.
Gregory was walking ahead of her as they headed out of the building.
“How was the session?”Laura asked them.
“Boring.”Gregory scoffed.
“I’d say good.”Beatrice grinned.
Laura nodded.
“Let’s end this here.”Gregory stated.
“Huh?. Why?. I’ve.. prepared a lot for your honeymoon.”Laura arched her brows in surprise.
Beatrice internally rolled her eyes.
He is like a chameleon that changes color every minutes.
“We would resume tomorrow.”he insisted.
“I mean.., Mr Gregory.. well.. okay. how about tonight then?.”
Gregory turned to glare at her.
Beatrice sighed.
“To… night sure sounds good.”she chipped in.
Gregory gave her a look but she quickly took her eyes away from him.
“Is it so, mr Winslow?”Laura asked.
Beatrice scoffed and shook her head.
“I already said it’s fine. Do you really have to ask him again?. Honestly?, can you hide your affections for him?”
“And, to say he is a married man.”she added.
She pushed Gregory by his arm with her and inside the car.
She turned to Laura.
“I won’t watch you take my man away from me. See you later tonight.”she said to Laura who had a frown on her face and crossed to the other side of the car.
She settled inside.
“Let’s go.”she said to the driver and he began driving.
They got home and went inside the house.
As they were ascending the stairs, Gregory was holding his head.
Beatrice sighed, deciding not to pay attention to him.
They got to the door of his room and as he made to go in, she pulled him back.
“What’s wrong with you?. You don’t have to be so hideous about it.”she scoffed.
She felt his temperature and sighed.
“As expected.”she snort.
“It’s just an headache.”he mumbled.
“I expected that. You nodding, frowning and putting up a tough look all day long would end up here. Or, is it because you haven’t taken any coffee today?”she raised her brows at him but he only stared at her.
“I would go get drugs for you at a nearby pharmacy, so..”
“Don’t bother.”he released himself from her and went inside his room.
“Eishhh.., do you really think I want to do this?! I just don’t want you dying!”she yelled before moving to her room.
She threw herself on the bed and couldn’t help but wonder now annoying he was.
Why can’t he admit that he is sick and needs help?.
Well, duhhh.
She won’t care anymore.
He could go to hell for all she knows.
And, just like that, she slept off.Ccontent © exclusive by Nô/vel(D)ra/ma.Org.
She woke up later and creased her brows at the muffled groans she was hearing.
She batted her lashes and sat up.
She listened to the sounds before covering her face with her palms.
Those are definitely coming from Gregory.
Geez.
She slept back.
He’d told her not to worry about him.
She might as well let him bear his pains and die alone.
Few seconds later, she yanked the blanket off her body and got down from the bed.
She exit out of her room and walked to his.
She sighed before opening it.
Her eyes widened in horror when she saw the disaster before her.
“Mr Winslow!”she shouts and rushed to where he was.
He was holding a glass in his hand and squeezing it tightly.
His blood drips from his hand to the floor.
She stood, few steps away from him.
Is he back to his crazy self?.
How Could…. could.. he?..
She breathed out.
The sight alone is making her feel uneasy.
She forced her legs to move forward and sat on the space of the bed next to him.
“Gregory?.”she called.
He turned to her, sharply.
“Drop that..”she pointed at the broken glass in his grapple.
He tightened his hand around it the more and Beatrice’s mouth opened, slightly.
“I clearly told you not bother yourself about me.”he gritted.
“Then you might as well die!!!”she exclaimed.
“You.. you think I am doing this for your sake?. No! I am doing it for my conscience. Doing this because..”she paused.
“You can kill yourself after we go back home, hm?.”she uttered, breathily.
He released his fingers around the glass and it slides down to the ground.
Beatrice breathed out in relief.
“You can tend to your wounds, oh yea?”
He shook his head, slowly.
“I mean, when you know you–Eish, just forget about that. I will go get the first aid kit.”she went out.
Gregory stares at his hand and closed his eyes.
He took in a sharp breath.
Perhaps, he should visit a therapist.
Beatrice came back with the box.
“I won’t be gentle, cause I am seriously mad at you. How can a man not know how to curb his anger?”she snort.
She opened the box and brought out a rubbing alcohol bottle.
“I don’t know how to apply treatment on other people’s wounds so bear with it.”she sprinkled the spirit on his hand.
He suppressed a wince, glaring hard at her.
She added dressing powder to bandage and wrapped it around his hand.
“It’s hurt, doesn’t it?. Don’t be so angry next time.”she mocked.
“You are not going to thank me?”see raised her gaze to him.
He only looked at her without saying anything.
“Hey!”she yelled.
“Get out.”he uttered, softly.
