Chapter 96
Chapter 96
96. Your Sparrow Gets Up
Frank laughed wryly. “Kara, can you ignore other people? Just focus on us. Besides, which media would
dare to publish gossip about me? They’re afraid of going bankrupt.”
Kara squinted as if thinking. “Are you sure?”
“Take my word for it. So how? Going to a picnic?”
Kara hung in silence for a moment, testing the man’s patience. “Okay,
but after that, let me look for another apartment.”
Frank took a deep breath. His lungs were full of joy. “Deal!”
A second later, he kissed Kara’s lips. The woman gasped because of his action.
“Frank, you promised not to cross the line.”
“This is within limits, Kara. You have no idea how far I want to go.”
Kara sighed in disbelief. However, with a smoldering gaze like that, it was impossible for her heart not to
beat fast.
“So, may I kiss you? I promise I won’t take you to bed this time.”
Kara didn’t answer. However, little by little, their distance closed
again. After a few moments, affection began to flare.
“Mommy….”
Kara and Frank spontaneously distanced themselves. When they found Louis rubbing his eyes, they
quickly adjusted their clothes and wiped their lips.
“Little Bee?” Kara greeted awkwardly. While Frank turned to face the garden, she walked towards the
toddler at the door. “You haven’t slept
you:
“I woke up because I needed to pee. But I couldn’t open my pants with one hand.”
“Then let’s go to the toilet.”
Kara grabbed Louis’ hand. Unexpectedly, the toddler refused.
“I want Mr. Harper to help me.”
Frank looked over his shoulder and stared wide eyed. “Me?” He didn’t dare turn around yet.
“Yes. You promised to take care of me while I’m here. You have to keep it.”
Like it or not, Frank pulled his sweater down as low as possible. After that, he approached the toddler.
“Come on, Buddy. Let’s go to the
toilet now.”
Taking Frank’s hand, Louis asked, “Do you need to pee too?”
Kara and Frank raised their eyebrows. To ease the tension, the man replied, “Why do you ask that?”
“Your sparrow gets up.”
Kara spontaneously smothered her laughter with her fist. Meanwhile,
Frank stuttered with a red face.
“Y-yes, I need to pee. Let’s go to the toilet quickly.”
He picked up the boy and started running. In his entire life, he had never felt a sensation like that. How
could he face Kara later without
turned into a tomato?

“Good morning, Mr. Harper.”
Hearing Kara’s voice, Frank turned to the door. The secretary turned out to be walking in, flanked by the
twins. A crooked smile adorned
her face.
Frank blinked awkwardly. While scratching his chin, he turned his gaze to Louis and Emily.
“Hi, how did you sleep?”
“Nice,” Louis nodded curtly.
“Yeah, I slept soundly. I like the fluffy blanket in my room. It’s very
soft.”
Frank chuckled at Emily’s confession. “You can take it home later.”
“Is it true?” A second later, the toddler looked up at her mother. “Is that okay, Mommy?”
Kara smiled warmly. “Yes, Little Bee.”
“That’s great! Thank you, Mister Kind. I will take good care of the blanket.”
While Emily was busy making cute expressions, Louis tiptoed to see the tablet on the table. “Are you
working? But Mommy said we’re
going to the beach this morning. We are ready.”
Frank twitched an eyebrow. “Yes, we will be leaving soon. I’m just checking to see if I missed any
important tasks.”
“Do you need any help?”
Hearing that soft voice, Frank’s nerves tightened again. “No. No need. It won’t take long. You guys go to
the limousine first. I’ll follow.”
Kara smiled again. “Okay. Little Angels, let’s go out.”
“Can I stay here with Mr. Harper? I want to see how the entrepenout
works.”
“Entrepreneur, Louis.”
The boy nodded lazily. “Tsk, I should have just said businessman.”
Frank chuckled. “Of course you can. But there’s not much you can see. I’m just sorting out the agenda.”
“It’s okay,” Louis shook his head lightly.
As Kara and Emily left, Frank turned his chair to face the toddler.” How is it, Louis? Shall we start now?
We have to leave immediately.”
He stretched his arms, ready to welcome Louis onto his lap.
Unexpectedly, the boy lifted his leg as high as possible then dropped it on Frank’s foot. Even though it
didn’t hurt, Frank gasped with wide
eyes.
“Louis? Why are you stepping on my foot?”
The toddler raised a fist. “I actually wanted to teach you a lesson last night. But because I was sleepy, I
postponed it until now.”
Frank’s eyebrows knitted together. “Last night?”
“You kissed Mommy without my permission. You thought I didn’t see?
Frank blinked, lost for words. After a brief moment of contemplation, he tilted his head back and
whispered, “Are you really four years old?”
“Yes, it’s my birthday next week.” Louis still tried to be fierce even though he was a little confused.
“Then why do you know so much about adult affairs?”
to them.”
Frank lowered an eyebrow. “Who told you that?”
While nodding, Frank stroked his chin. “So, I can only kiss your mother if I have your permission?”
Louis nodded. “And after you break up with your girlfriend. Don’t you
understand? A man can only be loyal to one woman.”
Frank subconsciously put on a big smile. He was intrigued by the toddler’s maturity. “Okay. I promise I
will break up with my fiancée
soon.”
“And promise not to kiss my mother.”
Instead of nodding, Frank raised an eyebrow and muttered under his breath, “I can’t promise that.”
“What?”
Frank shook his head quickly. “Nothing. Now, are you still interested in seeing my work?”
Louis’ lips were still pursed. However, his furrowed brows were not as wrinkled as before. “Yeah.”
Frank lifted Louis into his lap. Feeling excited, he stole the
opportunity to kiss the toddler’s cheek.
“Hey! Why are you kissing me?” Louis wiped the traces of the CEO’s lips with one hand.
“Because you are very cute. Now, let’s continue working. Don’t make Mommy and Emily wait too long.”
Louis no longer made a sound. He actually couldn’t wait to go to the
me nym WILT T Tanin tater.
An hour later, they had already spread out the mats on the sand. A giant umbrella was stuck near them.
While sitting facing the sea, they chatted and laughed.
“Thank you, Mommy. The egg sandwiches Mommy makes are the best. This is the best breakfast in the Còntens bel0ngs to Nô(v)elDr/a/ma.Org
world.” Emily gave her mother thumbs up.
While Kara laughed slightly, Frank furrowed one eyebrow. “Do you like sandwiches?”
Emily nodded firmly. “Yes, this is my favorite food. As for Louis, he likes chicken pasta salad. Look!”
She pointed to her brother’s lunch box. There’s only broccoli left there. “Louis only eats chicken and
pasta.”
