CHAPTER 20

I and Ade walked into the mall further from where we had been standing by the entrance. he seemed

to be more familiar with Abuja than I was so it was a good idea to let him help me.

"i think we should get what we are looking for over there" he said pointing to one of the shops

ahead of us.

"So, how have you been, how has marriage been like" Ade asked as we walked on.

"Good, good. it's been mostly fun and I am enjoying it " I said with a smile on my face.

"Are you married too and what have you been up to" I asked curiously

"No, I am not. I have just been about work and all. I am also waiting for the right woman to come

around but apart from that work is the only thing occupying my mind right now." he said and I just

smiled.

"Well, I hope you find that perfect person for you"

We got into the shop, it had different gift items around, colourful too. I and Ade walked around to get

a good view of everything they had and to choose what I wanted to get for her.

I and Ade where still checking out some stuffs in the shop when I suddenly heard a familiar voice

behind us.

"Teslimah"!! I immediately looked in the direction of the voice behind me and then to my utmost

surprise, I saw Ridwan. I was shocked and very surprised too. Ade turned in the direction too as

Ridwan came even closer to us.

"You're going home with me now" Ridwan said as he dragged my hand with him and then suddenly

Ade held my other hand preventing me from moving

"Who are you anyways"Ade asked as he looked sternly at Ridwan..

"Her husband and who are you to be asking me such questions" Ridwan said angrily.

"I am just a friend of hers, I just decided to help her pick out some gift items for a friend" Ade said

trying to explain himself to an already furious Ridwan.

"We're leaving"

"Ridwan" I called out placing my hand on his in an attempt to at least stop him.

"Let's just all talk about this" Ade said as he came in front of Ridwan and I and before I could even

think of anything. Ridwan hit him across the face and immediately Ade fell to the side and I was about

to help when Ridwan dragged me away with him.

"Why did you do that" I complained as we both walked out "that was totally uncalled for!!!" I

exclaimed.

"Next time, he will know not to interfere in matters that absolutely do not concern him" Ridwan said

as he still dragged me by the hand with him.

Once we got outside beside the car I jacked off my hands from his angrily from him. I didn't know

what to think, I was still processing what had just happened.
