The fight was getting hotter with each passing second. Na ji hye dragged Soha up by hair, pulling her toward a basin of soap water, and dippings her head inside it.

Soha struggled to pull her head out but Na jihye didn’t give her any chance to do so.

“Next time when I am talking you don’t interact with me!” she said, yanking her hair hard.

The voice of the Court lady boom loudly suspending Na ji hye hand as she was about to release another punch in Soha’s stomach with her head still in the soapy water.

“What the hell is going on here?!” The court lady said walking further inside the laundry room. She stop on her track when she saw the situation on ground.

The court lady’s eyes widened in fear when she saw Na ji hye holding Soha’s head inside a soapy water.

“What the hell are you doing!” She shouted rushing forward to pull Soha’s head out of the water.

The mistiness in Na ji hye’s eyes cleared off as she turned in the direction of the court lady and bowed her head slightly.

Soha was badly shaking as a result of the water, and red marks were printed all over face, her clothes were torn in several places making it look like a piece of rag on her body. her with hair loosened and scattered over her face.

“Yes my lady, we were just doing the laundry when all of a sudden Na ji hye just came in and grabbed Soha. she started beating her up. we all tried to separate them but she overpowered us” came the explanation from Kim so Young with utmost innocence.

“You wench. how dare you lie against me” Na ji hye shouted ready to bounce on So Young, but before she could take action two court maids immediately held her back making her kneel on the floor.

“You…” The court lady was lost at word, stunned by Na ji hye’s reckless behavior. As far as she remembers, it is an offence to fight in the palace, and seeing the young maid in front of her trying to break into another fight in her presence when she hasn’t know her fate with her current offence “it only been a few minutes you just fought and wound your fellow maid and you are about fighting again in my presence”

“I am sorry my lady, she is lying against me” Na ji hye replied coolly.

“Shut up! Didn’t I ask you in the first place and what did you do? you are standing there stammering, not able to say a word!” The court lady scolded angrily.

“Is that what really happened, to everyone?” The court lady asked, referring the question to all the court maids present in the laundry room before the fight erupted.

They all looked at themselves warily before answering ” Yes my lady” They chorused together

“They are lying, that’s not truth”

“You wench, You are mere court maid but your arrogance is intolerable. you’re trying to kill your fellow maids, and you are still proving stubbornness on top of that” The court lady barked grimly at her.

“I’m not trying to prove stubborn My lady” She defended herself.

“Do you think I am your friend? how dare you talk back at me forgetting your position?. Take her to the inspector courtlady immediately, and flog her 100 times” she ordered and eyed Na ji hye with disgust.

So Young, who made the allegations, eyed Na ji hye with wicked amusement.

“Yes my lady” Two court maids moved closer and reached for Na ji hye arm and began to pull her out towards the door.

A childish but calm and collective voice sounded from the doorway. “Release her right now!”

An adorable little girl had, at some time during the ruckus, shown up unnoticed by the doorways. She looked to be around fifteen or sixteen years of age, and she was dressed up in a white and golden hanbok dress, her dark brown hair was combed back beautifully entrapped with golden hairpin in the shape of a flower. The edges of the hair were twisted back and tied with a ribbon matching her dress. Coupled with a pair of matching leather shoes. She was the very perfect picture of royalty.

Most of the people at the scene had never seen this child before but it was clear that they found her endearing as they appraised her.

She gasped and held her cheek in pain. The slap was from the court lady that was with the child. “Who do you think you are?! how dare you talk to the princess in such insolent manners!”

Princess! So Young drew back In surprised, and couldn’t wrap her head around the title.

The court lady, on the other hand, pressed a palm to her forehead when she suddenly recalled that the little girl was none other than the young princess of the royal family. The only royal princess of this country.

At the recollection of that. The court lady hurried up to the little girl with a grin on her face and greeted courteously “Your highness, what brings you here?”

“Your highness. You do understand one must have a proof before making such claim, and you can’t go around making false accusations”

The little princess scoffed, and her face was still grim as she countered. “And what makes you think I will need proof when I happened to witness everything with my maids?” She pointed toward her maids who were standing behind her.

So Young’s heart plunged to her stomach when she heard this, and she was rendered speechless, unable to retort against the princess.

Soha on the other hand where she sits glare maliciously at the princess. Her expression was tight with fury as she thought menacingly. damn it! I was this close to pushing that wretched Na ji hye into the depth of hell! I can’t believe it was all ruined by her.

After a few minutes the maid appeared with the head court lady walking ahead of her.

“What brings you to this shabby place?” she added, looking around the laundry room.

The princess ignored her questions and cleared her voice.

“I will be pointing out everyone’s crime to you. Get ready to punish them” She said looking intently at the head court lady.
