Her Life Starts to Spin out of Control

Chapter 269 My Little Dear

Chapter 269 My Little Dear

Colin stroked Sophia's hair, and said, "Alright, we can talk about all of this later. Let's go home now.

Okay?"

"No!" refused Sophia.

Her eyes filled with tears. She had once planned to give birth to Colin's baby and marry someone else,

to let his child call another man dad.

However, it seemed that Colin had made her child call another woman mother first.

She was a big loser.

Colin didn't force her to go home with him, and after he made sure that she was fine, he brought her to

her apartment, just as she wanted.

His priority now was to find Dorothy and find out what she had told Sophia.

Shortly after Colin left, Sophia couldn't wait to drive to Li Manor.

When she arrived at the villa, Wendy was out with Colin's grandparents, and Selina was together with

Ambrose, playing with his toys.

The servant opened the door, and when she saw it was Sophia, greeted her "Good evening, Miss Lo."

"Good evening. Where is Brody?" Sophia sounded anxious.

"He's upstairs with Mrs. Selina, " replied the servant.

"I see. Thank you." Sophia hastily changed her shoes and went upstairs. She ran for a few steps but

immediately slowed down when she suddenly remembered of her special condition.

When she approached Ambrose's room, she heard his little excited voice say, "Auntie, look! I fixed it!

Am I cool?"

Selina echoed, "Wow! Brody you're great! Even I don't know how to fix that!"

"I must have inherited my mother's intelligence, " grinned Ambrose.

"Why not your father's?" asked Selina curiously. That was because she thought that Colin was actually

smarter than Sophia was.

Ambrose proudly answered her, "Because my mother is Sophia, and she is the smartest and the most

beautiful person in my heart. When I grow up, I wish I could be as smart and charming as my mother

is!"

Sophia quickly covered her mouth to stop herself from crying aloud when she heard Ambrose's words.

Selina noticed Sophia standing at the door first, and said, "Sophia, you're here! Why are you crying?"

"Mother! You're here!" Ambrose immediately put down his toys and jumped down from the chair and

ran to Sophia.

Sophia squatted and opened her arms to hug the boy running towards her.

Tears rained down her cheeks."Oh, Brody, my little dear boy!"

"Mother, why are you crying? Did I hurt you?" asked Ambrose anxiously.

Sophia shook her head and embraced Ambrose tight in her arms. She said, "No, Brody, it's because

I'm happy!"

Watching both mother and son, Selina was moved. She guessed that by now, Sophia had probably

found out the truth.

Ambrose wrapped his tiny arms around Sophia's neck, and said, "Mother, you should smile when

you're happy. Don't cry, or I'll feel bad!"

Sophia buried her face in Ambrose's shoulder, and said, "Okay, okay I won't cry anymore. My dear

son..." She couldn't remember how many times she had cried for her lost baby, but it turned out that

she had only been wasting her feelings and tears.

Now Ambrose knew why she was crying, and he couldn't restrain his excitement anymore, and asked,

"Mother! You already know that I'm your son, right?"

Sophia nodded, and replied to him. "Brody, I'm sorry. I'm sorry I was not there for you all of these

years."

The little boy's attitude seriously changed, and he said, "Mother, it's not your fault. Father is the one to

blame, because he didn't tell us the truth!"

Sophia raised her eyes and gently stroked his head. She managed to ask between her sobs, "You're

right. Brody, are you happy to know that I'm your mother?"

"Of course I am! I even dreamed of you being my mother!" Ambrose then happily giggled.

Sophia embraced her son again, and thought how lucky she was to be able to regain what she had

lost.

When the Chinese New Year's Eve came, Sophia was still mad at Colin, and she decided not to spend

the evening at Li Manor.

But Ambrose was upset when he found out that Sophia wouldn't be there. He glared at Colin, and

yelled, and cried. In the end, he asked Wendy to call Sophia.

Wendy also wanted her to come there, and she called her, and said, "Sophia, come over and let's

celebrate the New Year's Eve together. You're now pregnant, and you should keep a light mood with

yourself. You can get even with Colin later."

Sophia found no reason to decline her offer. After that, Colin already arrived at her place to pick her up,

and returned with her to Li Manor.

When Sophia saw Ambrose, she had already accepted the fact that Ambrose was her son. But she still

couldn't hold back her tears when she hugged the little boy again.

She knew that she shouldn't cry, but she couldn't help herself. Sophia had missed her baby for so

many years before finally knowing the truth, and every time she thought of the baby, she felt her heart

being torn apart and shredded into pieces.

Then she was told that her baby was alive, and that it was actually her favorite, Brody. How could she

not be excited?

She even wanted to announce to the whole world that Ambrose was her son, that her son was alive

and well-behaved.

That night, the whole family had for dinner the dumplings that Wendy had made herself, and Sophia

fed Ambrose the whole time.

Colin wanted to tell her to let Ambrose eat by himself, But he refrained when he saw the joy shining on

her face.

At bedtime, Sophia coldly said to Colin, "Don't sleep in the same bed with me."

"... Can't I at least hold you and our son to sleep?" Colin held Sophia tightly in his arms.

"No! Or I'll either go home, or sleep in the guest room!" She categorically refused him.

Colin gave Sophia a loving look, and compromised, "Alright, I'll go sleep in the guest room."

To Sophia, his blandness had some kind of hidden purpose.

She still didn't have the courage to ask him whether he was good to her just because he wanted her

kidney for his daughter, or because he was actually sincere and loving.

She didn't dare to ask, because she didn't know what she would do if his answer would be "yes."

Colin then lowered his head and kissed Sophia's lips, but Sophia wiped her mouth sullenly with the

back of her hand. Colin laughed at her, and said, "Alright, alright, no more kissing. I'm going now, good

night."

"Go away already!" Sophia quickly drove him away, because she was afraid that she would forgive him

if he stayed any longer.

After Colin left, Sophia lied in bed, and she could smell him in the pillow, which made her feel even

worse.

Should she really ask him about his daughter Nana? But she knew that she couldn't accept it if Nana

was really his and Maeve's daughter.

Sophia kept thinking about this, and around midnight finally fell asleep.

Inside the guest room, Colin was working on his computer. The bed wasn't made up. When the clock

struck twelve, he looked out of the window and saw many fireworks lighting up the night's sky.

He would have set off fireworks for Sophia as well, but considering that she was pregnant and couldn't

stay up that late, he dismissed the idea.

His phone suddenly buzzed with two notifications, and Colin casually checked it. This belongs © NôvelDra/ma.Org.
