Chapter 361
Suzanne had bitten Austin unintentionally, but he had done it on purpose.
Austin's gaze fell on her shoulder, where faint red teeth marks were still visible. His lips curled into a smirk. He was clearly pleased with his "work".
He responded to her lightly, "Mhm."
Suzanne was perplexed.
Was this still the same cold and aloof man she knew? Did he just openly admit that he was like a dog?
Austin stood up and lifted Suzanne up, adjusting her seating position on the couch. At the same time, he tidied up her disheveled collar, covering her exposed shoulder. He then said in a low voice, "Rest for a bit. I'll take care of the rest."
He turned toward the coffee table, carefully arranging the flowers in the vases and even cleaning up all the fallen petals on the table. His movements were unhurried yet precise.
Suzanne was surprised. She had always thought of Austin as a noble man who had never lifted a finger to do household chores like this.
When he was done, he turned back to her and asked, "Where do you want to put these vases?"
Suzanne quickly got up from the couch and, without hesitation, started directing him. "Put that one on the side table, that one on that standalone shelf, and the last one on the side table in our room..."
He followed her instructions exactly, placing each vase in its designated spot.
Once that was all done, Suzanne looked around at the house which was now filled with warmth, nodding in satisfaction. Then, turning to Austin, she smiled softly. "Thank you for the flowers, Austin. I love them."
His gaze softened. It seemed that she really liked receiving flowers.
"Mhm. As long as you like them."
Their eyes met, and at that moment, a quiet warmth lingered between them.
...
The next day, Suzanne rushed to the design department.
There had been an accident on the road, causing a massive jam, which made her late for work.
As soon as she set down her belongings, she sensed something was off about the atmosphere in the office.
Frowning, she scanned the room. Everyone seemed busy, but she could still feel many eyes on her.
Even Macey looked uneasy. After some hesitation, she decided to approach Suzanne to say
something. But before she couldn et
Seline dressed in a white business suit, emerged from the manager's office and walked straight toward Suzanne's desk.
Macey quickly sat back down, gluing her eyes to her computer screen.
Suzanne's confusion deepened.
Standing before her, Seline put on a troubled expression and said, "Sue, you're late today. That means a fine."
Suzanne didn't argue. She had indeed arrived late. She responded calmly, "How much? I'll transfer it to the company account right now."
Without hesitation, Suzanne pulled out her phone, showing no interest in engaging with Seline any further.
Seline had initially planned to
provoke her, but it seemed that her
plan wasn't working. Just then, her
gaze inadvertently landed on
Suzanne's shoulder, where a faint red mark was still visible.
Seline knew better than anyone what kind of mark that was-it was a mark left
behind after lovemaking. Had she slept with that man?
Jealousy and rage surged within Seline, but on the surface, she forced herself to remain composed. She nodded gently as she said, "Two hundred dollars."
In one swift action, Suzanne
unlocked her phone and transferred

Seline wasn't leaving.
She looked up at Seline, frowning. "What? Was the fine not enough?"
What do you think?
