“What are you doing here?” Kwan asked as he walked towards them. “Are you dating without letting me know?”

Lando withdrew his phone and put it back inside his pocket, while Wen leaned on the post. She just want to check if Lando was telling the truth and he’s worthy enough for them to trust, and if she’d proved that he’s not trustworthy, she won’t hesitate to dispatch him.

“I want to discuss you about your work.” Kwan said in a serious tone.

“Well, you don’t need to tell me about that, Kwan. I’m used to taking care of all the clutter you’re leaving in every mission you went on. You only have to inform this man about what he should do,” Wen replied.

“Alright. Lando, as what Rebecca’s father said, you should protect Rebecca even if it cost your own life, and if you fail doing so, I’ll be the one to kill you,” Kwan warned.

The presence of a most-wanted killer in the west prevailed. Lando was muted as he realized what he has entered. He was the one who volunteered himself to Elfedio to protect Rebecca and also for his own purpose. But he did not expected that this is the kind of fate waiting for him.

He realized that he couldn’t even move freely, because even if there are only three people inside the Black mansion, they are all aware and observant for what’s happening, even Rebecca.

It seemed like everything didn’t changed, he’s still treated as a servant, and thing just got worsen for he has to follow their rules. First, he must tell them everything about himself, his family and his former and current work.

At this moment, Lando knew that it’ll be difficult for him to gain their trust, so he’s planning to acclaim first before doing what he should have done before. Besides, he was given enough time to do it.

“Good, now you should start doing your work rather than dating this bunny girl,” Kwan told him before going back inside.

“You should not have agreed with him. He’ll only used you like a servant,” Wen added and followed her bossy friend.

Lando sighed. He doesn’t know if he can endure these kind of people, but he knows that it’s still early to give up, and his master won’t be please to see him break his promise.

On the other hand, Bernadette and Elfedio are still worry about their daughter’s situation. They knew that Kwan won’t let anyone hurt her, but just as how safe she is, that’s also how dangerous it’ll be.

“Kwan Moldrick isn’t just an ordinary man. He has a lot of money, connection, power and enemies. I’m not sure if I can really trust Rebecca’s safety to him,” Elfedio said while sitting down on the couch.

“Don’t forget, darling, it was your decision to let her go with him. If you only didn’t agreed to his nonsense wants, perhaps Rebecca is here now,” Bernadette remind her husband while holding a newspaper.

“I know it was my mistake, but how couldn’t I let him take her if she also wants to join? It won’t be easy to make her stay if she wants to go,” Elfedio replied. “Besides, they are getting married too.”

“You’re right. I received an invitation letter from our daughter, asking us to attend to their wedding in the end of this month at Mount Evercool. Our chance to see Rebecca is truly getting rarer.” Bernadette closed the newspaper and put it on the table.

“It was just yesterday when I was bearing her, but now she’s already getting married,” she added while reminiscing those days.

“We have nothing to do, but to accept that she can’t live with us forever. The time certianly comes that we have to let her go, and support her for her happiness instead of holding on her childish version,” Elfedio said.

Both of them realized that time is fast and learned that they should always spend most of their time with the people they love because they doesn’t know when they will be taken away from them.

“So, do you want to attend in her wedding?” Bernadette asked as she stared right at her husband who’s lying on the couch.

“If this will be the last time that we can see her, I’m willing to bet my own life just to take a glimpse at the woman who gave me hope,” Elfedio answered as he closed his eyes and imagine how Rebecca quickly grew from being a naughty kid.

“I’d also like to see Rebecca even just for the last time,” Lucille interrupted as she entered the living room and walked towards them with a plate of glasses of juice. She put them on the table and sit down on the chair.

“You should. Rebecca will be glad to see your annoying face during her wedding, especially that you’re included in the invitation list. I just don’t know why Damian is also there,” Bernadette said. “Isn’t he dead already?”

“I didn’t expected that he would invite me in his wedding,” Damian soliloquised while reading an invitation letter from Emerson. But what he didn’t expected the most was that he was not just an ordinary man, he wasn’t Emerson, but someone who was powerful than any farmers.

Kwan Moldrick, is a name that has been super popular in the entire land ever since 2015 due to his power and connection that even the government was afraid of him. However, no one ever expected that he even existed, people thought that he was just a gossip.

“How lucky I am to meet a man like that. Although he was dubbed as a criminal, heartless, cruel, and arrogant, I’d never saw such kind of demeanour when he was here, acting as Emerson Bevilla,” Damian added.

Damian knew that there are a lot of bad things that happened when Emerson was there in the mansion of San Jose, but he never find them related to his existence. For him, he was just an ordinary farmer who always seek his advices.
