Chapter 665
Gavin grunted in pain and stumbled back.
Debra ripped off the tape from her mouth and tore away the blindfold. With all the strength she could muster, she screamed, "Help! Somebody, help me!" "Shut up, bitch!" Lennox bellowed, charging at her.
Debra had already managed to loosen the ropes tied around her ankles. Without hesitation, she kicked Lennox right in the groin, sending him howling in pain. Gavin rushed forward to grab her, but she swiftly knocked him down to the ground. It was clear neither of the men had expected Debra to know any self-defense. She silently rejoiced not slacking off during her training with Marion. If she had, she'd probably be dead by now.
"Help!" Debra shouted again, bolting toward the car.
She jumped inside and slammed her foot on the gas, flooring it.
"She's running away," Gavin shouted.
Lennox smacked him on the back of the head. "Stop shouting and give chase."
But they couldn't catch up with the car. They panted, quickly giving up.
Just then, several cars pulled up, headlights illuminating the two men. A tall figure emerged from the lead vehicle.
Drake's arrival frightened Lennox, and she stammered, "Mr. Lowe."
"Where is she?" Drake asked coldly.
Lennox swallowed hard. "S-She ran away."
Drake narrowed his eyes, his fierce aura daunting the two men.Property of Nô)(velDr(a)ma.Org.
Kale came up and yanked the two men off the ground.
Drake asked, "Who is the hirer?"
"It's Reece from Seamar City. He and Zane took the job. We were just supposed to kill her. That's all we know, I swear," Lennox replied.
Drake was unimpressed with the answer. Kale asked him, "Sir, how do we deal with them?"
"Feed them to the sharks."
"Yes, sir."
Lennox and Gavin wet their pants in terror.
"Have mercy, Mr. Lowe!"
"It wasn't our fault. Spare us, please."
...
Drake didn't even glance their way as he walked off. Moments later, Kale's men stuffed them into sacks.
"Shall we pursue her, sir?"
"She won't get far. Search along this road. I want her back in front of me within two hours."
"Understood."
Kale quickly gathered two teams, and they sped off to track down Debra. Another bodyguard draped a coat over Drake's shoulders.
"Sir, the wind's picking up. Why don't you head back and rest? Ms. Frazier isn't familiar with Flesta, and we've
got people at both the airport and the docks. She won't escape
Drake hummed and got into the car.
Outside the hotel, the car rolled into
the parking lot. As Drake stepped out, a sudden slap landed harde across his face, leaving him stunned.
When he looked up, there stood Debra, her clothes tattered and her face furious.
"Debra?" He hadn't thought she would return.
Everything pointed to tonight being the perfect opportunity for her to escape. Yet she came back.
