Chapter 651
Drake gave no response.
Debra asked again, "You weren't some kind of enforcer in the past, were you?"
He came out of the bathroom and called out, "Anyone outside?"
The door creaked open, and Lara entered with her head down. "Yes, Mr. Lowe?"
"Help her change," he ordered, getting out.
Lara rushed to Debra's side, tears streaming down her face. "Ms. Frazier, are you okay?"
"I'm fine. Thankfully, you understood my signal," Debra replied calmly.
Lara had heard everything outside. She glanced at Debra's arm and whispered, "Ms. Frazier, your arm..."
"I broke it myself."
"What?" Lara's eyes widened in shock. "It wasn't Peter?"
"He's not a bull. No way would one hit dislocate my arm," Debra replied.
But if Drake investigated it later, he might suspect her.
A woman trying to seduce her way into a man's favor was far less likely to ignite his protective instincts than one who was brave yet suffered unjustly right under his nose. She couldn't risk Drake seeing through her plan. "I know you did this for me," Lara said. "I swear, I won't tell a soul."
Debra gave a small nod. "Good."
With Lara as a witness and the visible injury on her arm, Debra had just set the perfect trap. She knew Drake wouldn't believe a word from Peter after tonight.
In the cabin, the doctor bandaged Peter's leg. Two mercenaries entered without a word, grabbing Peter and dragging him out.
On the deck, Drake looked down at the bound Peter.
"Sir, I swear, I didn't do anything. It was Debra who seduced me. You know me. I've always been loyal to you. I would never lie to you," Peter stammered, trembling all over. NôvelDrama.Org holds © this.

Drake got up and stepped closer to Peter. "I've told you before. No one should touch my prey."
A cold sweat broke out on Peter's forehead. "Sir, I'm innocent. I would never do that."
"I like people with guts," Drake snorted.
"Sir..."
"But I despise liars."
"Sir, I'm not lying. I swear."
"I've already looked into it, and I saw

how will you prove your innocence?"
"Cameras. The ship has cameras. There must be footage."
Peter's eyes lit up with desperate hope, but as the words left his
mouth, reality struck him. The net

no cameras.
Drake's grin widened just a fraction.
"Sir..."
"There are no cameras, but plenty of witnesses. Bring them over."
"Yes, sir."
One by one, the maids stepped onto the deck. Every one of them had been bullied by Peter before.
Drake demanded lazily, "Tell me, what happened tonight?"
