Goodbye, Mr. Ex: I've Remarried Mr. Right

Chapter 641

"Well, you can't actually..."

"Enough!" Shelia stood up abruptly, her patience wearing thin. "I told you to investigate Debra. Did you do it?"

Holly replied, "Mr. Blair's secretary looked into it. We know Ms. Frazier fell into the sea, her fate uncertain. Mr. Nichols was injured as well."

Shelia scoffed, clearly dissatisfied. "Isn't that all over the news? Couldn't you go to the island and investigate further?"

"Well," Holly hesitated, "Mr. Blair's secretary isn't the same as Joe, who's always by Mr. Nichols' side. Not every bit of information is available to us, and most of what we know is just from the media. Miss, you should already know that." "You're unless," Shelia huffed.

But there was nothing she could do.

The Blair family was rich, but compared to the Nichols family, they were worlds apart. And with Declan away, no one listened to her here anymore.

If she wanted things done, she'd have to rely on herself.

"Get the car ready. I'm going to the Nichols Mansion."

"Miss, you're going again?" Holly hesitated.

Shelia had been visiting the Nichols family so frequently that it was starting to raise eyebrows.

"What? You're not listening to me now? Get it ready."

"Yes, Miss."

Holly hurried off, and after Shelia dressed up, she set off for Nichols Mansion.

The house was in utter chaos. Melody, having heard that Juan had been injured, was in a constant state of anxiety. She sent people out daily to gather updates. It was already late at night when Sophie knocked on the door.

"Miss Miles is here."

"Shelia? What is she doing here again?"NôvelDrama.Org © 2024.

Melody was exasperated. She knew Shelia had ulterior motives, but she had to maintain appearances.

"Tell her I won't see her."

"Understood."

Sophie was secretly relieved. She

didn't like Shelia either. But just aset

she turned around, she saw Shelia boldly walking in.

"Miss Miles?" Sophie stammered.

"I have something important to discuss with Mrs. Nichols Sr., but it seems I'm not welcome," Shelia scoffed.

Melody, sitting up in bed, saw Shelia at the door. Her face softened into a kind smile.

"How so? I was just about to rest. Didn't want you to make a wasted trip."

"Mrs. Nichols Sr., do you know that Debra is still alive?"

"What?"

Melody was stunned. According to Joe, Debra had fallen into the sea and perished.

Shelia walked in, her voice dripping with false concern. "Seems like you didn't know: Debra updated her social media just today. She's been enjoying herself on a cruise ship and is on her way back to Seaman City as we speak."

"How can that be?" Melody muttered incredulously.

No one could be so lucky to survive a disaster twice. She wondered if Debra was just pulling the same trick again.

Shelia leaned closer. "I think we need to discuss something important."

Melody took a deep breath. "What's your suggestion?"

Shelia spoke meaningfully. "What if something were to go wrong with that cruise ship? Or say, she makes it back, but there's an incident at the dock. A shooting, perhaps.
