Gina, And Her Triplet Alphas

Chapter 56

Jasmine

It was the day of mia anniversary, the day everyone had been looking forward to. The excitement, anxiety, and all that were directed toward the anniversary would be over today.

Everyone was glad, fully dressed, except for me, who couldn’t tell why my head was aching so much.

I sat on my bed, burying my head in my palms. I didn’t know the exact reason my head ached that way. I hadn’t been drinking, nor had I engaged in any strenuous work that might have led to the headache. I just stayed there on the bed, waiting for the ache to subside before I could start preparing for the party.

I was still there when my door swung open, and I saw my mates walk into the room, they were engaged in a discussion before they looked up to see me, still undressed, the expression on their faces immediately turned to that of surprise.

“Jasmine,” Zane murmured, rushing and sitting beside me. “Are you okay? Why aren’t you dressed yet?” he asked.

“I am not feeling well. I will take some time to rest before coming to the hall,” I informed them, the ache in my head intensifying at that moment. “You should go join them in the hall,” I added.

Calix shook his head, also sitting beside me. “We can’t leave you alone when you aren’t feeling well. We have to be here for you,” he said and stood up to walk to the coffee vending machine at the end of the room. “Do you mind some coffee?”

I shook my head, not having an appetite for anything, not even water. “You should leave now; people will be waiting for you.”

They shook their heads in unison. “We don’t care about the people waiting for us. We care about you, and you need us at the moment,” Calix stated.

“He is right, Jasmine. You are unwell. What if you need our help after we’re gone? Who will take care of you then?” Ethan said, shaking his head. “We have to stay with you and make sure you are fine.”

I tried my best to stand, even though all I wanted was to rest. “It’s your parents’ big day, not being there would be disrespectful and disregard for him. You all should be there to honor them and be a part of their happiness,” I smiled. “I will join you there in some minutes.”

Ethan held my hand. “Are you sure, Jasmine? Will you join us there?” he asked.

I nodded. “Definitely! Just give me some minutes, and I will be there with you.”

They nodded, kissed my forehead, and left the room. I sighed. I didn’t want to go to the party until the stupid headache subsided. But I had no choice; they’d come back to find me if I didn’t.

I headed for the bathroom and stepped under the shower. The warm water seemed to ease the ache in my head, giving me the calmness I needed.

I was still in the shower when I began hearing noises coming from my room. It sounded as though someone was there and searching through my stuff. I turned off the shower, waiting to see if I heard it right or was just overthinking.

The noise continued, and I wondered who was in my room. I wasn’t sure if it was my mates, since they had just left, and they had no reason to come back and search through my belongings.

“Who is there?” I called from the bathroom, but there was no answer. “Who is there?” I called again but received the same silence.

I knew I had to check it out myself, so I picked up my bathrobe from the hanger and put it on before heading out of the bathroom. I stepped into the room to find most of my things scattered. I couldn’t see anyone, and my heart skipped a beat. What could have happened while I was gone? Who could have done this to my things?

I was still pondering when I saw the shadow of someone standing right behind me. I figured out the person’s plan immediately: it was to distract me with the disarrayed room and potentially kidnap me. I didn’t know who the person was yet, but I had a strong hunch.

I stared at the shadow, calculating how I would react if the person made a move. Then, the person moved, but before they could reach me, I swiftly picked up a flower vase from the table and turned, breaking it on their head.

It was Noah. I knew it; he was the only one who was after me and the only one who could have created this mess just to get my attention.

“What do you want?” I shouted, retying the sash of my robe as I prepared to defend myself again.

Noah removed his hand from his bleeding head, his hand already covered in his b***d.

“You seem to have gathered some courage,” he said, taking his finger into his mouth, to taste his b***d.

“What do you want from me?” I screamed at him.

My pound of flesh. You sent your rascals to my pack to destroy and kill my people. Now it is only fair that I kill them and make you suffer for their stupidity,” he said as he glared at me with a furious expression.

“You left them with no choice Noah, you kidnapped me, and when I left your prison. You kept sending me threatening messages. They have a right to protect their mate,” I barked at him.

“Oh, I can see you supported the atrocities they committed. I have always known you were a cheap w***e, I should have f****d you mercilessly till I fill your dumb brain with my c*m,”

“I guess that was exactly what your father did to your mother, hence the reason for your miserable existence,” I snapped at him.

My reference to his parents seemed to hit him in the wrong places as I could almost taste the danger radiating from him.

“How dare you!” he growled and advanced toward me.

Before he could reach me, I moved, and he ended up hitting his injured head on the wall again. I chuckled, a victorious smile on my face.

That served him right.

I knew he wouldn’t stop until someone intervened, and I was aware that even if I called for help, no one would hear me, given the loud music in the hall. But there was one thing Noah didn’t know.

“Somebody help!” I screamed, still ready to defend myself if he attacked again. “Ethan! Calix! Zane! M…”

He got to me before I could finish my sentence and covered my mouth with his hand. He attempted to restrain my hands behind my back, but I fought back, refusing to yield to his strength.

I bit his hand, and he immediately released it from my mouth. “Help!” I screamed again.

He stepped away from me, realizing that I was unwilling to submit to him.

“If you tell anyone about this, consider your best friend gone. I will kill Mia and send you just her head!” he threatened and jumped out of the window.

I let out a sigh of relief and fell onto the bed. I could have been kidnapped if I hadn’t fought back. His threat lingered in my mind, and I quickly stood up, rushing to tidy up the room as I would have to explain what had happened to anyone who saw the mess.

I gathered everything back in its place and headed back to the bathroom to wash up. Minutes later, I stood in front of the mirror, fully dressed and ready to go. I headed to the hall, keeping a smile on my face, acting as if nothing had happened.

I reached the crowded hall, seeing my mates and Mia dancing on the floor. I found a place to sit first.

As I watched them, I remembered what had just happened and how I was still in danger. My mates believed they had given Noah the scare of his life and that he would never bother me again, but it had just happened.

I shouldn’t have taken their words at face value because I knew Noah would never stop until he got what he wanted.

But my friends were there, thinking they had chased him off. However, he was still lurking around us, and he had also threatened to harm Mia if I told anyone about what had happened. What should I do now? I was lost in my thoughts when one of the maids passed by with a tray of wine.

I stopped her. “Three glasses,” I requested

“But this is alcoholic, ma’am, and it is…”

“Two glasses,” I repeated, and she placed them on my table slowly before walking away.

I picked up the first glass and gulped it down all at once. It was the only way to distract myself from my thoughts and focus on the present moment. I continued drinking and asking for more until my mates approached me.

“Are you sure you’re fine, Jasmine? You’re drinking too much,” Calix asked, concern on his face.Content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

“It’s a happy day, right?” I chuckled. “I’m just having fun. There’s nothing wrong with me.”

We were still there when Elena, the janitor, approached us. “Hello, everyone,” she greeted and turned to me.

“Jasmine, I’m so glad to see you, alive,” she said, her eyes a glint of something evil.

I was confused by her words. What did she mean? I looked up at Mia, who gestured to me, indicating that she would explain later.

I nodded to her. I didn’t like the energy I got from Elena, but I couldn’t put my finger on why.

A minute later, Mia’s parents entered the hall, and everyone stood up to honor them.
