Gina, And Her Triplet Alphas

Chapter 36

Third-person narrative

Since they arrived at the hospital, Ethan, Calix, and Zane have been super worried for their father and their mate. The situation had escalated far more than they ever thought it would.

A few days ago, they wouldn’t have expected things to have been so bad that one of their dads would get hurt so badly.

They were seriously scared that nothing horrible would happen to their mate. The picture where they saw her being all tied up kept tormenting them, and they blamed themselves for being the reason things

Their search so far has proved fruitless, as all the leads that they got led to dead ends. They didn’t want to think that something horrible had happened to their mate because it would break them.

The situation was too emotionally draining for their mother, especially after she had donated her b***d that was used for the surgery that lasted over four hours.

The doctor suggested that Gina should be taken home to rest, but Gina was having none of it, as she wanted to stay by Denver’s side.

Gina was later tricked into going home after her children told her they were hungry and needed a new set of clothes. Devon had told Mia to come home with her mother to help with the cooking and packing of some of the things they might need in the hospital.

Derrick was busy working along with the various units that had responded to the explosion site to figure out who could have been responsible for the blast.

They had invited a bomb expert to investigate the explosion scene, and he was asked to meet with the team leader later that evening.

When Derrick was done, he came back to the hospital to meet his children and to know how Denver was doing.

At the time he arrived, Denver was still unconscious, and his state was such a pitiful one.

They were soon told that someone had come to see them. Derrick, Ethan, and Zane went outside to see a man standing by a red truck parked in front of the hospital.

They soon found out that he was the bomb expert who had come to tell them about his findings.

“So, what did you want to tell us?” Derrick asked, moving forward to meet him while the others stood behind him.

“Well, I went to the scene of the explosion, and apart from the bomb that exploded, I found traces of other bombs in the place, but they were all removed before I got there. This means that if you hadn’t gotten out quickly, something more sinister would have taken place,” the man explained, and Derrick closed his eyes.

This went a lot deeper than they thought. It means that it had all been planned out, and the people who had set it up were just waiting for them to step into their trap, and they did.

Derrick looked back at his sons, but they were both silent and deep in thought.

“Go on,” he urged the man.

“According to my knowledge, there are only three packs that have access to explosives like that, and they are all rogue packs,” said the man.NôvelDrama.Org content rights.

“Rogue packs, huh?” Zane said from where he was standing.

“Well, thank you for your hard work. Please keep on investigating and finding out about these three packs. Let us know if you’re able to pinpoint the most suspicious of them; Jasmine might just be there,” Derrick told the man, and he nodded.

“I’ll take my leave now,” the man said, going back to his car and driving off.

Derrick turned back to his son and placed his hand on his forehead, rubbing at it. The whole situation was stressful for all of them. Their bodies weren’t at rest, and neither were their minds. They had hardly even eaten or slept all day.

“Well, we have to make do with the information we have for now and keep searching on our own. We can’t only depend on him,” Ethan said, and everyone agreed by nodding their heads.

They went back into the hospital, and when they were approaching Denver’s room, they met the doctor who was in charge of treating their dad in the hallway.

“Hi, doctor. How is our dad doing?” Ethan asked him.

“Ah, well. He’s doing great now. He’s in a stable condition, and we should be thankful for that because he was in really bad shape when he was brought in. But thanks to your mom’s b***d, he is recovering fast,” the doctor said.

Hearing that made them sigh in relief. At least they could stop worrying about their dad for now.

“The only thing is that he’ll need a wheelchair for a while after he wakes up,” he informed them, and they nodded.

“That won’t be a problem, doctor. We’ll take care of it,” they assured him, and he nodded and left them to go see their dad after telling them to get his medication from the counter out front.

They went into their father’s room, and he was connected by all sorts and sizes of tubes to monitors and drips. The sight of him made them all feel bad.

“This is our fault,” Zane said. “If only that picture hadn’t spread, then Jasmine wouldn’t have run away, and Dad wouldn’t have been in this condition.”

They had been blaming themselves for what had happened for a while. The guilt had been eating away at them for a while, and it was only natural for them to feel that way.

“Don’t worry, Zane. Everything’s going to be okay; I believe it,” Ethan encouraged, and they fell into silence.

They remained that way, each of them deep in thought, before, after a while, they noticed their dad staring. They all rushed to him in surprise, and Calix hit the button to alert the nurses, and a few seconds later, they came running in.

The doctor also came in and checked his vitals while Ethan picked up his phone to call their mom to inform her that he had woken up.

By the time Gina, Mia, and Devon arrived, the doctor and nurses had already gone but advised them not to stress him out too much.

Gina opened the hospital room door, and her eyes widened when she saw her husband staring back at her with narrow slits.

She started crying as she laid her head on his chest.

“Are you alright?” She asked with concern in her voice.

He laughed weakly at her.

“I’m fine, Gina. There’s no need to cry,” he said to her as she pulled away from him, and his gaze moved to the side as he saw Mia standing there, tears in her eyes.

He stretched his hand towards her, and she walked to him slowly, not wanting the tears to fall.

She sat by his right side, and he pulled her to his chest, rubbing her back. He could see that she was in pain too. He didn’t want to worry them at all, but the situation was inevitable.

Information had earlier gotten to Jasmine’s parents, so they soon arrived to visit Denver. Gina called Jasmine’s mother aside to inform her about the issues they were having.

Jasmine’s parents are both thrown into shock as they wonder where Jasmine must be.

They went back into the room Denver was in after Calix told them that Denver wanted to address them.

“I just want to say thank you all for holding on. I’m sorry for causing you all trouble at a time like this,” he said, looking at his brothers. “Thank you for standing in for me and taking care of the family,” they both smiled at him.

“I’m happy to see that you’re okay, Denver. I was really worried,” Jasmine’s dad said.

“You all don’t have to worry about anything anymore; I’ll only get better. I’m already going to be grateful to the moon goddess for blessing me and my brothers with such an amazing mate. Gina, you have saved me in more ways than I can ever repay you, and I am forever grateful to be part of the people worthy enough to call you mate,” he said, staring deep into Gina’s eyes.

“Don’t you think you are talking too much? You shouldn’t be stressed, you know,” Gina said while trying to wipe off the tears watering her eyes.

“I am fine, Gina. I am just glad that I am still here with you all. But for now, we should focus our attention on finding Jasmine. That should be our top priority right now. Has there been any progress?” he questioned.

Just as they were about to answer, the door opened behind them, and in stepped Jasmine, the very subject of the topic they were discussing. Their eyes widened in surprise, and some turned to anger as they noticed the person behind her, Noah.
