Found Again

“I miss you, sweetie!” My mom hugged me as soon as she saw me waiting for them at the airport.

I hug her back. “I miss you too mom!”

My dad waited until my mom let go of me. He then gave me the same warm hug. Gelo, Tanya, and Dennis did the same.

I was surprised and happy when I saw Dennis. My mom did not tell me that they will bring Dennis with them.

“I didn’t know you’ll come, Dennis. But I’m glad you are here. I miss your brother!”

I was not able to visit my adopted family that much because many things have happened. But I made sure to call them as much as I could.

“I miss your too sis, mom and dad wanted to come but they can’t because this trip is so sudden, they already have a prior commitment and they can’t reschedule it,” Dennis explained.

I messed up his hair like I always did. “You don’t need to explain to me. I know mom and dad. I’m already thankful that you are here. You can bond now with your new sister and brother.” I said referring to Gelo and Tanya, my biological siblings.

I was busy talking to Dennis when someone did a fake cough. I look at that person and I saw Lance smirking at me.

“Where’s my hug?” Lance said.

I gave him a death glare remembering our conversation last week.

I rolled my eyes. “Shut up Lance!”

Lance went to me and forcefully hug me. I don’t have a choice but to hug him back.

“Don’t be angry with me okay? I will respect your decision. I am always on your side. Don’t forget that.”

I smiled when I hear those words from my cousin. Knowing that he is on my side is more than enough for me. My family’s support and love are enough for me to move forward with my life.

We spend the whole day exploring the city. I was happy to see my siblings and cousin getting along with Dennis. They all treated him like a family. I wish my adopted parents were also here.

The next day, I have an interview scheduled with Ava. Then tomorrow I will be her stylist for the whole day. So tomorrow my family will explore the city without me. but for now, they will go with me on my interview with Ava.

We are already in Noah’s studio. Ava went to me as soon as she saw me entering the place.

“I’m not late right?” I ask her then I look at my watch.

I’m not late. I’m fifteen minutes earlier than our agreed schedule.

“You are not late, don’t worry. I’m just excited today because you are going to introduce me with your-” Ava was not able to finish what she was about to say because she saw my mom behind me.

Ava’s eyes widen and a bit speechless. She was indeed a fan of my mom.

I introduce Ava to my mom and the rest of my family. Ava was able to recover her poise. She was able to carry herself as she was talking to my family especially my mom.

Ava’s unexpected reaction made me more curious about my mom’s past modeling career.

After the quick introduction, Noah’s team called us to prepare for the interview shoot. I was already planning to hire my team. I can’t depend on Noah’s team forever. Noah is also busy with his vlogs and modeling career. I also need to be independent. But Noah and I agreed that I will rent his studio every time I have interviews.

I was already wrapping up my interview when I notice Noah’s presence.

I waived at him after my ending spiels. He smile and went to me and greeted me and Ava.

“You are just in time. Celine is here. I already met her.” Ava whisper to Noah.

I just shook my head after hearing that. These two act like a fangirl and boy to my mom. It feels so weird. I never look at my mom like that.

“Mom you have another fan here,” I said in a teasing voice.

My mom blushed while Noah pinched my shoulder. I just laughed at them.

“Hey, what do you think you’re doing?” Lance said to Noah in a cold voice.

I furrowed. What’s with his mood?

“Lance, it was nothing. I was teasing him that’s why.” I defended Noah.

“I’m not asking you, Alli. I was asking that guy.” Lance said with the same cold tone.

Lance is acting weird. He was never the snob type of person. He was always friendly and accommodating. Does he have any issue with Noah?

“Do you guys know each other?” I can’t help but ask.

Noah shakes his head. “I never met him.”

I look at Lance and wait for his answer.

“I just met him today.” Lance’s short reply.

“Then why are you acting like that? You were never the snob type. I thought you guys have some issues with each other. You are acting weird Lance.” I said in a serious tone.

Noah is a great friend of mine. I don’t like Lance’s way of talking to him.

“I’m sorry Alli. I’m just not used to seeing you closer to other guys than me and my friends.” He said in a more calm voice.

“Just don’t be like that. Noah is a great guy. He helps me a lot with my vlogging career and he is a good friend of mine.”

Lance nodded. “Fine. But I do hope that you guys will only remain as GOOD FRIEND.” He said emphasizing the word, good friend.

The mood became a lot better after that. Noah invited my family and Ava to his restaurant near his studio.

“Noah it should be me paying for our dinner and not you,” I told him.

He went closer to me to whisper. “Just let me treat you. It was my fan service for your mom.” He said.

Noah keep on insisting on his fan service reason so I had no choice but to agree with what he wanted.

During our dinner, Ava and Noah keep on asking my mom things about her modeling career. I was honestly enjoying their conversation. There are stories that my mom shared with them that I never heard about.

“Why don’t you do an interview with your mom, Alli?” Ava suggested.

All of them nodded, agreeing to Ava’s suggestion.

“I agree with Ava. I’m sure many people would want to see your mom on your vlog, especially in the fashion industry. It will also attract many brands.” Noah added.

Speaking of brands, I remember my meeting last week with Lush. They are also asking me if I can collaborate with my mom to promote their brand on my vlog.

I turn to my mom. “Mom, actually Lush ask me if I can convince you to collaborate with me on my vlog promoting their brand. They are willing to give you whatever the amount you want to ask from them.”

“I am willing to collaborate with sweetie, but the decision isn’t mine to make.” Mom said then she turned to my dad.

I get what she meant by what she said. My mom said when I ask her why did she stop his modeling career, she told me that it was dad who wanted her to quit. Dad is a jealous guy.

I look at dad and gave my sweetest face. “Dad?”

All of us were looking at dad and waiting for his approval.

My dad sighed aloud. “Fine.”
