Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life

Chapter 1536

Fiona glanced up at him, her eyes briefly lit up before she shook her head.

"Those people aren't worth the worry," she said, dismissing the fact that she'd been bullied, which tugged at Jackson's heartstrings.

"If you ever need your big brother, just holler. Nash is at school; he'll take care of it," Jackson reassured her, gently tousling her hair. He noticed the nearly empty plate of chicken nuggets and asked, "Are you full?”

"Yeah, I'm full," she replied.

Jackson got up and said, "Let me take you back to the hotel."

They walked under the dim streetlights, their silhouettes forming a picture of perfect harmony.

Fiona clung to Jackson's arm like a little bunny all the way to the hotel room.

"Get some sleep early tonight. I've got a surprise for you when you wake up," Jackson whispered.

"A surprise? What kind?" Fiona asked, her eyes wide with curiosity. "Can I have a peek now?"

"Nope, it's late. Get some rest first," Jackson insisted with a shake of his head.

Pouting, Fiona sighed and obediently lay down on the bed. Only then did Jackson leave, making sure the hotel staff would keep an eye on Fiona's safety before he drove off.

As soon as Jackson left, Fiona sprang out of bed.

She surveyed the empty room, then curiously opened the surveillance app on her phone. The scene from her dorm room instantly appeared on the screen.

Patricia and her crew were in a tizzy, blaming each other. After all, a thousand- word apology wasn't a walk in the park.

It was quite the show, watching them turn on each other.

With a smirk, a notification popped up on her phone. Intrigued, Fiona tapped it open.

"Breaking! Allen's company is actually under Woods Corporation!"

"Teen Fiona is Jackson's sister!"

These two headlines quickly jumped to the top of the trending list.

Fiona was stunned. How did people even dig up her connection to Jackson?

But she kind of relished the attention.

She had expected the comments be filled with criticism, especially since her phone hadn't stopped buzzing with Twitter alerts and mentions.

To her surprise, today's messages were unusually calm.

She casually clicked through a few.

"Whoa! Can someone explain how Fiona's so influential she can even acquire her brother's media company?"

"Whoa! I take back what I said. Fiona, please don't blacklist my brother because

of my ignorance. I'm begging you!"

"Dear Lord, I'd be so grateful!"

"I was blind and clueless. Please, let nothing happen to my brother, and I'd trade my fun summer vacation for that."

Fiona chuckled at these comments.

There was a resilience and a touch of something intriguing in them.

She noticed the latest message-Allen had tweeted and tagged her.

"Nice to meet you again @Fiona," it read, alongside a photo of his media company's official rebranding.

Fiona opened the image and

thought of Jackson's words. A smile played

on her lips-it seemed this

was the gift Jackson mentioned. noveldrama

It was indeed a rather unique gesture.

Fiona sent Jackson a message: "Brother, I got the gift. I love it. Thank you."

Jackson replied: "Go to sleep!"

Fiona: "Goodnight, brother."

Jackson: "Goodnight."
