Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan)

Chapter 26

Chapter 26

In the afternoon, Estelle took a day off from the school to keep Henson accompany

Upon arrival, they headed straight for the headteacher’s office. The headteacher wasn’t there, but

another teacher knew that Estelle was the parent coming to handle the situation. They were polite,

pouring her a glass of water and asking her to wait for a moment.

She overheard two teachers gossiping, “Who is she?”

“A student’s parent.”

‘So young? She looks like a student herself!”

Henson whispered to Estelle, “Don’t worry, it’s all good. I’ll explain to our teacher that my uncle likes

younger people.”

Estelle thought to herself. “Actually, you don’t need to explain. Men always like younger ones!”

As more teachers came in, some recognized Henson and greeted him warmly, saying that he has

improved in his studies recently.

Estelle took their compliments as to her humbly.

With more teachers coming in and not wanting to disturb them, Estelle took Henson to wait in the

meeting room next door.

After waiting for about five minutes, a man in a blue striped suit and black-rimmed glasses entered.

Henson stood up, “Hello, Mr. Dunn, my aunt is here!”

Estelle stepped forward and said with a warm smile, “Mr. Dunn, I’m Henson’s aunt.”

Mr. Dunn looked surprised, but then he smiled, “Nice to meet you, Henson’s aunt. I just called your

husband as well.”

Mr. Dunn turned towards the door and said, “Mr. Lamont, what a coincidence, your wife is here too!” NôvelDrama.Org is the owner.

Estelle suddenly turned her head and met the man’s pitch-black eyes, her mind buzzing, and she was

completely stunned!

Henson was also startled, swallowing hard, and cried out, “Uncle!”

Jonathan’s eyes swept over both of them, emitting a cryptic meaning. He simply responded with a

noncommittal grunt.

Mr. Dunn told Henson with a smile, “I called your dad, but he’s abroad and couldn’t come. He gave me

your uncle’s number instead. I didn’t expect that you’d bring your aunt here yourself!”

He then apologized to Estelle, “Sorry for the trouble.”

Estelle didn’t dare look at Jonathan and forced herself to stay calm, “It’s alright. Henson asked me to

come because he didn’t want to bother his uncle.”

“Yes, it’s fine whoever comes,” Mr. Dunn said with a warm smile.

Jonathan looked at Estelle, “Take Henson outside and wait. I’ll handle this.”

“Oh, okay!” Estelle nodded repeatedly, not daring to look at Jonathan. She took Henson and hurried out

the door.

As soon as they left the office, Estelle’s face changed. She stared at Henson angrily, “Didn’t you say he

wouldn’t find out?”

Henson defended himself, “The teacher asked me to call a parent. How was I supposed to know she’d

call my dad behind my back?!”

Estelle gritted her teeth, “You’re going to get me killed!”

Jonathan drove to the school himself. One hour later, he sat in the driver’s seat with Estelle and

Henson in the

back.

The car stopped on the side of the road without moving. Jonathan answered a few phone calls to deal

with matters within the company, while Estelle and Henson sat upright, trying to minimize their

presence

Once Jonathan hung up, Estelle immediately said, “Mr. Lamont, it’s all my fault. I shouldn’t have lied

with Henson and failed to set a good example. I apologize to you and to Henson’

Henson quickly interjected, “It’s not Ms. Macclain’s fault. I forced her to pretend to be my aunt.”

“It’s my fault. Henson is young and doesn’t know any better. I’m an adult and should know right from

wrong”

“It has nothing to do with you!” Henson defended her, “You’re taking money from my family, so of

course, you should listen to me.”
