Carson’s pov

She was completely ravishing. She had dark brown hair and the most unique green eyes I’ve ever seen, It sparkled under the moonlight. How could I have been so careless as to bump into such beauty? I wanted to look at her all night, I needed to know her name. If I could I would never let any harm come to her.

I know from there that she had to be mine and mine alone. I didn’t quite understand what was drawing me to her, Was it the eyes? Or the way she looked at me with such innocence that made me want to devour her and hold her all at once.

I need her, I want her. She can’t slip through my fingers, no matter what, I don’t care about any meeting, I just wanted to be close to her now and always. I moved closer and raised a finger signaling that I wanted to speak with her but Benson had the worst timing

“We are going to be late” Benson came ringing it in my ear, I didn’t care who was waiting, it could be the president and I wouldn’t budge, But the silly man had to take her inside,

“Common Valerie let’s go” Normally I would’ve held her hand but something in me had to let her go, for now.

I finally heed to his call and as soon as I was about to leave I saw her purse lying on the floor. It must have fallen off after our encounter. She is so delicate. Hopefully, I didn’t hurt her in any way, I picked up the purse and smiled and went over to where the car was parked and the door was opened and we headed to the meeting place.

Benson finally got information about the message that was sent earlier “One of the biggest shareholders for one of your law firms is threatening to pull out” Benson said

I didn’t want anything else to be in my head except for the stunning girl I had just met a few minutes ago but I wanted to seem at least a bit interested in whatever Benson was saying

“Now why’s that?” I said casually, my mind still kept going back to those beautiful eyes that looked at me.

“I don’t know his reason but that’s why he asked for this meeting,” Benson said looking at me, I could see with my side eyes that his eyes were fixed on me, He must’ve been wondering why I was so distracted. I turned to look and Benson, My stare could kill a man so I heard but somehow Benson had grown unfazed by my glares.

“Which one?” I asked, I needed to know the person who had just stopped me from being with Valerie, oh Valerie, Such a perfect name.

“It was an anonymous call”, Benson replied, Well I guess we will just have to find out. There must be something else Benson was trying to hide, I mean why else would he agree to a meeting this late, He saw I was wondering.

“He’s threatening to go to the media, he said he has some dirt on you,” Benson said, I chuckled, Now this is more like it, Some drama, I can’t wait to see the nincompoop that it was a great idea to threaten me

“This will be interesting” I replied back

We finally arrived at the designated bar and it was empty as expected. My eyes trailed to the right corner and saw a car with a driver sitting inside. I walked towards the entrance of the bar while Benson followed behind me, I got in and I heard a familiar and annoying voice

“Care for a drink?” Mr. Longe requested

I knew this meeting wouldn’t be long, He has been stealing from the firm for a very long time. I didn’t want to fire him or expose him because it would have caused a scandal. After the discussion, I left him shaken and I am pretty sure he would never dare try to threaten me ever again. Now I have to think of a plan to get Valerie in my arms

I didn’t reap out the head of Mr Longe because he helped me meet her today. If he hadn’t called for a meeting I would not have left Mr Abnor and I would’ve missed the opportunity to see an angel. We got Into the car and drove off, I asked Benson to do some research about Valerie, Which he did perfectly, I got the address and everything I needed, We agreed to meet at a cafe close to her house and I handed her purse to her, But I let her know of my intentions and her reaction was expected, I gave room for suspense and I sent out the letter, I knew there was no way I would let her out of my sight again.

Valerie was devastated to be taken away from her parents, My heart burned when I saw her in such pain, I didn’t want to do that to her but I couldn’t let myself release her either, That same night I went to her room to watch her sleep, She is truly the most beautiful person I’ve ever seen When she got up I hid so she wouldn’t see me, I didn’t want her to be freaked out about my presence. I was overjoyed to know she was finally with me, Even though I can’t be with her completely I know I can bask in her beauty for as long as we both shall live.

I had a long day at work and I had a bath and went straight to bed. I was awakened by Benson

“Carson, Valerie isn’t in her room” I punched the wall hard, and it left a hole. I wasn’t just angry at the fact she ran away but I was enraged that she let herself be vulnerable to the dangers of the world. I was not just angry, I was scared.
