I walked inside the building and all heads turned to look at me.

They kept on murmuring and l just kept my head straight.

I branch at the receptionist post and she smiled.

“Okay. Second floor. Walk down to the end of the hallway and you will sight the elevator which will take you there”she directed and i nodded.

“Thanks”I smiled and she nodded rapidly.

I started walking away with the guards and when we reached the end of the hallway, just like the lady had said, we sighted the elevator.

“We will occupy the other elevator, ma’am”the guard said and I nodded.

I pressed the button and it dings opened.

I stepped in and the door slided close and punched the number of floor I was going and the elevator started going up.

I brought out my phone from my purse and logged in on the web.

The guards also came out of the other elevator and we walked to the secretary.

I glanced at the front and there I saw dad sitting on his chair.

I walked to the door and as I made to knock, his voice stopped me.

“Just come in. How can you knock on your dad’s door before entering”he said.

I pushed the door opened and closed it back when I got in.

The guards stood outside waiting for me.

“Hey, dad”I waved.

“Hey, daughter. Who was that guy”he asked.

My heart leapt and I stared at him closely.

I sighed and walked more closer to him.

“Did you ask me to come here so you could interrogate me?”I asked, feigning a defiant look cause I’m damn scared if him finding out about Darrel and I inwardly.

“Of course not”he shook his head.

“Then why?. Anyway, I must admit, you’re a good interrogator”I chuckled and glanced down at the files in front of him.

“Okay. You will have to bring him home so I could interrogate him and ask about other stuff”

“Just like you interrogated me?”I asked and glanced at him.

“Okay. If you don’t know, you’re also interrogating me right now”he laughed and I smiled.

I can’t believe I managed to twist him with words.

“Uhm, so, why did you call me here”I asked and he nodded..

“Right. I want to introduce you in the board room”he answered.

“Of course. You will take over this company after I retired”he replied and stood up.

“Follow me”he muttered.

“But…”I tried saying but kept shut when dad turned to me.

I huffed and trailed behind him to the door.

He opened it and we stepped out.

The guards bowed to him and he waved his fingers at them.

I walked behind him while the guards also walked behind me.

“I apologize for coming late, ladies and gentlemen”dad started as he walked over to his seat.

The people got involved with a side talk while staring at me.

“So, in our last meeting, I said I will bring my daughter to introduce her to you guys because she will be taking over the company after my retirement”he explained and they all nodded.

“Excuse me?. This is my company so I get to take decision and I haven’t ask about your opinion on this”dad replied brusquely.
