Dumping Him for His Uncle (Natasha and Zachary)

Chapter 80

Zachary's body had only just begun to recover, and the doctor had advised him to stay in bed and rest.

Unsurprisingly, the instant Zachary opened the door, Xavier rushed straight at

him.

"Get out! She's still unconscious!" Xavier yelled in a suppressed voice.

Even though he knew Natasha wouldn't wake up from the noise, he acted with the utmost caution. It showed just how attentive he was in caring for Natasha.

For a moment, neither of them moved, standing there in a silent standoff.

Julian quickly intervened. "Don't worry, Mr. Foster. Mr. Jones is here looking after Ms. Bradley."

His words made sense, and after some persuasion, Zachary reluctantly returned to his room. Although he was in bed, his mind was with Natasha.

Before long, Quentin appeared at the door. "I heard that Mr. Foster has woken up. I was wondering if I could have a word with him."

Julian more or less guessed that it had to do with Matthew, so he simply let him in.

No one knew exactly what Zachary said to Quentin, but it took about half an hour before the latter came back out.

"This matter will be left entirely to you to deal with, Mr. Foster. After all, this is your family's affair," Quentin said with a hint of resignation as he turned to leave.

Julian hadn't even had time to get comfortable in his seat before Zachary sent him off to check on Natasha.

As night deepened, the wind howled outside the window, but the room remained peaceful and quiet.

"Zachary has been awake for a while now. Why are you still asleep?" Xavier whispered to the unconscious Natasha.

His eyes were filled with sorrow. As he gently wiped her hand with a damp towel, Natasha suddenly pulled her hand away with a burst of strength.

Her eyelids flew open, and she gasped sharply, only regaining control of her breathing after several seconds.

"You... You're awake?" Xavier asked.

His voice was low and far from joyful as Natasha's current state was hardly any better than being unconscious.

Natasha blinked slowly in response. For some reason, she found herself unable to speak.

"Hang on. I'll get the doctor right away." Xavier was completely flustered, and the commotion alerted Julian.

While Xavier was gone, Julian walked over and took a discreet peek through the door of Natasha's room. He then hurried back to tell Zachary that she had finally woken up. sŵnovelnoveldrama

But by the time Xavier returned with the doctor, no one else could get inside.

"Find out what's going on with Natasha," Zachary instructed.

He had just settled down to deal with some official matters, but as soon as he heard the news about Natasha, his mind went blank.

Soon, the doctor came out of the room and met Xavier's deeply worried gaze. "Don't worry too much. What she's experiencing is a psychological state that comes with

near death experiences. Pheel.ne

often close themselves off, trying to protect themselves from anticipated pain."

After a brief pause, he added, "With some proper rest and conversation, she should be back to herself soon."

Xavier finally let out a sigh of relief after hearing the doctor's words. As the doctor left, he rolled his eyes at Julian, who was still lingering by the door.

Julian was barely holding back his anger. If it weren't for Natasha, he would've

already given Xavier a piece of his mind.

"Do you want some fruit? I brought a bunch from Cendale," Xavier offered, trying

to strike up a conversation the moment he entered the room.

However, Natasha remained absorbed in her previous research findings.

Xavier had no idea what she was thinking or what she might have seen when she was on the brink of death.
