Dumping Him for His Uncle (Natasha and Zachary)

Chapter 100

Vivian York stepped out from behind them.

She was the same gentle looking girl Natasha had spotted earlier in the lab. Her hair was styled in a loose half bun, with soft strands of hair cascading down her shoulders.

She hadn't dressed up in an obvious way yet carried an effortlessly elegant and expensive air with her.

Vivian walked slowly up to Natasha. "Hi, I'm Vivian York. Welcome to the team."

Vivian smiled warmly and extended her hand in a friendly gesture.

Having just arrived in a completely new environment, Natasha still felt slightly out of place. She hadn't expected anyone to be so quick to befriend her.

"I'm Natasha Bradley. I look forward to learning from you," Natasha replied.

To her surprise, that simple sentence drew laughter from the group around them.

Vivian quickly stepped in with a kind explanation. "Don't mind them. They're always like that. What they're trying to say is that you're the one in charge here. If anything, we're the ones who look forward to learning from you."

They all looked the same age as Natasha. However, her role as the lead placed her at a level most of them wouldn't reach even after ten more years at Fansville Research Institute.

Since she had just arrived, Natasha wasn't familiar with the lab's internal procedures yet. It was understandable that it was difficult for her to jump right into managing a project.

"Don't worry. If you ever need anything, just come and look for me," Vivian offered with a smile. Then, she walked off with the others.

Vivian left a genuinely good impression on Natasha. She was beautiful, soft spoken, and had a warm, approachable personality. It was no wonder she was so well-liked.

Just as Natasha turned to continue exploring, a dark figure leaped out from the shadows. The sudden movement startled her.

"What the What's that?" she exclaimed.

She instinctively dodged to the side. The person who had jumped out ended up landing on nothing.

Luckily, Xavier managed to catch his balance. Otherwise, he would've crashed straight to the ground.

"Wow. Your reflexes are impressive. When are you going to play games with me?" Xavier grinned and walked up to her.

"You little punk! When did you get here?"

She was genuinely happy to see him. Maybe it was because she had been surrounded by strangers until now, or perhaps she was just glad to know that he had also made t into Fansville Research Institute.

"With my skills? Please. Getting a spot here through the university was a breeze," he bragged.

As always, Xavier was full of himself. Natasha knew exactly what kind of person he was.

"Do you know what you're supposed to be doing here?" she asked.

Honestly, Natasha didn't feel comfortable having Xavier assigned to just anyone.

He had only just arrived and hadn't been assigned anywhere.

So, she decided to take him straight to Quentin. She had mentioned Xavier to Quentin before. However, Quentin had been too busy to deal with it until now.

The fact that Xavier managed to get in on his own merit had definitely caught Quentin's attention.

"You two are full of surprises. Since you got in with your own abilities you can choose who you want to follow. Just go with whoever you think you'll learn the most from," Quentin said.

Quentin's casual attitude surprised both Natasha and Xavier. But it was definitely

a good thing.

"You're not seriously thinking of picking someone else over me, are you?" Natasha asked, eyeing him.

She watched as Xavier hesitated with a pen in his hand, weighing his options.

"What are you talking about? I'm just wondering if you'll work me to death if I pick you," Xavier retorted.noveldrama
