Unice’s PoV

“What exactly are you doing here? Why are you not with my men?” Ace approached me, and I didn’t know what to say to him.

“I’m the one who invites her out; is there a problem with that? I know you’re overprotective, but give her what she wants right now,” Zoey boasted while Ace stared at my friend.

“I don’t care if you’re her friend; what matters is that she’s safe and with my men!” Ace said this, and I moved Zoey away from him.

“I apologize, Ace, for not informing you! Look, everything is fine! Do you see anyone who wishes to harm me?” I questioned him, and I was surprised when he pulled me away from Mr. Daffe and Zoey.

“I’m letting you go out with my men; why are you doing this? I’m aware that I’m overprotective. You know that I will suffer once more if you die!” Ace remarked, and he was correct. To avoid his angry expression, I look down at my shoes.

“I’m not going to let that happen again! I don’t want to lose someone I care about!” Ace added. When I looked around, I noticed people staring at us.

“I’m sorry, I just wanted to go out and have some fun,” I murmured and felt him hug me, which surprised me.

“Let me finish my business with Mr. Daffe, then I can accompany you today to the mall; I know today I have work, but the first priority is you. After my work, we can have our time,” Ace reassured as he calmed his voice, and I smiled when he said that. My heart was racing so fast.

“All right, I’ll meet you outside the DOD store. Perhaps I can look at the stuffed toy as well,” I suggested, and Ace let go of my hug.

We return to where Zoey and Mr. Daffe are, and they look at us; we are currently holding hands.

“Ace will accompany me; can we wait for him? He’s just talking to his business partner,” I reassured Zoey as Ace let go of my hand.

“That’s fine with me; let’s see what this man is selling to his department store,” Zoey said, referring to Mr. Daffe.

“With that out of the way, I welcome you to my DOD store!” Mr. Daffe welcomes us to his store, and we follow the two as they walk while talking.

“Ace’s business partner is awesome; could you please introduce me to him?” Zoey asked for me.

“Are you already interested in him? You have good taste,” I teased Zoey as we approached the DOD store.

“Panda stuffed animals!” When I heard Zoey’s point, we went inside the DOD store, where I saw Max and Charlie.

“Miss Unice! I didn’t realize you were here; did Ace scold you?” Max was taken aback when he saw me.

“What did you expect? I tried to flee once more. But I’m not leaving him; I want to go to the mall without his men,” I muttered, making him laugh.

“You have a beautiful friend; could you introduce me to her?” Max insisted, but Zoey was focused on Mr. Daffe.

“I can introduce her to you, but she already likes Mr. Daffe,” I explained, and he was taken aback.

I looked around and noticed a large penguin stuff toy; I touched it, and it was so fluffy that I picked it up, and when I looked at Ace, he was already staring at me.

“Would you like that?” Ace inquired, and I returned the penguin stuff toy to its shelf.

“No, I’m fine without it; I’m just looking at it,” I replied, looking at other stuffed toys around me and noticing Zoey staring at the big panda stuff toy.

“Would you like that, Zoey?” I pointed, and she turned to face me.

“Of course! It was enormous! I can sleep right there!” I laughed as Zoey stated. The panda stuff toy was so big that I think one person could sleep in it.

“You should already have a boyfriend so that someone can buy you what you want as a gift,” I suggested, and she pouted.

“I really wish I had a boyfriend like Ace. He is overprotective and will give you everything you want,” Zoey remarked, and I looked at Ace. He had finished talking to Mr. Daffe.

“Looks like Ace was done doing his business here,” I said to Zoey, looking at Mr. Daffe rather than Ace.

“I think I want to stay here longer; I’m finished buying what I want to give you, Unice,” Zoey said, and I was taken aback. Then she gave me the plastic bag where my new clothes are there.

“Are you sure? Are you going to speak with Mr. Daffe?” I asked her a question, and she nodded.

“If there is any progress between us, I will text you about it!” Zoey laughed and smiled at me.

“Are you Zoey, right? Would you like the giant panda stuff toy?” Mr. Daffe inquired of Zoey, and I smiled, not wanting to interfere with Zoey’s love life.

“Are we going back to the company, boss?” Ace was questioned by Charlie.

“You two go back to my office to finish some paperwork, and I’ll accompany Unice today.” Ace smiled as he looked at me after I heard him.

“Be careful, Max and Charlie!” I said this as I waved my hand, and they just gestured their way out of the DOD store.

“Where would you like to go? Is your friend planning on staying here? She appears to like Mr. Daffe,” Ace observed.

“I think she’ll stay here longer. Let’s go somewhere fun,” I suggested to Ace as we exited the DOD store, holding his hand.

“I won’t be jealous of Mr. Daffe if your friend flirts with him soon,” Ace assured me as I looked at him.

“How come you’re not jealous of Max and Charlie when I talk to them?” I inquired of him.

“I know Max will not betray me. Also, my other close friend,” Ace clarifies as we continue walking.

“I’m sorry you’re with me now, wandering around the mall,” I apologize.

“Aside from the fact that the contract was already signed, I’ll arrange the promotion tomorrow or later,” Ace said, and I nodded.

“Since we’re already in the mall, why don’t we get you the maid outfit you need?” Ace proposed.

“We can, but do you think the mall will sell maid outfits? That could be costly if it is not,” I inquired.

“Let’s try to find a maid outfit, don’t worry, I’ll buy it,” Ace said, and we’re now looking at a store where we could buy a maid outfit.

“I was thinking you’d be the one to set up a meeting with Edward,” Ace said as we walked around the mall looking for the maid outfit.

“Do you mean I’m going to invite Edward to your house?” I inquired, and he nodded.

“How am I supposed to do that if I already tell him I despise him?” I asked.

“Of course, you’re going to act. You’re going to tell him that I’m going to give up and that I want to talk to him in person and settle what happened to my family,” Ace explained, and I nodded. It’s easy to act because Edward would be so happy if Ace gave up that easily, but he isn’t.

“I can do that; after I invite him, he’ll come over at 8:00 p. m., is that okay?” I asked Ace, and he nodded, then stopped walking, which caused me to stop as well, and he pointed out a boutique store.

“I found a maid outfit,” Ace mentioned in the boutique, and when I looked at the store he mentioned, I was surprised to see that the outfit was quite daring and sexy.

“The maid outfits are revealing. Are you sure about this?” I asked him.

“Maybe there’s another style; let’s look around inside so you can try them.” Ace said, and I went inside the Star Costume Boutique Store.
