Dirty Little Secret

Chapter 50

Ace’s PoV

I looked at Unice using her phone and finished preparing a contract for Mr. Daffe to sign. I need to notify him via email that I have completed the contract so we can schedule our next meeting to sign the contract in person.

I stood up from my seat after saving the contract to a USB I had; Unice was busy scrolling through her phone. That’s why I went outside and saw Charlie arranging documents outside my office.

“Charlie, give this to Mr. Devi and tell me what I need to change; he needs to check it first before I print it,” I asked Charlie, who nodded and began to walk while checking the document.

Max arrived, and I believe he had finished touring Mr. Daffe.

“How was the tour? Did he like my company?” When I questioned him, he smirked back at me.

“It was fine, but he kept asking me about you and Unice’s relationship, so I just told him what was true,” Max replied, and I smirked, knowing my feelings were correct.

“If he intends to steal Unice from me, I have no choice but to kill him.” As I entered the office, Max followed me.

“Hi, Max!” When I heard Unice greet Max, I sat in my swivel chair and waited for Charlie to return to my office.

“Are we going to discuss him? Unice is here.” Max paused, and I looked at the time, which was already 4 p. m.

“I don’t want to talk about it because I need to remind myself that he’s dangerous to Unice and might flirt with my girlfriend,” she says. I exclaimed, looking at my laptop to see if there was an email.

“If he knows who you are, I believe he will be scared; do you want us to scare him?” Max asked, and I shook.

“No need; I can handle him myself, but first I need to handle the plan I’m going to do about Edward and his son,” I told him, and Max sat in the chair in front of my desk.

“Did you tell Unice the truth about your plan?” Max was curious.

“Yes, I already told her the plan, and she will assist me in carrying it out,” I explained, and Max nodded.

“By the way, it’s all settled then. Are you going to have dinner today?” Max inquired.

“Yes, could you recommend a good Korean restaurant? Find a near to my workplace. Unice wants to eat there,” I said to Max, who picked up his phone.

“I’ll look for it, and I’ll let you know if I find a Korean restaurant near your company,” Max said as he stood up and exited my office.Exclusive © content by N(ô)ve/l/Drama.Org.

“How are things going over there? Is your phone’s battery still up?” Unice looked at me when I asked her a question.

“I’m fine here, and it’s 50%. I have my charger here,” Unice said as I stood up from my swivel chair. Just as I was about to approach her, someone knocked.

“Come in,” I said as I returned to my swivel chair, and it was Charlie entered my office and handed me the USB.

“Mr. Devi revised the contract; check it if you are satisfied,” Charlie said, and I nodded. I inserted the USB into my laptop and clicked on the document containing the contract to review.

“Thank you; you may go; I will contact you if I require anything,” I said to him, and then I heard him leave my office.

I double-checked the contract, and it was okay; after that, I prepared the printer and some paper and printed the agreement; while it was printing, I approached Unice.

I sat beside her and rested my head on her shoulder, knowing she’d be surprised to see me there.

“Are you exhausted? Would you like me to massage your body or your head?” Unice asked, and I lay on her legs.

“Anything I know you’re good at massaging, having your own company is stressful,” I replied. She put down her phone and began massaging my head.

“I remember when I was in high school, I massaged my mother because she was tired after coming home from work. Because you are currently working, you will experience more pain in any part of your body due to the stress,” Unice warned me. I closed my eyes as she massaged me.

“I wish I had done this to my mother,” I said, and Unice came to a halt, massaging me.

“Do you believe in a parallel universe?” Unice asked me out of the blue.

“What kind of inquiry is that? I’m not sure about that, but I believe so. What exactly is it about?” I asked her, and I opened my eyes because I heard her laugh.

“The other universe is where we have the same body, same face but different kind of person,” Unice spoke up, leaving me speechless.

“Really? Do you mean my parents are still alive in the alternate universe?” I asked her, and she nodded after rising from laying down.

“That’s good if they’re alive; I think I’d be a better man and have a better life than what I’m doing now,” I thought as Unice touched my hand.

“And I’d still be with you even if it’s in another universe,” Unice assured me as I stood up,

“You made me happy. I’m not tired anymore. I’ve got my energy back now,” I told her, and she laughed. I approached the desk, and the contract I had printed was finished as I checked the twenty-page contract.

I sat in my swivel chair and informed Mr. Daffe that the contract was ready. I signed the contract, placed it in the blue envelope folder, and stood up from my seat to approach Unice once more.

“Stop coming here, Ace. You need to work. Concentrate on what you’re doing.” Before I could approach Unice, I heard her say something.

“But I need you,” I pleaded, and she rose from her seat.

“You were correct earlier; I can’t be here because you can’t focus on your work while I’m here. Is it correct that you want to have sex right now?” Unice inquired, and I averted my gaze.

“I’m not thinking about sex right now; I just want to sit beside you,” I told Unice, who laughed and approached me.

“I’m going outside; concentrate on your work.” Unice declared and exited the office, but I had no work to do now.

I sighed and sat back in my swivel chair, concentrating on my work.

Unice’s PoV

I was going to his company’s cafeteria. When I arrived, I noticed they were selling donuts, so I bought some.

“Are you Ms. Venixe?” A lady inquired as to who was selling the donuts.

“Yes, I am; how did you come to know me?” When I asked, she gave me two donuts.

“Mr. Shelton introduced you; if you’re here, we’ll give you a free donut. You don’t have to pay for it,” the lady advised, and I simply nodded as she handed me the two donuts I desired.

“Thank you, I’ll let you know if I need anything else,” I replied. She handed me a complimentary bottle of water, which I accepted.

I looked for a vacant seat, and when I found one, I noticed Ace looking for me, which is why I waved my hand. When he saw me, he immediately approached me and sat down, smiling.

“What exactly are you doing here? I told you to concentrate on your work,” I boasted as I started eating the donut.

“I forgot to tell you that I don’t have any paperwork right now; they’ll call me if I have something to do again,” Ace explained as he picked up the other donut, which was chocolate with sprinkles on top.

“You didn’t pay?” Ace inquired, and I nodded. As I took a bite, I returned Ace’s smile.

“They remember you since I show to my employees your picture. I told them when you visit the cafeteria or other offices, they will welcome you,” Ace told me, and I smiled.

“Thank you, but you don’t have to do that; I want to be a normal person here, not a VIP,” I told Ace,

“I can be a VIP if I work here, but I don’t want special treatment right now,” I added.

“But you can work here if you want,” Ace explained.

“Earlier, I thought I’d be bored at home if I didn’t work, but it’s okay to work here. I accept it, but my position shouldn’t be higher because I don’t know what business management is,” I explained to him, and he laughed.

“As I told you, I will teach you everything if I have time, but the plan I’m going to do is near,” Ace promised, and I was taken aback.

“How come it’s so close? Do you know what Edward is planning?” I asked him, and he didn’t respond, so I became concerned.
