Vanessa vented her anger, fear and insecurity in tears, then felt more relieved and confident that she could handle any case.

Realising that she was still in Dylan’s arms and had even wet his shirt with tears, Vanessa blushed with embarrassment. Then, she ducked her head without daring to look at him and pushed him away forcefully.

And Vanessa sat on the bench waiting outside the emergency room door, even ignoring Dylan completely.
