Deep love: insatiable lover

Chapter 136: Faking it for real

Dylan watched Vanessa’s expression as she spoke and was relieved to see that she only froze for a moment before smiling a smile of gloating amusement.

There were times when he felt unsure and scared. He was worried about Vanessa’s lingering feelings for Orlando, so he couldn’t help but try to find out and was only relieved after he got the answer he wanted.

-Orlando is going to be pissed when he hears about this.

-Are you happy?

-Of course! -Vanessa shrugged her shoulders, “Wasn’t she going to get together with Melina? Well, let them stay in the same family book, hate each other and fight. How wonderful!

Just the thought that the two of them had killed her beloved father made Vanessa’s teeth gnash with hatred.

This was only the beginning, when Dylan’s plan was successfully realised, the Moya family would surely be miserable at that moment. And Melina, who was so determined to join the rich family that she even killed her own father with her own conscience, would surely have a hard time too.

They would receive the punishments they deserved.

They deserved it!

-Well, it’s good to cheer you up,” said Dylan warmly. All content © N/.ôvel/Dr/ama.Org.

In the face of Vanessa, his principles were bound to break down and change his plans. What was even more frightening was that he was increasingly willing to do so.

In the Moya family.

Orlando thought he was cheating on Gerardo with a little trick that no one would discover. This way, he would reduce his resentment and he didn’t have to actually marry Melina.

He was in a good mood and did not even find it unbearable to make nice with Gerardo.

So, during these days, the atmosphere in the Moya family was good.

Orlando was not overly protective of Melina, but at least he didn’t hold a grudge, didn’t yell at her, and occasionally asked about the baby.

At this, Gerardo was satisfied and Melina was even more delighted.

-Orlando, I made this soup, try it.

Melina’s life was in good shape and she was well nourished in the Moya family. Her face was much rosier than before and her pregnancy had improved her skin, making her look lovely.

Melina was delighted with the change in herself and seduced Orlando from time to time.

She brought the soup towards him, bent over to reveal the softness and fullness of her breasts. She also deliberately turned on her side and moved closer to Orlando, leaning gently against his body.

-Be careful,” said Orlando, frowning.

Seizing the opportunity to hold her, he stealthily pushed her away, keeping a distance between them.

He did so entirely because he did not want Melina to touch him, while Melina thought he was worried about her. Then, she was naturally delighted and deliberately showed a shy expression.

How disgusting!

Orlando saw it out of the corner of his eye and snorted disdainfully in the back of his mind.

This idiot wanted to seduce her. When she had more power and could compete with Gerardo, she would throw her out and make him pay for his stupidity.

Orlando thought with resentment in his heart, but naturally he tasted the soup.

And he congratulated Melina, smiling:

-It’s delicious.

-Really?

Melina’s eyes lit up with pleasure as she looked at Orlando.

-Of course.

-Orlando, you can drink more if you want, I made a lot,” said Melina cheerfully.

Gerardo entered with Jaime and smiled with relief at the joyful atmosphere between the two.

He didn’t care if Orlando was acting or what, as long as the relationship was so obvious that no one could question it, he didn’t care. Gerardo knew it wasn’t good to overdo it with the pressure and it was important to give Orlando the space he needed so he didn’t bounce back.

-Hello, grandfather, Jaime,” Melina greeted Gerardo with a sweet smile as she got up and headed for the kitchen. I’ve made a stew. Grandfather, sit down, I’ll bring it to you so you can taste it.

-Careful, how can you do something like that when you’re pregnant?

-Yes, Mr Gerardo.

Jaime turned and headed for the kitchen, while Melina smiled and sat back down.

Orlando put down his bowl.

-Grandfather.

-Yes,” Gerardo replied absently, the sternness in his face loosening as he thought of how Orlando had behaved these days. Orlando, tomorrow you go back to Grupo Moya again and don’t fail me this time.

-Don’t worry, grandfather, I won’t let you down again.

After so many days of patience, it had finally paid off.

Orlando’s heart was overflowing with joy, but his face was light.

The next day, Gerardo stopped restricting Orlando’s freedom and Orlando left the Moya family for the Moya Group.

Although Orlando would have preferred to go and look for Vanessa.

With Dylan’s secret help, Orlando’s clandestine forces in Grupo Moya grew rapidly. Unbeknownst to Gerardo, he had taken over 40 per cent of Grupo Moya in just three months.

Orlando was very pleased with this.

And because he had done so well in the last three months, Gerardo let his guard down and even allowed him to move in with Melina.

By then, Melina was more than seven months pregnant.

These three months were also the calmest for Vanessa, as every day she left the office and went home to be with Mercedes. Both mother and daughter gradually recovered from the pain of the loss of their loved one and Mercedes’ health finally improved.

But as time went on, Vanessa had a bad feeling.

It was as if everything was the calm before the storm, especially lately, she had been so distracted.

Pop.

The coffee cup in her hand fell to the floor in pieces and Vanessa finally reacted.

Unconsciously, she knelt down to reach for the shards of glass and when Dylan approached, he was startled to see her and took it upon himself to grab her wrist first to stop her.

-Don’t move, you’ll cut your hand. Let me do it.

Vanessa stood up obediently, pursed her lips and watched in amazement as Dylan picked up the shards of glass from the floor.

He approached her and put his hands on her cheeks, making her look up at him.

-What’s going on?

-Nothing,” Vanessa shook her head, not wanting to say anything.

Dylan frowned and stared at her for a long moment, seeing that there was nothing he could do if Vanessa didn’t want to talk.

-Well, if you don’t want to say it, don’t say it.

-I should go back,” Vanessa lowered her eyes and said.

Suddenly, she was afraid to look Dylan in the eye. It was impossible to tell, as if she was afraid of what she might see in them, as if she was worried about falling deeper and deeper into them.

-Why do you have to leave if you’ve only just arrived? -Dylan frowned, antagonising him.

Something was particularly wrong with Vanessa and made him reluctant to let her go.

-Be a good girl and tell me what’s going on. Do you have something on your mind?

Vanessa looked at Dylan for a long moment before speaking:

-I always feel that something is going to happen and it’s uncomfortable.

Dylan froze for a moment, thinking about what he had ordered Mateo to do a short while ago… However, he shook his head quickly, pushing the thought out of his mind.
