Dear Ex-wife Marry Me

Chapter 81

Olivia’s voice was booming, with no restraint whatsoever.

lan’s stride faltered momentarily, a hint of contempt flashing in his eyes.

He remembered Maja once claiming that her relationship with her husband was solid.

It seemed like her marriage wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows.

But an unhappy marriage could be ended. If divorce wasn’t even considered, it meant something else

was up.

Was she head over heels for the guy?

Maja looked at Olivia, feeling annoyed. She whipped out her phone, and called Daly.

But no one picked up on the other end, she got jittery in an instant.

It was sweltering outside. Daly was out there alone. If he passed out by the roadside, no one would

have a clue.

“Olivia, come with me to pick up Daly.”

Olivia rolled her eyes, I’m not going unless you give me a hundred grand.”

Maja thought she heard wrong. How thick–skinned could Olivia be to say such a thing.

She got serious, “You want to say that again?”

Olivia looked up, ready to repeat herself, but seeing Maja’s fierce look, she got scared, shivering. She

stuttered, “What… what are you going to do?”

“Just because others put up with you doesn’t mean I have to. You’d better not give me a reason:

A flicker of panic flashed in blivia’s eyes, but she straightened up immediately.

“Dont you dare threaten me here! What weakness could I possibly have? Your family has been cold–

hearted enough to me! I married your cousin, and he just left me high and dry. He said he’d always

take care of me. Pfft, it’s been your whole family owing me all along!”

Maja didn’t bother arguing. She drove off to find Daly.

Maja drove slowly along the same route, calling Daly, but no one picked up.

She was anxious. Half an hour later, she found Daly passed out by the roadside.

Maja was startled, quickly took out a bottle of water and splashed it on his face. Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org exclusive © material.

Daly slowly woke up and saw her. His lips moved twice, he was hot, but didn’t have the energy to talk.

Maja helped him into the car, “I’ll take you to the hospital.”

Daly sat in the passenger’s seat. The world in front of him was spinning.

“Maja, don’t quarrel with Oli. It’s us who did her wrong about your cousin. Your cousin messed up. Your

dad let him work in his company. He even dared to run off with a few hundred grand of client’s money!

Then he gambled it away, that one million plus dollars. Your aunt and I have been paying off the loan

sharks. Ol’s been with us, always being gossiped about by the neighbors…”

Maja gripped the steering wheel, feeling helpless.

It was a fact that her cousin stole the client’s money, nearly costing the Pennyfeather family several key

projects.

Neil was willing to help this relative because of his wife. He didn’t expect his son to be so audacious.”

Later, they completely cut off contact. Only during the occasional meetings. Daly would chat with Neil.

However, Neil really held a grudge against Daly’s family, so when he found out she was meeting Daly,

he looked so upset.

“If Oli said something that upset you, I apologize on her behalf. I’m not getting any younger, I just hope

everyone can live a peaceful life now.”

After hearing all this, Maja’s expression showed neither anger nor joy, but for some reason, there was

a pang in her heart.

It seemed like no matter who it was, they never chose her in the end.

Neil chose the Cristina Perkins family. Daly chose Olivia.

Ever since her mother passed away, she’s always been the one to be sacrificed. Even this

controversial marriage was just a result of a business transaction.

Everything was for the benefit of the Pennyfeather family.
