Dear Ex-wife Marry Me

Chapter 1547

00 hung her head low, mulling over her thoughts before giving a slow shake.

"You saved my family's life, brought us years of peace, I'm here by my own choice."

A hint of restraint shimmered in her eyes. She had her regrets, chiefly that Ian didn't love her.

She had changed her appearance to look like Maja's; a dab of makeup, and no one could tell them

apart. Têxt © NôvelDrama.Org.

She longed to stand in for Maja and stay by his side forever, but she knew confessing her feelings

would be an act of folly.

She was just a stand-in, and the day she had blurted out that misunderstanding to Maja was the

boldest move she had ever made in her life.

Her family owed their lives to Ian; she had to fulfill this mission.

Ian took out a necklace and placed it in her palm.

"There's a poison pill in here."

00 understood why he was giving this to her. The methods at the research facility could make life worse

than death; if it came to that, she could take the poison and find release.

She calmly accepted it, a faint sense of relief in her eyes.

"I understand, sir, I wish you and Ms. Pennyfeather a lifetime of happiness."

Ian was taken aback; he hadn't expected her to say that. He nodded slowly.

00 stood up, fastened the necklace around her neck, and played with it for a moment.

Even though it contained poison, this was still the first time she had received such an adornment.

She didn't look back at Ian, just touched the necklace at her throat and walked away.

Ian was notoriously slow on the uptake when it came to matters of the heart. He had only come to

realize his feelings for Maja after a series of back-and-forths. Before that, he thought he was just not

tired of her company.

So when it came to the feelings of others, he had built a barrier around himself, oblivious to them and

without inner turmoil.

He sent 00 into the research facility first and then reached out to his contacts back home.

However, this matter couldn't be known by the international community just yet, or it would spook the

targets.

The allies who had marked these points for him indicated these were the points of breakthrough.

He immediately contacted Dylan, Abner, and Walter.

Walter was intrigued by the research facility and wanted to come over in person.

Abner was only willing to provide manpower.

Dylan decided to come with Abner.

Ian breathed a sigh of relief. Each person would bring about four others, totaling around twenty, and

they needed to be armed for self-defense.

Dylan was surprised Ian had already found a breakthrough. He took off the cap he wore at his

convenience store job and went to meet Walter.

He even called Beck to ensure he would handle the aftermath in North America and stay out of the

Astronia affair.

"Got it, Dylan, all clear."

Beck hadn't realized that Maja had overheard him on the phone.

Maja guessed that Ian had signaled from his end.

She wanted to go too, but Dylan would surely not want her tagging along.

So she slipped out and boarded a plane to Cania by herself.

By the time she was airborne, Beck realized she wasn't at home and panicked, ordering a search.

Then he found a message from Maja:

[Beck, I’ve gone to find Ian.]

Beck's scalp tingled with fear.

Maja had left even before Dylan and Walter.

Beck immediately relayed this to Dylan.

"You lost track of her?"

Dylan's tone chilled.

Beck felt the weight of his stare and fumbled with his fingers.

"Dylan, I didn't know when she slipped away." Updated at Draмąոоvels.cоm

Dylan massaged his temples and asked Walter.

"When's the earliest we can take off?"

With the flights canceled, they needed to take a private jet, which required clearance.

Dylan took a deep breath, "Contact Ian, tell him Maja's gone over on her own."
