Dear Ex-wife Marry Me

Chapter 1508

Patrick smirked, feeling a surge of triumph as he slowly pushed away the dagger pressing against his

chest.

"If you can't do it, then it looks like you're stuck here with me. Oh, right, Maja's pregnant. Poor thing.

Your kid's gonna be born without a dad, or might not even get the chance to be born, huh?"

The last words left his mouth with a mix of provocation and resignation gleaming in his eyes. Content rights by NôvelDr//ama.Org.

Ian's fist connected with Patrick's face, leaving everyone clueless about Patrick's sudden bout of

madness.

He had made a deal with K, but K was never going to let him off the hook.

Besides, if K decided to launch a blanket attack based on the tracker's location, Patrick would be dead

too.

It was bizarre. Patrick, a man so fond of life, so determined to push Eric out completely and claim the

body for himself, was now acting recklessly.

Ian's punch left Patrick's cheekbone swollen. He winced in pain but just licked his cheek with the tip of

his tongue.

Ian grabbed his collar again.

"Patrick, what the hell do you want?"

Was it Maja?

Unlikely. One can't hide love, and Patrick's feelings for Maja were anything but pure. His gaze towards

her was complicated, tangled.

Patrick didn't answer, his hair a bit too long, shadowing his eyes, casting a gloomy look.

Ian took a deep breath and let him go.

He had to meet up with Dylan and Abner. With these forces as backup, he could leave Forbidden

Island without trouble.

But the tracker on Patrick was a ticking time bomb, with K capable of ordering a indiscriminate bombing

at any moment.

The car had been driving for a few minutes when suddenly, a sea of vehicles appeared ahead,

accompanied by the sound of gunfire.

Ian pulled Maja into his arms and steered the car in another direction.

It was futile. As long as Patrick was with them, their location was compromised.

The sound of bullets came again, the car windows now laced with cracks.

It was then Patrick spoke up.

"Ian, with things like this, why don't you just ditch me? If you leave me behind, you and Maja could

make a quick getaway, couldn't you?"

It wasn't like him to be at a disadvantage.

Ian ignored him, his phone ringing with Quentin on the line, providing a secret route out.

This was a path known only to Quentin, a secret escape route used by the masters of Forbidden

Island.

Never disclosed to outsiders, once on this route, they would be safe from the land battles.

But from where Ian was, that safety was three kilometers away.

With the car now useless due to a flat tire, they had to abandon it and dodge the surrounding bullets on

foot.

Ian carried Maja, not hesitating to move forward.

But after a few meters, he realized all the other bodyguards had followed, except for Patrick.

Patrick stood still, his eyes lost.

Ian's temper flared without reason.

"What do you want?"

What did he want to finally comply, to properly care for Eric's body?

Patrick laughed, a desolate sound, at that moment.

A bad feeling crossed Ian's mind as he heard Patrick ask.

"Who am I, Ian? Tell me, who am I?"

"This is not the time to lose it."

But Patrick turned around, clearly not intending to follow.

"Patrick!"

Ian, holding Maja, called out sharply, wanting to persuade him.

Patrick just scoffed, "Let's not meet again. Seeing you two is nothing but an eyesore to me."
