Chapter 89
Chapter 89
As memories of Gisele’s passionate night with Dorian flooded Sierra’s mind, she ignited with fury, battling an urge to retaliate against Gisele.
“Don, perhaps we should forget about it. Pressuring her to join us will make us appear unreasonable,” Sierra’s coquettish voice chimed in.
Dorian responded with a dismissive glance.
With a smile, Gisele quickly interjected, “It’s no trouble at all. I’m delighted to have dinner with both of you, Ms. McMillan and Mr. Jefferson.”
What was there to fear? It was just a meal, after all.
“I’ll accompany Gisele then,” Aspen promptly offered, displaying his gentlemanly manners.
Sierra and Dorian glanced at Aspen simultaneously, sharing a moment of confusion at his protective demeanor toward Gisele.
Gisele smiled gratefully at Aspen, but to Dorian, her smile felt like a provocation–a subtle message conveying how well–matched she and Aspen were.
“Let’s go shopping first,” Sierra suggested. Observing Dorian’s unease, she promptly led him into the mall.
expressed Gisele and Aspen trailed behind them. Observing Gisele’s unsteady steps, Aspen his concern, “Gisele, if you’re having trouble walking, feel free to lean on me. It’s perfectly
fine.”
Earlier, Dorian had observed Gisele grasping onto Aspen’s arm. Yet, the reality was that Gisele had almost stumbled, leading Aspen to assist her in regaining her balance.
“I’m fine,” Gisele reassured Aspen, letting go of his arm.
She realized she couldn’t continue clinging to Aspen. If someone with malicious intent had captured a photo of that moment, she wouldn’t know how to justify it.
Dorian and Sierra walked ahead. Nonetheless, Dorian found himself distracted, trying to catch snippets of Gisele and Aspen’s conversation happening behind them.
However, their voices remained largely muffled, carrying traces of joy in their tone but the specific words evading Dorian’s ears.
Dorian’s expression darkened even further.
Sierra couldn’t help but notice Dorian’s change in demeanor. Even as she browsed through the dresses, he appeared lost in thought. NôvelDrama.Org owns © this.
Sierra felt a twinge of regret about inviting Gisele along. If she hadn’t, perhaps Dorian would. have paid more attention to her. After all, Dorian was hers from the start!
“These are all so lovely. I’m torn between them. Gisele, could you help me decide?” Sierra held up a dress, appearing conflicted.
As Gisele was about to speak, Dorian instructed the store attendant, saying, “Could you please pack up all of these dresses?”
“Don, isn’t this a bit excessive?” Sierra gazed at him playfully, her eyes twinkling.
The boutique they were in specialized in tailored clothing, and while they might not have a hundred dresses, they probably had between thirty to fifty dresses showcased.
Buying all of them would result in a significant expense, possibly amounting to hundreds or even thousands in value!
Dorian glanced at Sierra, who was marveling at the dresses, and reassured her in a gentle tone, “It’s not a problem.”
Having said that, he turned back to the store attendant and requested, “Along with these dresses, could you also arrange to send the new styles from each quarter for Sierra to consider?‘
Dorian’s eyes once again found Gisele. He was determined to show her everything she could never have in her lifetime unless she pleaded for it!
“Sure thing!” the store attendant replied eagerly.
After finalizing the dress selections, they proceeded to a top–rated restaurant for a private dining experience.
As they settled in and placed their orders, Gisele’s phone rang. Upon seeing the caller ID, her features contorted in confusion.
“Why aren’t you answering your phone, Gisele? Who’s calling?” Sierra inquired, snuggling closer to Dorian, her head tilted affectionately as she smiled.
Gisele glanced at Dorian with a troubled expression, hesitating before passing him her phone.
Upon looking at the screen, Dorian and Sierra’s expressions also shifted.
