FOUR DAYS LATER
I sat down tiredly and watched as the doctor did another test on Felix per his and Damian’s request. For the past four days, this had been their routine.
They have been requesting the doctor for countless tests to be undergone on Felix before they would discharge him.
According to them, they didn’t want any complications later. The doctor was obviously tired of their disturbance because of his sluggish movements and the very obvious dark circles underneath his eyes.
I bet he hasn’t been having enough sleep because of the way they have been disturbing him but couldn’t complain because Damian would have his tongue, literally.
I’m already exhausted too. for almost two weeks, I have been sleeping on this hard couch. My back and butt hurt a lot.
I haven’t even been able to sleep on most occasions. I’m pretty sure dark circles would have appeared on my eye lids too.
I just wish I could go back to the mansion right now, take a warm bath in the tub and have a very deep sleep.
When would he seriously get discharged???Exclusive content from NôvelDrama.Org.
“How is he now?” Damian asked for the umpteenth time.
“He is doing really fine for someone who was involved in a fatal accident.” The doctor answered.
“Are you really sure. Don’t you need to run another test just to be sure??” Felix asked as he turned to face the doctor.
“I have done series of test on you already. There is nothing wrong with you. You can get discharged now.” The doctor said, almost pleading.
Is he that desperate to have them leave. I would have laughed out loud if I wasn’t feeling desperate too.
“What if some thing goes wrong when I am discharged?? What if I slip into a coma again??” Felix asked.
The doctor didn’t know how to convince him again so he gave up.
“I’ll run more tests.” He said tiredly and was about to leave when I spoke out.
“The doctor is sure there is nothing wrong so what is the need of more tests??” I asked.
“I need more tests so that I can be sure I wouldn’t slip into a coma again.” He answered.
“If anything happens by the time you get discharged, you can easily call the doctor for a checkup instead of running different tests when the answer will still be the same.” I said.
“She is right. If anything goes wrong, I’m just a phone call away though I doubt it will ever happen.” The doctor said.
Felix wanted to argue but I beat him to it.
“You’ll still get the treatment you are getting here at home, but in a more comfortable bed. Think about it.” I said and waited hopefully for his response.
After pretending to think for a while, he complied with my idea. I couldn’t be more happy. I’m finally leaving this hospital that smells like drugs.
“Great choice. Don’t forget to give me a call if anything happens.” The doctor said as he placed a piece of paper containing his phone number on the table before leaving happily.
“I’ll go sign your discharge papers then.” Damian said.
My legs were feeling really numb, mainly because I have been seating on that chair for a while now. I needed to stretch them.
“I’ll go with you.” I said as I followed Damian out, leaving only Felix in the room.
There were two guards manning the door so he wasn’t really alone.
“Don’t let anyone in without my consent.” Damian said to them.
“Yes boss.” They answered.
Damian turned on his heels and left for the lobby while I followed closely behind him. We were walking quietly until my eyes caught with that familiar blue eyes.
He was putting on a doctor’s uniform and staring intently at me like he was in Paris. I was able to recognize him clearly because of the mole on his left chin.
He smiled mischievously at me before he disappeared into the crowd of patients.
A shiver went through my spine and I stood rooted at my spot. What is he doing here now?? Damian finally noticed I wasn’t following him so he walked back to where I was.
“What’s wrong princess?” He asked as he stared at me in concern.
“He is here.” I said shakily.
“Who is??” Damian asked.
“Mark.”

We quickly went back to Felix’s room after signing the discharge papers. Felix had already changed his hospital gown to a casual long shirt sleeve and a pair of trousers. Thankfully, there was nothing wrong with him.
“We need to leave now.” Damian uttered the moment he entered the room.
“What’s up with the mood? Did you guys fight?” Felix asked but Damian ignored him as he proceeded to make a call.
“What’s wrong?” He proceeded to ask me.
“I saw him at the hospital.” I answered.
“Mark??” Felix asked in shock.
“Yes.” I answered.
“How was he able to find out I was admitted in this hospital. He seriously is everywhere.” Felix said.
“We don’t have time for chit chats. We need to leave now.” Damian said when he was done with the call he was making.
Minutes later, Grey walked in.
“The car is waiting for you outside boss.” Grey said.
“Okay. Let’s go.” Damian said and held my hands before we left the hospital.
*****************************
“Where are we?” I asked as looked around the unknown mansion in front of me. “Another house of mine. More like a safe house.” Damian answered.
“Why are we here??” I asked again.
“Since Mark already knows the route to the other one, it wouldn’t be wise to go there.” Felix answered.
He had followed us to this place.
“We will just stay here till the problem at hand is no more.” Damian said.
“Okay.” I agreed.
Anywhere is better than staying in that hospital.
We walked in. I was about to go into any room I could find when I noticed something, rather someone in the living room.
It was a woman and she had her back turned towards us.
“Who’s that?” I asked and everyone’s attention turned towards her.
She finally noticed our presence and turned to face us. My jaw dropped when I saw her. She was by far the most beautiful woman I have ever set my eyes upon.
She smiled when she saw us.
“Damian.” She called as she batted her long lashes seductively.
I could feel Damian’s reaction was that of shock. Who is she and how does she know him, or this place.
“Ana.” Damian finally uttered.
She is Ana?????
