Epilogue 1
Helios
POV
**3 years after the end **
"We have to hurry. If he gets away, I don't know when we'll find him again." Theo called out.
"I'm trying! He's wily!" I huffed as I jumped in front of him and dived to catch him but he dove between my legs. We had tracked him to a forest in Chile where he had lived in his wolf form for centuries. He was small and very fast.
"This would have been a lot easier with Gonzalo and Kassie" I whined as I got up again and looked for him.
"Yeah well, she's about to pop a baby. That might have caused them to be a little distracted." Theo yelled back.
"And we're missing it! So, the faster we catch him and talk to him, the faster we can go home!" Sebastian yelled.
'Get him cornered by the big boulder we passed a few clicks back' Sebastian opened a link between the three of us. 'I'll go invis and grab him.'
It took us about 15 minutes but we finally managed to corner him and Sebastian grabbed onto him as he tried to bite and claw at him.
"Brother, please, we just want to talk. We need your help. I am Huitzilopochtli." I spoke in Spanish. Theo jumped on top of him, trying to hold him still as he growled and tried to fight himself free with renewed fervor. I cursed myself for a moment because I can't pretend to be someone else and my name still carries the threat of death to most of my siblings. Not enough time had passed for the word to spread that I was no longer hunting them to kill them.
"I am not going to hurt you. Please, believe me. I have made peace with our sister and I know the truth behind mother's death. Tezcatlipoca is to blame and he's not done with us yet. We have been warned that in less than 50 years, he will come for us all." I told him quickly. I needed to get him calm before he got hurt or hurt one of us.
Slowly, as I kept talking to him, he stopped struggling. When I was sure he was willing to listen, I nodded to Sebastian and Theo and they let go of him. Slowly...very slowly...he transformed into his human form. He looked unsteady being on two feet and he ended up sitting on the ground.
"I...dream him. Wuua - When h-he- coming?" He stuttered as if he hadn't used words in a long time.
"47 years, give or take according to the seer," I answered as Theo handed him an extra pair of pants. He shook his head at him, "I come. But...Follow." He said be fore he shifted back to his wolf. We followed him on foot to a small cave about 25 minutes away. I immediately heard the cries of a baby and looked over at my friends. What the hell?
Helios POV **3 years after the end **
"We have to hurry. If he gets away, I don't know when we'll find him again." Theo called out.
My brother ran in, and the baby boy around a year or so instantly quieted down and hugged the wolf. After a moment, he stepped back and shifted back to human. "I come. You help." He said.
"Is this your child? Where is the mother?" I asked.
"She died. Poachers." He said sadly.
"What can I call you?" I asked him.
"Manuel. Beto." He said, pointing to himself and then to the baby.
"OK. We will get you back to my home. For more free novels, visit We can protect both of you." Manuel nodded at my words and shifted back. He laid on his stomach by the little boy who seemed to understand what he wanted and he climbed onto his back.
We walked out of the cave and towards the rental. We drove back to the plane in silence. This text is © NôvelDrama/.Org.
'Text the others about the new additions. I think Kassie kept a lot of the clothes from Miguel in case they had another boy. I'm sure we can have everything they need set up by the time we get home.' I linked Theo, who was already furiously writing on his tablet. 'On it. Hopefully, Nat checks over the kid and he's alright.' Theo added, and I couldn't help but agree. He looked underweight to me.
We arrived back home. Nat was waiting for us at the entrance with Xochil at her side. I knelt down as she ran to me screaming for me. "Te portaste bien? (Were you good?)" I asked her. She nodded her innocent eyes at me that I didn't buy. "Y mami(And mom)?" She shook her head, making me laugh. I kissed Nat as she came up to us. I turned to where Manuel was helping his kid out of the SUV. "Can you check them before we let them sleep?" I asked her. Manuel had a few wounds that weren't healing well and Beto looked jaundiced in the light of the plane. Her features softened and she nodded. She approached and spoke to them like she would a spooked animal.
Manuel growled softly at first but eventually let her look at little Beto. After she had healed both of them, we set them up in a suite together. I had not been able to talk to him much, but I knew that my brother would have a long road ahead of him. "Where are Gonzalo and Kassie?" I asked as I lay in bed a couple of hours later, covered in a sheen of sweat after getting reacquainted. Three days was a long time to be apart.
"Hospital," Nat snuggled back into me.
"Is it time? Are they having the baby?" I said, standing.
"Adrien is going to link me when it's time. There was no sense in all of us being in the waiting room. They only left about an hour before you showed up, amor." She explained and I let her pull me back into bed.
We talked a bit about the trip and the pack and after another hour, Adrien mind linked Nat. We met the others at the door and headed off to the hospital. After an intense 30 minutes, we heard the newest member of the family cry.
After a while, the nurse said we could go inside. Gonzalo was holding a pink little bundle in his arms next to a happy but tired Kassie. Miguel ran up and he let him see her first. "Hey buddy, this is your sister. Isn't she pretty? Everyone. Meet Kaia Zoraya Guerrero. She has her mommy's eyes," he said proudly.
I finally got my turn at the baby and was struck by the little violet eyes looking up at me. "Look Xochil, you have another little cousin," I told my little girl as she pulled on my pant leg to see. I passed Kaia back to Gonzalo with my congratulations before we took our leave. "You looked pretty sexy in dad mode with Xochil and Kaia," Nat said absentmindedly later that night after we'd put Xochil to bed.
"Oh?" I said as I plugged in my phone. "Tell me more about my sexiness," I said before puffing my chest out dramatically and taking a few steps around the room like a peacock.
"Well, I was thinking...maybe Kaia will also need a little friend to play with who's her age in the packhouse."
My eyes widened at her words. "You want another child?"
"Well, if you want..." she said shyly.
"Yes!" I said, jumping over the bed to her side. "I want two more at least!"
"I'm game. 3 sounds...right." She smiled.
"When," I said as I slipped my hand under her blouse to play with her n*****s.
"Let's give the new parents a couple of months before we start trying for ours? That way Kassie can take o-Why are you pouting?" She asked as she tried her best not to moan under my hand.
"Wouldn't it be better if they were closer in age, like Xochil and Miguel?" I asked.
She narrowed her eyes at me and I tried to put on my best innocent face. "Are you trying to say you want us to try starting now?"
I nodded enthusiastically while Ezequiel did the same in the back of my head. "OK, I guess Theo can always help out too. Why no-Hey!" She squealed as I ripped the shirt down the middle and threw her onto the bed. "You are dangerous my sun god." She laughed. I growled approvingly. "Yes, tell me more about how dangerous your manly mate is."
