Chapter 19

Rhoda is seen sitting on the bed inside the hotel room, looking so nervous. She’s been trying to practice everything Liam had told her, she didn’t want him to feel disappointed and aside from that, she needed the money he was going to pay her.

She began to wonder why Liam would tell her to act like she was raped years ago by his boss and she began to wonder who the boss is.

She sighed softly as she straightened her dress, trying to look decent and pitiful. Just then the door burst open and Liam walked in with Brandon trailing behind him.

Immediately Brandon’s eyes fell on Rhoda, he felt so much pity for her. He felt so guilty because of the crime he committed years ago.

Memories of how he had forced himself on her came rushing into his head like flash. He’s never felt this guilty in his entire life. I must have caused a lot of damage in this lady’s life, I’m willing to compensate her with whatever she wants, he thought as he stared at Rhoda.

Meanwhile, Rhoda on the other hand was lost staring at Brandon. She’s never seen someone as handsome and as hot as him. All her life she thought Jeff was the most handsome man she’s ever seen but seeing this man standing in front of her, Jeff was just learning.

“What is your name?” Brandon asked, breaking the silence between them.

“Rhoda Cortez, sir,” Rhoda said as she bent her head slightly, not wanting to look Brandon in the eyes. Liam had told her not to look him straight in the eyes.

“First of all, I would love to apologize for that night, I didn’t intend to force myself on you, I was high on drugs…” Brandon paused as his eyes drifted to Liam who quickly bent his head with guilt.

“I know I must have caused a lot of damage in your life after that incident. I’m so sorry and right now I’m willing to pay anything just to make up for that night, tell me what you want” Brandon said, and suddenly Rhoda burst into tears.

“That night was so horrible. There’s nothing that can make up for it. It ruined my life” Rhoda said, tears slipping down her chubby cheeks.

Liam stared at her and scoffed inwardly, he knew Rhoda was the rightful one for this job and he trusted she would never disappoint him.

“I’m so sorry,” Brandon said as he moved towards her and sat beside her, he engaged her in a brief hug. Rhoda sniffed his perfume and hummed to herself.

“He smells nice,” she thought as she imagined him removing her clothes and coming in between her legs.

“You don’t have to cry anymore, I’ll do anything to compensate you, all you have to do is ask,” Brandon said and Rhoda sniffed and nodded.

“I have nothing to ask, please just stay with me. Make me your wife” Rhoda said as she hugged him tightly, this time making Brandon feel so uncomfortable.

“I’ll think about it,” Brandon said

Liam who then noticed The look on Brandon’s face moved towards them and slightly pulled Rhoda away from Brandon.

“Thank you,” Brandon muttered slightly. Liam knows how much Brandon hates to be touched by women. He had only gotten close to Rhoda to console her because of the guilt he felt.

Brandon stood up and straightened his suit. He brought out his handkerchief from his pocket and gave it to Rhoda to wipe her tears.

“If you need anything, just let me know,” Brandon said and Rhoda nodded in response . He walked out of the hotel room with Liam beside him.

“Make sure Rhoda moves to the new mansion I got for her and you can give her one of my cards. Get her a car too and a driver, make sure she gets anything she wants” Brandon said as they moved towards his car outside the hotel.

“Isn’t that too much?” Liam said knowing deep down Rhoda wasn’t the woman Brandon had raped years ago.

“No, it’s not enough for the pain we’ve caused her in the past. I need to make sure she’s okay, can’t you see she’s emotionally down? I ruined her life, Liam ” Brandon said and Liam swallowed hard and nodded in response.

“What about Mrs. Mackenzie?” Liam asked wondering if he was going to call off their marriage.

“She would be signing the necessary documents today and would move into my mansion by tomorrow. My lawyers are on their way to her house” Brandon said in response

“Are you sure you want to marry her?” Liam asked and Brandon turned to him.

“It’s a contract marriage, I just need to find my mom, after that I’m divorcing her,” Brandon said and Liam nodded in response.

He walked away from Liam and entered his car. He took a deep breath, he was glad he had finally found the woman from years ago, now he would be free from the guilt that has been eating him up.

He thought as he sighed. But on second thought, he felt Rhoda was different from the woman from that night. The scent of that woman was alluring that night that he couldn’t resist, the way she cried and everything.

Rhoda sounded so different, her scent was somehow that it almost made him wanna puke and he felt weird just getting close to her. He quickly shook off the thought. That was years ago, a lot of things must have changed about her.

He thought as he ignited his engine and zoomed off.

Meanwhile, The octuplets are seen climbing down the stairs with Hannah trailing behind them. Hannah had woken up so early and made sure the kids had breakfast and got ready for school and now, they were about to leave the house.

“Oh, I forgot my phone in the bedroom, I’ll go get it. You guys should wait for me in the car” Hannah said as she rushed back to her room to get her phone.

The kids moved towards the door and opened it and to their surprise, they saw two men in suits standing by the door, they were about to knock.

The kids stared at the strange men with suspicious looks on their faces.

“Who are you? And why are you standing in front of our door?” Jayden asked with full confidence, with lots of authority in his voice.

The two men in suits stared At each other with confused looks on their faces.
