Chasing My Pregnant Wife

Chapter 698

"We knew you were kidnapped, and were very worried. Theo said you had been rescued and were safe, but he didn't want to see you. When we asked him why, he wouldn't say."

Rosalie wiped the tears from her face. "Mom, please, tell me where he is now. I need to see him before my surgery. I have something to tell him. Please, I'm begging you. I won't be able to relax for the surgery otherwise."

Sydney was silent. After a long pause, she said. "What if Theodore still doesn't want to see you?"

"I don't know. I just have to find him now. Please, Mom, for the sake of the baby."

Just then, a voice came from outside the door. "Rose, where are you?"

Rosalie was startled. Sebastian had woken up.

She quickly told Sydney, "Mom, text me the address. I'll go find him myself."

"Do you want me to come pick you up?" Sydney asked.

"No, I'll go on my own. Just send me the address."

"Alright."

After ending the call, Rosalie opened the door and stepped out.

Sebastian was anxiously looking for her in the corridor. Hearing the noise, he turned and saw Rosalie. He immediately rushed over and embraced her.

"Where did you go? I woke up and found you gone. You scared me to death."

"I just went out for some fresh air."

"Fresh air?" Sebastian glanced at the empty room. "Why did you go to an empty ward for fresh air? Don't you want to stay in the same room with me?"

"It's not that. I just...”

Rosalie didn't know how to explain. Seeing her phone in her hand, Sebastian immediately understood. "Were you on the phone?"

Rosalie nodded. "Yes, I was looking for Theo."

The mention of Theodore's name made Sebastian's expression change slightly. However, he wasn't that averse to Theodore anymore and seemed much calmer than before. "Did you find him?" Original from NôvelDrama.Org.

As soon as Sebastian finished speaking, Rosalie's phone screen lit up with a new message.

She opened the message, which contained the address of the hospital where Theodore was, including the floor and room number.

"What's this?" Sebastian asked.

Rosalie replied, "I found Theodore. He's not dead, and is in the hospital right now. I'm going to see him tomorrow."

Hearing that Theodore was still alive

made Sebastian uneasy. He recalled the day he had taken Theodore's phone and prevented him from calling for help.

Now that Theodore was still alive, what if this came to light? What if Rosalie found out?

"Going to see him tomorrow?"

Sebastian frowned slightly. "You're

having surgery the day after

tomorrow. If you want to visit him,

can't you wait until after you

surgery and you've recovered?"

"No, I need to see him tomorrow. I have to meet him no matter what." Rosalie was firm.

Seeing her resolve, Sebastian didn't dare to argue further. He was worried that if he tried to stop her, he would seem suspicious.

Since Theodore was still alive, he might eventually reveal the truth.

However, without evidence, he could just deny it. Who could prove anything if he didn't admit it?

Hence, he needed to appear magnanimous. He had to allow Rosalie to meet Theodore. This way, he could appear completely unconcerned.
