Chapter 642
When Rosalie arrived at Rebecca's place, dinner was being prepared in the kitchen.
In the living room, Rebecca held Rosalie's hand and said, "Rose, you seem to have gained some weight. It looks like you've been eating well recently."
Rosalie smiled and replied, "Grandma, I have indeed put on some weight. There's something I want to tell you."
"What is it?"
"Can you promise me something first? If I tell you, please don't be angry. I'm most afraid of making you angry."
"Go ahead. How could I be angry with you?"
Rosalie hesitated for a moment, feeling uneasy. After a long pause, she finally told Rebecca about her pregnancy and her marriage to Sebastian. Rebecca fell silent after hearing this. She released Rosalie's hand, and her expression became somewhat serious.
"I'm sorry, Grandma. It's my fault. I should have told you earlier, but I had just gotten divorced and was afraid you might force Theo to remarry me because of my pregnancy. That's why I didn't tell you. I'm sorry."
Rebecca turned to look at Rosalie, and gently touched her belly. She lamented, "I'm so foolish. I didn't know about this at all. If I had known earlier, perhaps..."
She wondered if knowing earlier would have made any difference.
"Grandma, it's all my fault. Please don't be angry. If you're unhappy, just scold me."
Rebecca sighed. "At my age, I've seen a lot. I won't be angry with you. I'm just a bit sad to find out so late. You must have suffered a lot."
"It hasn't been too much trouble. Don't worry, Grandma. I'll take good care of myself."
Rebecca continued, "So what you're saying is, you're going to Melrine with Sebastian tomorrow for his treatment?"
Rosalie nodded. "Yes, the treatment method is very good. I want him to try it. Once Sebastian recovers his memory, I can divorce him."
"And after the divorce? What about Theo..."
"Grandma," Rosalie interrupted. "Theo and I can never be together anymore. He's marrying Cynthia tomorrow."Property © of NôvelDrama.Org.
Rebecca sighed. "I've heard about it. Rose, don't you want to stop them? If you're willing, I can intervene."
"There's no need," Rosalie said. "Don't stop them. Let things take their course. Whether he marries Cynthia or not, I can't be with him anymore."
"What about the child?"
"I'll take good care of the child, Grandma."
"When do you plan to tell Theo?"
"I plan to tell him after returning from Melrine. I don't want to tell him for now. I'm afraid he might bother me once he knows I'm pregnant."
Rebecca said helplessly, "Who would have thought your relationship with Theo would turn out like this? That fool! He lost you. Where else can he find someone as good as you?"
"Grandma, no matter what, I'm still your granddaughter. After the child is born, you will be his or her great-grandmother."
Rebecca replied, "Given how things

have turned out, there are indeed many regrets. Although I'm a bit angry with you for not telling me soonen I'm relieved seeing you safe and Sound. Your happiness is what matters most. I'll be fine.
"I was wrong before, making you marry Theodore and delaying you. I won't force you anymore. If you want to raise the child in the Spencer family, that's fine. If you don't want to, I won't insist either. Just bring the child to see me occasionally."
"Don't worry. My baby is related to the Spencers by blood, and this tie can never be cut off."
"That's good. I hope you'll come back from Melrine soon. You silly child, helping a friend by marrying him. What if he tricked you?"
"Grandma, I'll bring Seb to have a meal with you someday. You'll see he won't harm me."
"If you trust him, then I believe he won't treat you badly. Just follow your heart."
"I will. By the way, Grandma, please don't tell Theo about my pregnancy for now."
Rebecca nodded. "If you don't want me to say anything, then I won't. You can tell him yourself when you come back."
Rosalie replied, "Okay, thank you."
Once dinner was ready, Rosalie accompanied Rebecca to the dining room. They enjoyed dinner together, chatting and even discussing names for the baby.
But after thinking about it, none of the names seemed right, so none were chosen.
Before long, dinner was over.
Rosalie chatted with Rebecca fora while longer, then prepared to leave. If she left too late, Rebecca would be worried. Leaving before it got too dark was safer.
