"I should go join Jessica to see how it's going,” Hailey said, getting ready to stand up from Cole's lap. "I appreciate your all's effort but I don’t think it's gonna be that easy.” Hailey frowned, "What do you mean?"

"Vanessa made a very serious accusation against me. Something the public is very curious about. I know they are going to have to carry out some serious investigations. It would have been so much easier if she was here to retract her statement."

"You shouldn't get worried about those thoughts. You are not the one with issues. She is. She is going miles to destroy us but the truth is that she secretly admires you and wishes she's got all that you have."

"I don't know how long itis going to take but I will make sure she ends up where she deserves.”

Just right before Hailey stood up from Cole's lap, he cupped her face in his hands, connecting his lips with hers for a soft passionate kiss. "I love you.” He whispered when he pulled away.

She adjusted her hair with her fingers the moment she was out of the room, then approached Moore and Jessica who were standing at a far end corner.

"What's going on?"

"It's tougher than we seem," Jessica answered.

"Cale is not going to be released?" The disappointment didn't go unnoticed in Hailey's voice and eyes.

"They've got strong evidence. A video of Cole choking Vanessa.”

"I can talk to them. I will make them know Cole isn’t guilty. Vanessa caused all of it. She provoked him."

"Apparently, Vanessa is the only one that can solve this, by retracting her statement.”

Hailey shook her head. "There is no way Cole or anyone else is going to seek her forgiveness. Cole did nothing wrong."

"Yes. Plus I know, Vanessa. She's got a motive behind everything. Even though many of us go to seek her forgiveness, She would use it against us. probably demand that Cole gets married to her on the spot, and try to dismiss you from the picture.”

"What else can we do? Should I go ahead and do a public interview? Anything to make awareness about Vanessa's lies?"

"It's sad but I want us all to stay strong for Cole. I know he may seem chilled but trust me when I say it breaks his heart to see himself here. He is mostly disappointed that he can't make it up to his boys." Jessica said

"Hi babe.” Debbie greeted Hailey the moment she came face to face with her after opening the door.
