Staring at the most handsome man, sitting in the car right in front of her, makes her heart flustered. As much as she wants to control her emotions, and not let it get the best of her, she just couldn’t bring herself to doing it.

She gulped down the lump in her throat, and slowly, she took her hands to her face, and cupped her cheeks, while staring at him.

Seconds ticked into minute, before he finally tilted his head to look at her for the first time, and like an electric shock, she felt sparks all over her body, as she behold the most handsome creature, staring at her. She stared deeply into his grey eyes, getting lost in their beauty, his long eyelashes, are more beautiful than that of most women, his thick eyebrows, are what anyone would refer to as perfection, his straight pointed nose, seem to be the most prettiest she ever seen, and for some crazy reasons, she suddenly felt the urge to poke it, but she did best to compose herself.

“What do you want?”Came his cold and angry voice, as he glared daggers at her from the car, bringing her out of her deep trance.

She gulped down the lump in her throat, as she tried talking, but found her ever sharped tongue, tied down to her mouth.

Meanwhile, he couldn’t bring himself to comprehending the whole thing, he just couldn’t seem to know what she wants, he was just too angry, to even ask her anymore question, as he held the car door, and pushed it opened, before stepping out of it. He glared at her one more time, before turning around, and in the next seconds, he walked over to the car, which he just ran into, looking all angry. Seeing the scratch on his car, is what he can’t handle, he hates it when people get on his nerves, and now someone just did.

Standing beside the car, he made to knock on the window, when her voice came on, bringing him to a stop.

“That’s my car.”Came her voice, as she finally snapped out of her deep trance….

Karen POV

Driving into the compound of the big company, I parked at the garage, and sighed, before stepping out of the car. Gosh! I’m so late. I can’t believe Dylan made me fixed his car, but still, I’m happy I saw him, today is the best day of my life.Copyright by Nôv/elDrama.Org.

Dylan have been my crush, from the first day I saw him on the TV, while doing an interview with some set of businessmen, and since then, I’ve found myself, thinking of him, and with each day that passed, I always find myself, looking forward to the day I’ll finally see him.

Stepping out of my car, I sighed softly, before heading to the entrance door, and in the next seconds, I made my way in, as I was welcomed with all the staffs, assembled at the lobby. Ok, what the heck is going on here now?

“Wait! Don’t tell me the Ceo wants to sack people? What happened now?”I wondered, and shrugged, before walking over to where they’re all standing.

“What’s going on?”I asked Mavis, one of my colleagues, and the closest to me in the company.

“Finally you’re here! What kept you so long, huh?”She rolled her eyes at me, before turning her face away.

“Something came up on my way here Mavis, so can you answer my question, and stop questioning me now, huh?”I whispered angrily.

“Sir Ryan has an announcement to make, he’ll be here shortly.”She replied, and I mouthed an ‘oh’.

Minutes later, the sound of footsteps filled the entire lobby, as his scent filled every inch of the atmosphere. Slowly, the footsteps drew closer, and suddenly died down.

I raised my head slowly, and was met with his blue eyes, staring at me, as I felt my heart skipped like a million times.

“Good morning everyone, I’ll just go straight to the point. The system of business have changed here. There’s a slight change in everything, which will be of great effect to the company, so as a result of this, I want all the ongoing contracts, to be put on hold for now. I want you all to be rest assured, as this will only be for a short period of time, and everything will be fine. In the meantime, I’ll be busy taking care of the company, if you need to ask any question, meet the manager, he’ll put you through it.”He said in his usual cold voice, while looking from one staff to the other. His eyes finally landed on me, and I quickly avert my gaze.

“Ok sir.”They chorused.

“Meet me in the office Karen.”He said, after a long silence, before he finally turned and walked away.

Taking a glance at Mavis, I gulped down the lump in my throat, before finally dragging my feet with me, and in the next seconds, I made my way to his office, having a nervous feeling.

Stopping in front of his office, I placed a knock on the door, and waited patiently for him to usher me in, and after a few minutes, his voice finally sounded from inside, giving me a go ahead.

Taking a deep breath, I held the doorknob, and twisted it, before pushing the door opened, after which I walked inside.

“Why did you come late to work Karen?”He asked calmly, his gaze strictly fixated on the screen of the desktop, placed on the desk in front of him, as his fingers moved speedily on the keyboards.

I gulped down nothing, as I glanced at him, and took my gaze away again, while fondling with my fingers.

“I just asked a question Karen, don’t act dumb here!”He yelled angrily, as he slammed his hands on his desk, looking all angry. Gosh! I know I’m in for some troubles now.

“I’m sorry sir.”I said in a low voice, while staring down at my shoes, with my heart thumping heavily against my chest, as I prayed silently that he stops yelling at me, I hate it when people does that, I’m being cool with him, because he’s my boss, but I don’t know how long I’ll be able to hold it in.

“You think we’re playing here, huh? If you can’t handle this job anymore, why not resign, huh?”He fired again, glaring hard at me, looking so angry. Wait! Isn’t he tired of yelling? Who the heck does he think he is, to yell at me like that, huh?

“I just said I’m sorry.”I shrugged rudely, as I turned my gaze away, and rolled my eyes inwardly. I hate this whole nonsense, and if he dares to yell at me again, I won’t take it lightly with him, I only came late to work, and didn’t kill anyone, so what’s the big deal there? And besides, he does come late to work himself.

He glared at me unbelievably, and shook his head angrily, before taking his attention to whatever he was doing in his desktop, leaving me standing.

“I’m having an appointment with the Ceo of DwellSmith empire in an hour, and I want you to go there on my behalf, I have other things to attend to.”He said sarcastically, not sparing me a glance, and my eyes widened in shock. Wait! Isn’t that Dylan’s company?…
