Chapter 1174
"Both exhibits were his doing?" Yvonne could not believe it.
Nash nodded, lowering his voice further. "At this point, it looks like Winona wasn't involved. If you make a fuss about it now, it could backfire on you. Just hold off for now, and we'll figure out a new plan."
Nina walked over, gently taking Yvonne's hand to comfort her. "We know you're not that kind of person. Let people think whatever they want. It doesn't change the truth."
Yvonne understood, but the frustration still burned inside her.
Just then, Winona let out a cold laugh and sneered, "Mrs. York, let me give you some advice. Since you're pregnant, you should stay away from women like her. When something bad happens, you won't know who to blame."
Nina responded with an icy smile. "Don't worry about me. Maybe you should focus on helping Mr. Turner recover. The doctor said he won't be getting out of bed for at least a couple of weeks. If he pushes it, it might just affect your marital satisfaction." She emphasized the last two words, watching as Winona's face flushed with anger.
"And one more thing," Nina added. "Kindly tell Mr. Turner that unless it's truly important, I'd prefer he stays away from Yvonne. I find him a bit of an eyesore."
With that, she led Yvonne out of the room, satisfaction gleaming in her eyes. Nigel gave Nina a thumbs-up, impressed by her sharp wit.
This encounter left Nigel even more curious about the complex relationship between Yvonne and Joe. It only strengthened his resolve to protect Yvonne.
Once back home, he immediately took action to restore Yvonne's art exhibit. To make it even more compelling, he kept the vandalized wall with the broken glass as part of the installation, transforming it into an artistic statement. He hired experts to carefully redesign the exhibit, adding new elements to enhance the story behind the destruction.
When it was all set, Nigel waited outside Nina's house for Yvonne. The moment she stepped out, he whisked her into his car without a word, ignoring her protests and demands to stop. He did not stop until they arrived at the exhibit.
Looking at her apologetically, he
said, "I knew if I asked, you wouldn't
come, so I resorted to this sneaky
method. But trust me, Yvonne, once you see inside, you'll understand why."
The gallery was bustling with visitors, some entering with doubt and others leaving with smiles.
Curious, Yvonne got out of the car and walked into the exhibit. What she saw immediately stunned her.
While it wasn't possible to completely restore the original, Nigel had turned the damage into a work of art.Belongs © to NôvelDrama.Org.
The entrance walls now featured playful cartoon versions of her, and as she moved deeper into the exhibit, her original paintings were all intact. The shattered glass had been transformed into an artistic display, with a man and a woman painted on either side, symbolizing the broken lives of two people once in love.
Even the harsh graffiti on the wall no longer seemed jarring. Instead, it evoked a feeling of sorrow, something tragic yet oddly beautiful. Yvonne's voice caught in her throat. "How did you even think of this?"
Nigel scratched his head sheepishly. "Well, they say you become like the people you spend time with. I guess I've picked up a bit of an artistie touch from being around you."
Just then, someone recognized Yvonne. "Oh my God, it's really you, Yvonne! Can I take a picture with you?"
Yvonne smiled and nodded, walking over to pose. Nigel joined her, and the fan, assuming they were a couple, snapped a photo of the two.
The flash went off, and the fan handed Yvonne the picture. "You two look so perfect together! Are you a couple?"
"No, we're not," Yvonne quickly clarified, pulling Nigel away as she hurried to leave the exhibit.
