Chapter 1118
"He went to school," Nash replied, handing her a glass of water. "I think it's better for him to stay focused on his education, even though... well, it's just kindergarten for now."
In kindergarten, they had not taught reading yet, but they had group activities that helped build a good social environment.
As for the entertainment industry, Nash still had his concerns. He couldn't help but think of Miranda. Things started off well for her, but after entering showbiz, she began to change, little by little. Orion was still so young.
And with the wealth Nash had, if Orion developed an interest in the entertainment industry later on, he could easily build an entire entertainment empire on the foundation Nash had already established. "Yeah. I've been with Orion constantly these past few days, so now that he's not around, I feel a little lost," Nina admitted, a hint of sadness in her voice.
Nash gently stroked her cheek. "I get it. How about we pick him up together this afternoon?"
"Okay."
That day, Nash stayed by Nina's side. She couldn't help but marvel, "Aren't you busy?"
"Quincy is handling things at the company, and I hired a new assistant who's on a trial run today. I'm planning to step back from the front lines and spend more time with you and the kids."
Since returning, Nash had been swamped with work. There were power-hungry executives to deal with, not to mention his father, William, who kept asking for money.
Even though their wedding had been grand, people had short memories. He couldn't help but think what would happen to his wife and son if he wasn't around to protect them? "So, what about Quincy? Aren't you giving him a break?" Nina asked.
During the years when they couldn't
focus on the company, Quincy had held the fort for five years. He even accompanied them to the Yaren Tribe recently. Now he was training new staff, adding more to his workload.
Nash hugged her tighter. "That's why I'm having him train the new recruits, so he can finally take a vacation." That made sense to Nina.
That afternoon, they arrived at the kindergarten on time. Orion's face lit up when he saw them. "Daddy! Mommy!"
Since they had been spending more time with Orion, and with the help of Pharaoh's care, Orion's health had improved significantly.
He was also thriving in school and
had spent some time in the entertainment industry. Now, he spoke fluently, with no trace of the previous shyness or stuttering, and he was more outgoing than ever.
Despite the unpleasant incident at the kindergarten a while ago, Orion had since made new friends. He looked up at Nina with hopeful eyes. "Mommy, Mike's mom just had a baby sister for him. He was so happy! Can you have a little sister for
me too?"

Orion had also been involved in some school activities with little girls, and many of them had older brothers or younger siblings. But he was an only child.
Orion's innocent request made Nina glance over at Nash instinctively. Nash just shrugged, looking completely innocent.Published by Nôv'elD/rama.Org.
Nina knelt down and gently took Orion's hand. "Orion, I need to explain something. Having a little sister isn't something we can just decide to do."
Nash had mentioned wanting another child before, but Nina had been using birth control, thinking only of Orion. But now, Orion had expressed his desire for a sibling.
"Mommy, I really want a little brother or sister. I'd prefer a sister. I can work hard to make money and buy her pretty dresses and dolls," Orion said, his face full of excitement. Nash chimed in, "It's not just Orion who wants one. I've been wanting another baby too. Maybe we should give it a try over the next few weeks.
"And if it doesn't happen, we can figure out if there's an issue and address it sooner rather than later," Nash added, already considering all the possibilities.
