Celestial Queen: Revenge Is Sweet When You’re A Zillionaire Heiress

Chapter 1682

Chapter 1682:

Half an hour later, Errol sat in the back of a sleek black car, staring at the photo his subordinate had sent. His expression darkened.

“Is everything in place?” he asked, his voice cold.

“Yes,” the stalker replied.

“Everything is proceeding as planned.”

Moshe, seated in the front, nodded respectfully.

“I’ve sent the location to those old associates and Miss Happer. They should be right behind us. Mr. Happer, don’t worry. Even if Harlee had wings, she couldn’t escape.”

Errol leaned back, his expression grim and determined.

“Okay. Tell them to hold off on any actions. We’ll discuss our next steps once we’re back at the Happer residence.”noveldrama

“Yes,” Moshe replied.

The car journey lasted about ten minutes before it came to a stop. Moshe opened the door, and Errol composed himself before stepping out slowly. He made his way toward the beach square where Harlee was located.

After a three-minute walk, Errol saw Harlee. He concealed his emotions and approached her with caution.

Upon reaching her, Errol hesitated briefly before sitting down on the opposite end of the bench, making it seem as though he had merely chosen a place to rest.

Harlee didn’t look up.

Errol observed her intently, waiting for an opportune moment to start a conversation.

“Young lady, what game are you playing? It seems quite engaging. Could you show me how it works?”

He planned to keep his identity hidden for now, opting for a different approach. Harlee leisurely finished her game and then turned to face him, her eyebrows arched skeptically, her gaze piercing.

Errol flinched. Her cold stare unnerved him. Did she recognize him?

As Errol considered this, Harlee diverted her eyes with a dismissive scoff, the corners of her mouth twitching with derision.

“A new approach for chatting up young women? Who do you think you are, some creepy old guy asking me for lessons?”

Errol’s face clouded over, his annoyance clear. He was taken aback by her bold assumption that he was just another old man preying on young women.

Errol had expected Harlee to be rough around the edges, and her blunt response seemed to validate his thoughts. He now understood why she often clashed with someone as refined as Nola. He suspected that the Sanderson family hadn’t taught Harlee much in the way of manners.

Reassured by this realization, the sense of threat Errol had felt began to dissipate. In his view, Harlee, with her lack of proper upbringing, was no significant threat.

Despite assuming that Harlee posed no real threat, Errol was not inclined to simply let her go. He needed Nola to support Davenport in managing the Happer Group and understood the need to provide Harlee with some timely incentives.

Suppressing his irritation and disdain, Errol addressed Harlee with feigned kindness.

“Young lady, don’t be so quick to judge. What harm could an old man like me possibly intend? I’m genuinely interested in your game and would love to learn how to play.”

Harlee ignored him completely and started another round of her game.

The blatant disregard nearly sent Errol into a rage. Having lived a long and respected life, he was not accustomed to being ignored. How could such a young and inexperienced girl dismiss him so completely? Initially, he only planned to deal with Harlee to satisfy Nola. Now, his feelings had escalated to a desire for Harlee’s demise, and not just any end, but a particularly miserable one.

Errol’s gaze hardened as he watched Harlee, imagining swift retribution. However, remembering the plan he had set in motion, he composed himself. He needed to wait until the background check on Harlee was completed before making any moves.
