Chapter 89 Throwing Her Out
"Let go of me!" Blanche immediately broke free and stepped forward.
"Mrs. Herbart, I know you have a good relationship with Cathy. You believe everything she says without hesitation. But unfortunately, even after all these years, you haven't realized that she is a malicious person. How pathetic! Yes, I did push her into the lake, but did she mention anything about hitting my head with a stone?"
"I have always been kind to you, Mrs. Herbart, but you said that I was a bad lady. Blanche, you are indeed heartless and cunning. Mrs. Herbart, she is slandering me. I didn't hit her with a stone, I swear." Cathy waved her hand, tears welling up in her eyes, seemingly desperate. Blanche rolled her eyes helplessly, sure that Cathy must have had acting lessons.
Tammy was burning with anger and couldn't bear to listen to a word from Blanche, who actually claimed Tammy was pathetic.
"Who do you think you are? How dare you judge me like that? It seems that I have to expose all your shameful secrets. Not only did you push Cathy into the lake, but you're also flirting with other men."
"Do you even know that it is your honor to marry into our Herbart family? I can see that you are not a faithful lady. You are not worthy of my son at all. You truly are a child without a mother's guidance, so rude."
Suddenly, Blanche tilted her head back and laughed. It was astonishing to see Tammy, a noble lady, speak so harshly.
"Mrs. Herbart, please don't get me wrong. Do you really think I willingly married into this family? Honestly, if it weren't for your son pretending to be disabled, Nicole would never have married into this family, and Dany made me marry him in place of Nicole, or I wouldn't have stepped foot in this house. As for the Herbart family's wealth, it's even more meaningless. I paid for everything I bought. No matter how powerful or rich the Herbart family is, it doesn't interest me in the slightest."
With that, Blanche turned and tried to walk away.
However, as soon as she turned, she saw dark-faced Louis, with his hand in his pants pocket, standing not far away, staring at her with cold eyes.
"He is actually at home," she thought.
Blanche suddenly felt tongue-tied, but what she had said couldn't be taken back.
Sam was quite nervous. What happened tonight was terrible. Louis had overturned a plan that took half a year to create just at the office, and his temper was at its worst.
And now, hearing Blanche's harsh words, Sam wondered if Louis would knock the house down.
Louis took two steps forward, passing by Blanche. She felt a cold breeze brush past her.
Then he casually sat on the couch, turned his head to gaze at Blanche, and lightly pinched his chin.
"So, it's terrible for you to marry into this family, right?"
Blanche pursed her lips and widened her eyes without saying a word.
Tammy scoffed beside them. "Louis, you heard it. This woman is shameless. She takes advantage and plays innocent. It's like bargaining for stolen goods."
"Louis, I've said it before. She is a very wicked lady. All women in the world wish to marry you, but she says she has no interest. She is hypocritical and cunning."
Blanche stood there with her head held high, calm and proud. Everyone could see that she would never back down.
"Louis, look at her. It's infuriating. How could a woman like her exist?"
Louis pressed his teeth with his tongue with a sullen face. In a cold and stern voice, he said, "Blanche, say something."
Blanche turned her serious face and suddenly smiled, revealing her white teeth.
"Mr. Herbart, what do you want me to say?"
Louis abruptly stood up, snapped his fingers, and laughed with narrowed cold eyes.
"How interesting! Sam, make some tea and bring it to the study."
Louis walked straight to the study in big strides, leaving everyone in the room with their jaws dropped in shock. They all saw the extremely unpleasant face.
No one could imagine what Louis would do next.
Tammy almost couldn't catch her breath because of great anger. When she regained her composure, she immediately pointed at Blanche.
"You bitch! Not only do you have a sharp tongue, but you're also stubborn. What are you all waiting for? Throw her out! Whoever lets her in, leave!"
"Blanche, if you don't want to suffer, just leave," two strong security guards reminded her in a soft tone.
Blanche took two steps forward obediently but suddenly turned her head and smiled at Cathy.
"Miss Bird, be careful on rainy days after doing so many nasty things. You might get struck by lightning."
Hearing this, Cathy clenched her fists in anger while staring at Blanche with wide eyes. But soon, a smirk appeared on her face, silently declaring her victory.
This time, Blanche didn't stop again. She walked swiftly out of the house. At this moment, she had no choice but to give in. This was the domain of the Herbart family, and she couldn't win here.
As soon as Blanche stepped into the rain, she felt the attack of the rainstorm. The raindrops hitting her body were painful.
Clara ran to the door and glanced at Blanche with worry.
In the study, Sam nervously brought a pot of tea and entered with it. Louis leaned back in the soft leather armchair, tilted his head back, and rubbed his temple.
Sam gently placed the tea next to Louis.
"Mr. Herbart, the tea is ready."
Louis lowered his eyes and took a glance at the fancy red tea. Then he took a sip and set it aside.
"It has a strange taste, not good."
Sam felt embarrassed and thought Louis had never drunk tea before.
"People from Genesis Enterprises want to have a meal with you. Would you like to meet them?"
Louis raised an eyebrow. He had a premonition that the person behind Genesis Enterprises was not simple.
"Sure."
"Find out information about the person behind them."
"Understood."
Sam was about to leave when Louis called him back.
"Wait a minute."
"Mr. Herbart, what else can I do for you?"
Louis tapped the smooth tabletop, and a wicked smile appeared on his face. "Have I become ugly these past few years?"
Sam widened his eyes and carefully looked at the arrogant president before him. Every move Louis made could make countless women fall for him. If the president became ugly, then there would be no handsome men left in the world.
However, Sam was smart enough to understand the deeper meaning of Louis' words.
Obviously, Louis couldn't understand why Blanche wasn't interested in him.
"Well, Mr. Herbart, you are still so attractive. How could you become ugly? It's just that I think Mrs. Herbart..." This belongs © NôvelDra/ma.Org.
"Go on."
"Mrs. Herbart is different from other girls. She is very special."
Louis' lips curled into a sneer.
"Special? She knew I was disabled but was still willing to marry me. Does this make you feel her special?"
Sam was at a loss for words, scratching the back of his head.
