Captivated by the Ruler of the Underworld

Chapter 425 Sweet Nothings

Sylvester shot a sideways glance at the back of Lela's head, his eyes soft with affection. "Stop the car."

Mildred, a bit confused, quickly brought the car to a halt.

With one swift motion, Sylvester scooped Lela up, pushed open the car door, and pulled her out. "You love sunsets, right? Well, take a good look," he said. Hand in hand, they strolled through Dragon Manor, bathed in the autumn sunset.

Tall, sturdy ginkgo trees lined the path, their golden leaves carpeting the ground, making Dragon Manor look like it was dipped in gold.

Soft light filtered through the leaves, casting a warm glow.

It felt like redemption.noveldrama

From the nearby artificial forest, the occasional chirping of insects added a unique charm.

Mildred instructed his subordinates to drive the car away and stood at a distance, watching the couple ahead.

How long had it been since Sylvester had seen such a warm scene? Ever since he met Sylvester, it seemed like he hadn't had a peaceful day. He was always in the middle of gunfire or chaos.

But now, with Lela, his dreams were finally coming true.

How wonderful!

"Sylvester, I learned a new poem from Pliar country," Lela said.

Sylvester held Lela's hand, looking at her with tenderness and affection.

"At dusk, I gaze at the clouds, my thoughts of you drifting with them. Whether sitting or standing, my heart longs for you," Lela recited. Sylvester's heart stirred, his steps halted, and he pulled Lela close, smirking.

Sylvester rarely showed any emotion, usually just a cold, dangerous glint in his eyes when he saw his prey.

But when he smiled, it was like sunlight breaking through the clouds, warm and noble.

He had an innate aura of nobility.

He pressed his forehead against Lela's, his voice sexy and magnetic. "Darling, are you flirting with me?"

Lela hugged Sylvester. "You could say that."

"Then you like sunsets because of me." Thinking of this, Sylvester couldn't help but feel a flutter in his heart.

Damn it!

Lela was too good at seducing him.

Before meeting Lela, he had never experienced love, nor had he considered it; after meeting her, just one look made his blood boil. It was her. His woman, it was her.

His first taste of love was with Lela.

Fuck!

It felt amazing!

Lela tilted her head and kissed the corner of Sylvester's lips, teasingly. "No, it's not."

Sylvester's eyes narrowed, the warmth and nobility in them vanished, leaving only a big bad wolf in human skin, with dangerous undercurrents in his eyes.

Lela reminisced to herself, a smile on her face. "I miss home. In the Holy Light Tribe, the sunsets are even more beautiful. My dad would let me sit on his shoulders and look into the distance." Those were her happiest times.

Sylvester tightened his grip on Lela's hands, clearly jealous, and deliberately said fiercely, "Lela, have I ever told you that sweet talk isn't about talking, but doing!"

"What?" Lela's eyes widened, her face turning red.

Seeing this, he understood and let out a low laugh from his throat. "Baby, why are you blushing?"

Lela swung her fist to hit him. "You... you're saying dirty things."

It was too embarrassing.

Before Lela could react, Sylvester turned her around, grabbed her slender waist with both hands, and lifted her up.

The next second, Lela was sitting on Sylvester's shoulders.
