Chapter 224
It was no surprise that Edward was taken aback—crochet was a high-cost, labor- intensive craft, typically made-to-order rather than mass-produced.
Even for Prosper Stitch Group, the maximum monthly production capacity barely reached 500,000 pieces.
Edward immediately stood up. "Get operations, the factory heads, and quality control in the conference room-now."
Within minutes, the key personnel had assembled.
Edward strode in. "Call Ms. Smith over."
"Yes, sir."
Ten minutes later, Janice entered the room.
Edward's tone softened the moment he spoke to her. "I just heard about the new product launch. Did we get 200,000 pre-orders in a single day?"
Janice had been planning to discuss this with him. "Yes. I didn't expect demand to skyrocket like this. Our seamstresses are already working overtime, and even the supervisors have joined the production. Right now, I can guarantee delivery within two months, but at this pace, it's unsustainable—I need more hands. A lot more." Janice was determined to establish Prosper Stitch Group as the leader of the domestic market before Onley Group had a chance to react.
And with the momentum from the Historical Artifacts Conservancy project, she intended to make a bold entrance onto the international stage.
This was the strategy she had meticulously planned.
Edward's expression hardened. "Operations, clear out all existing inventory. Make space for the new product line immediately."
"Understood!" the operations director responded.
"Factory team, select the most skilled seamstresses and transfer them to headquarters."
"Consider it done," the factory head confirmed.
"Quality control, work closely with Ms. Smith. Every product must be flawless. Our return rate should be zero."
The QC director gave a firm nod. "Yes, sir!"
Edward frowned. "Where's HR?"
"Here, Mr. Moore!"
Just then, the HR director hurried in clearly out of breath. Given Prosper rapid expansion, she
Stitche
had been working around the clock.
"Launch an immediate recruitment drive for highly skilled

seamstresses. Budget is not a concern-talent is. Draft a
competitive salary structure based
on experience."
At 38 years old, Imogen Winslow served as the HR director of Prosper Stitch
Group. "Understood, Mr. Moore," she responded.
"I want the plan finalized and on my desk before the end of the day."
Imogen hesitated for only a moment before nodding firmly. "I'll have it ready." "Meeting adjourned."
As Janice stood up to leave, Edward called out to her, "Janice."
The other executives couldn't hide their envy. It was clear to everyone that movingnoveldrama
forward, they had to give their full support to Janice.
Janice turned around and asked, "What is it?"
Edward took a step closer. "Sunny told me you only had a bowl of chicken noodle soup for lunch. Is that true?"
"I wasn't that hungry."
His expression darkened. "I don't care how busy you are you need to eat properly. If you skip meals again, I'll make you take time off.
"You"
Janice chuckled. "Alright, alright. I'll report my lunch plans every day from now on. Happy?"
"Good. I'll be waiting."
With that, Janice glanced toward the meeting room door. All of a sudden, she tiptoed up and brushed a quick
kiss against the corner of his lips.
But Edward wasn't about to let her go that easily. He wrapped an arm around her waist and pulled her in, deepening the kiss.
Janice's fingers tightened around his suit jacket, a soft whimper escaping her lips.
After a long moment, he finally released her, his voice low and husky. "We're leaving together after work tonight."
