Ivan POV

I had a really tough day today, but somehow, I managed to push through it all, and finally, the party is over. Miss Becky have been a thorn on my flesh, she always have me followed her everywhere she goes, and it really sucks.

After the party, I left the place, and proceeded to going home. I’ve made up my mind that I’m not gonna ride with her, I’ll just take a cab home, since I didn’t bring my car, and I can’t get a cab, I can just call Nathan to come pick me up.

Stepping out of the place, I sauntered to the gate, and just when I was stepping out, the most annoying voice sounded through, bringing me to a frustrating halt, as I heaved angrily, before turning to face her.

“Ivan…” She called softly, as she got to where I was, and tried touching me, but I stepped back from her. We’re done with business, right? Why is she still clinging on to me for heaven sake?

“What’s it miss Becky? I thought we’re done with the business already?” I asked angrily.This material belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.

“Ivan can you just calm down please? It’s already very late, why not come with me to go lodge at a hotel, you can go home tomorrow, it’s dangerous out there, and I can’t let you go alone.” She said, pretending to be concern about my safety. Just imagine the nonsense this annoying woman is saying.

“Thanks for your concern miss Becky, but we’re done here, my job here is done, and I wanna go home. I can go alone, so good night.” I said coldly, and turned to go, but she held my hand back, bringing me to an abrupt halt.

“Ivan I brought you out here, and it is my responsibility, to make sure that you’re safe. I’m going to be hold responsible, if anything happens to you, so can you please not make this hard for the both of us?” She spoke calmly.

“Thanks for your concern ma, but I have work to do tomorrow, and going to lodge in an hotel with you, is the last thing I wanna do. I have a family, waiting for me at home. I’ll appreciate it, if you don’t push this forward, just let this be, while I’m still patient with you.” I said, then snatched my hand from her, before turning to go, but stopped, and tilted my head to her.

“And please, I’ll appreciate it, if you don’t call me again. I don’t sleep with my clients.” I said with finality in my voice, and with that, I opened the gate, and stepped out of the place.

Luckily for me, there were still cabs, touring the street, so I hailed down one, and gave him my address, before hopping in, after which he started driving to the direction of my house. I kept looking out of the window, as the cabby drove through the dark and silent street. It’s already 11pm.

After what seemed like forever, the cab finally stopped in front of my house, and I paid him, before stepping out, after which I made my way home. I know Nora must be worried about me, and same time mad at me, I’ll explain things to her later though, but for now, I just need a good rest. I have a swimming ad tomorrow, and I’ll have to be there as soon as possible, if I don’t wanna get on our coach’s bad side.

Stepping into the living room, I met Nora, sleeping on the couch. She must’ve waited for me endlessly, before falling asleep. I know Nora, if she were to be able to control her sleep, she would never allow herself fall asleep, while I’m still outside.

I scooped her in my arms, before walking to the stairs, and climbing it, till I got to the hallway, which leads to her room. I pushed the door opened as soon as I got to her room, and stepping inside, I dropped her carefully on the bed, before pulling the duvet to cover her. I placed a soft kiss on her forehead, and switched off the light, before going to my room.

I stripped out of my clothes and hit the shower, as soon as I got to my room. I just couldn’t help, but scoffed, remembering the offer, which miss Becky was trying to make. That I should sleep in an hotel with her, that’s crazy and… wait! Don’t tell me she was expecting me to accept the offer wholeheartedly, and sleep in… oh my God, how can someone be that dumb?

I shook my head in disbelief, as I turned off the shower, and wore my robe, before stepping out of the bathroom.

“Sleep… sleep… sleep.” I muttered, as I dragged myself to the bed, and slumped tiredly on it, before dragging my duvet over my body, as I gave in to the nature, that have been calling me for like forever.

I didn’t know how many hours I’ve slept, but I was jolted out of my deep slumber, by the sound of my ringing phone, and forcing my eyes opened, the morning sunshine shone brightly on my face. Sitting up on the bed, I managed to opened my eyes, after rubbing them.

“Gosh!” I mumbled, as I swung my legs down my king sized bed, then got on my feet, before dragging my feet into the bathroom. I brushed my teeth, had a long relaxing bath, before stepping out. After I was done bathing, I walked out of the bathroom, and got dressed, before grabbing my phone from the bed. Turning on the screen, I gasped sharply, 9am! I stormed out of the room, running as fast as I could. I’m terribly late, I supposed to be at the company by 8am, and gosh! I’m an hour late.

I climbed down the stairs crazily, before running out of the house.

“Ivan where are you rushing off to again?” Nora’s angry voice yelled after me, as she followed me outside, but stopped at the doorpost.

“I’ll give you a call later.” I said, before entering my car, and driving out of the house, praying silently that I make it on time, even if I know that I was already an hour late.

I drove at a very fast speed, violating the traffic light. I finally got to the company, and I parked my car at the parking lot, before rushing inside, but bumped my head into someone, and she winced in pains.

“Sorry miss.” I said, as I helped her up, but froze on my spot, with my hands on her shoulders, as I behold her face… what!…
