Seeing that Kirk was silent, Caroline thought her suspicions were correct and snapped.
She grabbed Kirk’s hand and yelled, “Why are you so stupid? You betrayed your own company to get Brittany to help me. It Eddy finds out about this, you’ll be dead!”
Kirk’s lips curled up into a small smile. He walked over to Caroline and sat down, holding her in his arms.
Caroline didn’t even struggle. She simply looked up at Kirk with teary eyes.
On the way here, she had kept thinking about what kind of information he could have given Brittany to enlist her help.
