Chapter 49
Donald’s point of view
Grandpa was talking and joking with Trista when I came in after phoning!
“Can you tell me what you’re talking about?”
“Donald, I’m overjoyed that you surprised me with a granddaughter-in-law today.” Grandpa expressed his gratitude by saying, “This is an exceptional girl. You should take good care of her.”
Trista smiled and didn’t say anything as I glanced mistily at her.
“Thank you for your go,” Grandpa remarked as he fondled the chess pieces in the gift box.
“Grandpa is a sweetie.” Trista smiled faintly, “Grandpa is happy, and we are also happy.”
“Donald, get ready, I’m leaving the hospital!” Grandpa exclaimed as he played joyously for a while.
“Now?” I was a little taken aback.
“Now!” “The lion family didn’t even give his granddaughter-in-law a wedding, so we can’t even ask her to dinner,” Grandpa said, his tone a touch enthusiastic.
“Would you like to invite your granddaughter-in-law to dinner?” Grandma inquired, shocked.
“Otherwise?”
We haven’t seen Grandpa smile like this in a long time, since his accident. Grandma snorted, but her eyes twinkled with delight. “Look at your joy; I’ll deliver your suit right now!”
I made a reservation at a high-end sea-view restaurant. During the meal, Grandpa rarely said much to me.
“You must cherish your fate and be good to Trista.”
“In the future, it would be fantastic to have a girl with as many talents as Trista.”
“Come see me and play chess with me if you are free.”
“Will you come, Trista?”
……
Trista sat her chopsticks on the table and smiled sweetly. “Grandpa, of course. When Donald and I have free time, we will accompany you and Grandma.”
“Wonderful kid.” Grandpa smiled as he stared at her without looking at me.
The server walked up to pay the bill after the meal “Is this Mr. Lion’s private room? A total of $1, 000.”
When I noticed Grandpa reaching for his wallet, I leapt to my feet and handed him a card. “I invited my granddaughter-in-law for this supper, and I should pay for it!” Grandpa hurriedly grabbed it.
“She’s the woman I’m married to. What’s the matter I pay the bill?”
“She’s my granddaughter-in-law as well. It’s time for me to treat the first time!”
“Me!” I couldn’t help myself and pushed the card to the waiter, motioning him to walk out and check out. The waiter was surprised and quickly withdrew.
“She’s leaving if you don’t look at your granddaughter-in-law.” I reminded him in a hushed tone.
“Go? Why don’t you come back with me to the hospital?” Grandpa’s demeanor was clearly dissatisfied.
I sent them to the hospital after a dinner. They waited outside the car, grudgingly telling them-
“Be sure to remember what I just said. Don’t owe people anything and be nice to Trista.”
“The weather has turned chilly. you’ll need to put on more clothing. Avoid catching a cold.”
“Come whenever you have time.”
……
Trista and Iwaved goodbye.
“Unlike us, your family is quite nice.” Trista gave a bitter smile.
“Come back if you’re feeling good.” While driving, I said, “They will be your grandparents in the future..”
“Yes.”
“In normal circumstances, I seriously underestimate you. I was worried. I wasn’t expecting to be able to take grandpa’s heart so quickly.”
Mom used to choose a lot of girls, but none of them caught grandpa’s attention.
The red light turned on, and the car came to a complete stop. I punitively kissed her face while holding it in both hands. This content © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.
Trista’s point of view
“Hmm….” I was taken aback and startled. Is it true that this man kissed me and never looked at the time or the situation?
I’ve been scorched by the sight of the car next door.
Donald kissed me till the car in front of him honked and let me go grudgingly.
“Well…. Tonight is the Department Party, and I’ll be there. When I was having supper with Grandpa, I received a message from one of my coworkers. The location is the Blue Club, which is part of the lion group. Will you agree with me?” I spoke slowly and deliberately.
“How many people are there?” He inquired succinctly.
“Shouldn’t there be eight if everyone is here?” I tallied everything up in my head.
He drove into the garage with a gentle turn of the driving wheel. “I’ll make a reservation for you in a separate room.”
“Ah?” I was a little taken aback. ” Brenda has a VIP membership card. She said that she would simply order it. At that point, we’ll AA once more. You are not obligated to pay.”
“I place an order.” He got out of the car and opened the door for me after turning it off.
“If you place an order, people will learn about our relationship!”
“Hand over your phone to me.”
“Ah? What exactly do you want me to do with my phone?” Despite the fact that I didn’t comprehend, I handed over my phone.
He called Brenda’s number, tooted a couple of times, and the phone connected.
“Trista? Are you all set? Which outfit do you think I should put on?” Brenda talked on her phone for a long time.
Donald smirked. “It’s me,”
“You? Mr. Donald?”
“Listen, I’ve got a golden diamond private room ready for you. I was planning on putting it to use tonight. I won’t be able to go for the time being. Accept it.”
“Ah? Mr. Donald, you don’t want such a nice private room, do you? No, why are you using Trista’s phone? Is she currently with you? She told you to throw a party tonight, didn’t she?” I could hear what she was saying even if she didn’t raise her voice since her voice was so loud.
I suggested to Donald, signing him not to divulge the truth. “I found it,” Donald said, not stupidly.
“Found it?” Brenda was pressed for time. “So Trista left her phone at work and didn’t take it with her? No, no, no! The party tonight was planned specifically for her. She wouldn’t come if she hadn’t saw the text! Oh, and Mr. Donald, how did you find out about our department party?”
“Take a look at the group message,”
Brenda was quick to react, “That’s correct! But how do I get in touch with Trista tonight? I simply told her there was a party, but not when or where it was going to be held.”
“……”
“Do you have Trista’s entrance information, Mr. Donald? Can you provide your attendant her address and request that one of them send her phone numer?” Brenda responded, embarrassed to say, “I realize this request is excessive, but I’m not in the city right now. I’ll personally send Trista’s cellphone home if I’m here….”
“Yes.” Donald has hung up on himself at this point.
“she believed?”
“Who dosen’t belive what I’ve said?” Donald handed up his phone to me. “Tonight, I’ll take you there. I’ll pick you up if you let me know ahead of time.”
“But….”
“Don’t worry, no one will notice.” he knew what I was afraid about.
