My husband Ex 111
The room was quiet and still, and for a moment, I thought I was alone. However, when I
opened my eyes, I saw that my whole family was inside the room. The only one missing was my grandmother, Leilani, who I bet wasn't allowed to leave the house considering the time of the night. Slowly, I got up from the sofa. As I did so, I cast a brief glance at the wall clock and was actually surprised to see that it was past three in the morning, which meant I had slept for a straight two hours. Feeling refreshed despite the short hours of sleep, I felt
somewhat relaxed, and as the rollercoaster events of last night rushed into my thoughts, I realized how surreal it felt, as though what had happened was only a dream.

My gaze surveyed the room, looking for Grey, but he was not inside Dylan's room.
"Lily," my mom called after she finally noticed I was awake. Everyone in the room looked
at me, and they all wore the same worried expression on their faces. I bit my lower lip at the
sudden rush of guilt in my chest. I had just given them the greatest scare of their lives after
they received a call from Grey telling them what had happened to us.
"I'm sorry, Mom," I softly mumbled under my breath while looking at her. My gaze moved away from hers and shifted to Dad, and I said the same thing, but this time tears began to
cloud my vision.
"I am really, really sorry." This time, I was looking at my six brothers as I said the words.
Mom quickly sat down beside me on the sofa. "Hush, darling. It's okay. We are not mad at you," she gently said, rubbing my back as she comforted me. I felt my father sit in the space beside me.
"We are glad that you are alright, Lily," Father told me. Escaping from Mom's embrace, I turned to Dad and wrapped my arms around him. In return, he hugged me tight, whispering how much they loved me and that they were glad the culprits behind my suffering were gone now. That we could finally be happy, especially now that my son Dylan
had been found.
I wiped the wetness from my cheeks until it was completely dry.

The sound of the door opening caught my attention. Without looking, I knew it was Grey. When I did look up, I was not mistaken; it was him with cups of coffee for everyone.
Did he actually just say he loved me, or was it just my imagination while I was sleepy? That was the first question entering my mind as my gaze dropped to Grey's face. I dismissed the question from my thoughts, finally accepting that it had been my imagination because there was no way on earth he would actually tell me he loved me.
He placed the cups of coffee in the middle of the table.
"Help yourselves," he said to everyone and picked up the Starbucks cup, handing it to me.
"Thank you," I shyly replied after taking the cup from him.
"I just received a call from the police while you were asleep," Grey said, taking a sip from the cup he now held in his hand.noveldrama
I paused and looked at him without saying a word. He saw that I was waiting for
his reply, so he continued. "Ash tried to escape after he was treated in the hospital. He even fought the police. Unfortunately, he fell down the stairs and died instantly."
I let out a relieved sigh. For a brief moment, I almost thought he would announce that Ash had succeeded in escaping from the hospital.
"I'm not happy that he died that way, but I'm glad he won't be able to hurt anyone anymore," I told them, sighing afterward. I actually felt as though the fear and doubt I still had concealed within me dissolved into nothingness.
When I looked at everyone's faces in the room, they looked as relieved as I felt.
"I'm happy he's gone. Lily can finally live in peace," my brother Luis said for the very first time. "Let's cheers to that." He lifted his cup of coffee in the air, and everyone followed in
unison.
"Cheers."
Four in the morning came, and yet I didn't feel sleepy at all after only a few hours of sleep.

Grey looked alert despite not having been able to sleep at all. When my family left
to return home a few minutes ago, he sat beside me on the hospital bed, and we both waited for our son to wake up.
"Do you have plans to return to Europe?" Grey asked out of nowhere.
Startled, I looked at him. "Why do you ask?"
"Because I know your stay here is only temporary. You came here to manage La Paraiso until your assistant is ready to handle things on her own before you leave. I'm just thinking that now that La Paraiso Hotel is thriving on its own, you will feel the need to return to Europe. After all, your main office is located there, and you have other hotels to manage."
"You are right. Sooner or later, I have to return to Europe to manage my other business. I can't stay here any longer... I don't have any reason to." I kept the last words to myself, knowing I just didn't have the courage to tell him that.
"If I told you to stay, would you do it for me?" Grey quietly asked. This time he was looking at me intently as he waited for my answer.
I swallowed deep and hard as I wondered why he was asking me that question. If you tell me you love me and that you can't live without me in your life, I would stay. I wanted to say those words, but instead, I replied, "It depends on why I should stay. I need you to tell me
the reason I should."
