Billionaire’s Pampered Wife

Chapter 764 Meeting An Old Acquaintance In Front Of The Yacht

“I’ll have to trouble you then,” Stella didn’t refuse.

“Should I throw away the leftovers?” Jasper asked.

“It’s alright, I’ll pack them up right now. Some people might need them,” Stella said as she started to pack up the food.

Jasper washed the dishes.

She noticed that he was well-practiced, so she didn’t say anything unnecessary. She just smiled slightly and said, “I’m going out.”

“I’ll accompany you,” Allen said as he took the takeaway box from Stella’s hand, “It looks like you’re always sending food to those in need. You even have a takeaway box and disposable cutlery ready.”

“What I don’t need, others might. It’s the simplest thing I could do, it’s isn’t hard to do. Don’t give up good things though they may be small, and don’t do evil things though they may seem insignificant. Giving to people in need gives me peace of mind, it makes me feel good,” Stella explained.

Allen looked at Stella. Her tone was very elegant, intellectual, graceful, gentle, and understanding.

He would prefer to be together with Stella even if it meant him losing out on a lot of other women. From the moment he met Stella, he didn’t have space for other women in his heart. If he and Stella couldn’t be together, he was afraid that he might not fall in love with anyone else in his life.

When Stella arrived at the park, a group of homeless men naturally rushed over.

They all knew Stella.

Stella shared the food with them.

“Do you come here often?” Allen asked.

“No, just occasionally, about twice a week,” Stella explained.

“I could invest in a service center to deal with the problem of homeless people, ” Allen suggested.

Stella smiled. “I bought a two-story house near the clinic and renovated it myself. The inside only consists of benches, a pool, and air conditioners. It could accommodate up to a thousand people who don’t want to go home or are homeless.”

Allen looked at Stella in surprise.

“I hired a cleaner to clean the house every day, and I don’t care too much about the rest,” Stella said, “I think that it’s good like that. I’ll contribute to the people when it crosses my mind, so I won’t take it as a responsibility. I want to live a free and easy life.”

Allen said, “Don’t they know it’s your house?”

“I don’t need them to know that. I just need them to know that there’s a place for them that won’t be hot in the summer or cold in the winter, and a place that won’t let them starve to death. That’s enough for me,” They headed back after they were done distributing the food.

Allen took her hand and said, “I’ll do all these things with you in the future.”

Stella patted his hand like an old friend and said, “I’ll welcome you anytime. After some time, my senior will come to America too. I think that my life is already complete.”

Allen nodded, “Let’s move forward together. Let’s go.”

Stella also nodded and walked home.

When they were about to arrive at the house, Allen thought of Jasper, who was working in the kitchen, and asked tentatively, “By the way, how do you feel about Black?”

“I don’t have any feelings towards him. He’s not easy to get along with. He’s very quiet and hard to see through too. He’s too mysterious, but I don’t want to uncover his mysteries. I invited him to eat with us today since he had personally sent me some things, and also because he is my colleague. We are nothing more than colleagues,” Stella said flatly.

Allen felt much more relieved and he raised a happy smile, “Let’s go fishing later. Remember to apply sunscreen and some moisturizer. The sun above the sea is particularly strong, you’ll get sunburned if you’re not careful.”

“Got it,” Stella went back.

Jasper was already done washing the dishes, thus, he sat on the sofa and browsed his phone. When he saw them coming back, he fixed his eyes on their tightly clenched hands and looked at Allen with sharp eyes.

Allen smiled and said, “Let’s go now. Black, did you drive here?”

“We could all go in my car. Let’s go,” Jasper walked out and bumped into Allen’s shoulder deliberately.

Allen couldn’t withstand the impact and took a step back.

“Are you alright?” Stella asked with concern.

Allen shook his head, “Your colleague is very strong.”

Stella frowned slightly and glanced at Black.

Jasper had already left.

“He doesn’t seem to have a good temper. I suddenly regret suggesting sailing on his yacht,” Stella shrugged her shoulders.

Allen said with a smile, “Then I’ll buy a yacht tomorrow. We won’t need to ask for anyone’s help when we go out in the future.”

“I’ll get the fishing rods,” Stella said as she went upstairs. After a short while, she came down with a large bag and a large tank on her back.

“You have a complete set of fishing tools too?” Allen asked in surprise.

“Of course. To do a good job, an artisan needs the best tools. If you don’t have good tools, how could you catch a big fish?” Stella nodded.

“I’ll also buy a set next time,” Allen said as he took the tank from Stella’s hand.

Jasper had already his car parked outside when they emerged from the door.

Allen opened the trunk and put everything in it.

Jasper said to Stella, “Sit in front.”

Stella had originally wanted to sit in the back. After all, Allen was a friend, and Black was a colleague.

However, since Jasper had already requested so, it wasn’t good for her to refuse.

She believed that Allen would not mind, so she sat in the passenger seat.

Jasper’s expression turned a little better. He said to Stella, “Do you want to take a look at the case files?”Owned by NôvelDrama.Org.

“Alright,” Stella responded and flipped through the documents on the shelf that were placed by Jasper.

“Vann said that he found a new body, and I think that we should know the identity of the deceased by tomorrow. Why do you think the family members of the deceased did not report the case?” Stella asked.

Jasper said, “There are too many possibilities. Those people may not be from here. Even if they did report the case, but if they are all from different places, the cases might not get resolved anyway. There may also be a possibility that the whole family may have died, and therefore, no one reported the case. In the past, there was a case where more than a hundred people in the whole village were all killed, so no one reported the case.”

“Are you talking about the case of the Tavers Village?” Stella blurted out.

Jasper looked at her, and his eyes became darker, “You’ve heard of this case before?”

“Yes, I’ve been to Tavers Village. Their main purpose there was to dig up a treasure, and then someone slaughtered the whole village to obtain the treasure,” Stella said indifferently.

“Do you know who slaughtered the village then?” Jasper continued to ask.

A lot of scenes flashed through Stella’s mind. Some of them were memories, but some of them seemed to be blank.

She did not want to think about it anymore, so she said, “I don’t know.”

Jasper’s eyes dimmed again.

Allen opened the car door, glanced at Jasper, and sat in the back seat.

Jasper started to drive.

No one talked along the way. Stella was a little tired after reading the documents, so she leaned against the chair and slept.

When Jasper saw that she had fallen asleep, he turned the air conditioner in another direction so that it wouldn’t blow directly on her.

Allen frowned slightly and looked out the window.

Seattle was situated near the coast, so they arrived at the dock after a few minutes.

Jasper stopped the car. Stella also opened her eyes and got out of the car.

All of a sudden, a white dog ran from the stern to the bow and wagged its tail at Stella, looking very happy…
