“What happened after the explosion?” Lisa asked, getting touched by the story.

“My husband and brother were out of the place before the explosion happened.”

Oscar is telling Candy to wait for him when they went on a bit of break; he knew the other task would take time, he decided to rush to get Candy’s Favourite chocolate quickly.

While my brother Ben got an urgent call, he had to go out to receive the phone call because of the chemicals and the rules of the place; phone calls not allowed.

He finished making the phone call when he saw Oscar going to get the chocolate; he joined him to get something to surprise his lovely wife.

Getting back to the premises, they saw people running out screaming, saying, “Run, the project has been terminated before they could understand what was going on, an explosion happened, and it affected their hearing, they couldn’t hear a thing for a minute but a sharp sound.

“Candy? Oh no, my daughter is in there; I need to get my daughter.” He said, going crazy; Ben couldn’t control himself knowing his wife was in there too.

“I lost my only daughter because of the Walcott, you see him here, my brother, his wife died too, just one month of marriage, do you know how painful It is?” Most of them felt sorry for her as she continued.

“We all assumed Mr Louis Walcott would give us hope after the incident that took place, after the lives that were lost but to our greatest disappointment, he never cared a dime for life lost.”

They all gathered when Mr Louis PA spoke, saying,” You all did a quick job, so please go home, and we will make sure to compensate you all.” We were happy hearing this, but I overhead his private talk with his PA and some other men, “I can’t believe those poor bastard fell for that; they need compensating after we spent billions into a simple task they couldn’t do.” One of the men said.

“Let’s destroy this place, clear it up, this lab never existed, and we never employed anyone, case close, and life continues.” They all laughed, and we grew madder; they value money more than that life, they love their license to cover up cases of innocent people that died, they finally seek revenge.

“I heard his wife is expecting a second child, one of us will pay off a nurse to give us the child after she delivers, and we exchange the child with a dead one.” They clapped, saying, “best revenge ever, now they will feel how it is to lose a child, Candy death will never be in vain.”

They worked out a perfect plan and stayed at the hospital; Beatrice gave birth to a baby girl and fell into a deep sleep, then we did the swapping with a nurse who helped us, when she finally woke up, “I love the pains she felt, and I wanted her to feel more.”

Mrs Walcott grew mad hearing this, remembering the pain she felt when she heard the news that her baby is dead, “You bitch.” They all restrained her from fighting her.

“I could have killed your daughter, but I have no child of mine; I decided to have your daughter as my own, I named her Bella, I thought I would never bear a child again, but when I got pregnant again, I made her life hell, when I think of the death of Candy, I maltreat your innocent daughter .” she laughed evilly. The police took her back to their cell, saying it enough.

Bella couldn’t breathe with the details she just heard; Kyle tried calming her.

Mrs Walcott slapped her husband, “You beast, this is what you get when money thinks for you and not your brain; because of your pride, our daughter had to pay for what she knew nothing about.” She yelled so loud.

Theo stopped his mother from creating more scenes, “Enough, mother, please.”

“Theo, your father, is heartless; get out of my sight Louis, get out; you disguise me.” She cried.

“I am sorry, Beatrice, I never knew it would lead to someone taking revenge on us; I made a silly mistake, but.” Louis Walcott tried reasoning with his wife still; she didn’t want to hear him speak; she wants him to leave at once, which he later did.

Theo looked at the whole picture playing before him, all this while he thought his sister was dead; he never knew she was alive working as a maid; he defended her at times and always proud of her and choose to be her big bro.

“Bella, my daughter, please forgive us; you went through a lot all because of our sins, you deserve the best in life; I should have known you were my daughter when you started working with me; I am glad you are alive my child.” She walked to Bella, trying to touch her; her own eyes were soaked in tears; Bella, still fidgeting in the arms of Kyle, couldn’t handle the shocking news anymore.

“Do not call me that; I want to be left alone, please.” She ran out with tears in her eyes.

“My daughter doesn’t want me, Theo.” She held her son.

“Mrs Walcott, you know Bella went through a lot already, and this news is also too much for her to bear; I believe she needs time to clear up her head and she will come to you.” Kyle advised .

“He is right mom, my sister needs more time to digest the whole thing, she left the hospital this morning, give her a little space more and make things up with dad okay.”

She thanked them both and for the first time in history she asked Lisa,”How are you feeling Lisa?”

“I am okay ma, thanks ma.” She was shocked at the sudden care same with Theo and Kyle.

“I will take my leave now, I can’t leave Bella alone by herself, will talk to her okay, see you all soon.” He left, Theo mom left leaving Lisa and Theo together.

“Baby, there is nothing in this life, its truly a small world, I was right from the beginning, no parents will maltreat their child that way , you know what love?” Lisa touched Theo face.

“What’s that love?”

“Bella will be my sister in law.” They both laughed.
