I overheard Kyle’s voice, I don’t know why I started hurrying up, I don’t miss him right, so why am I hastening to see him now.

Coming out from the room and heading to the living room, instead of seeing Kyle, I saw the same lady on the first date I had with Kyle, I was shocked at this, or is she a family friend or what.

What if she recognizes me and starts a fight with me immediately? Oh God please let her not recognize me and let me leave here peacefully.

“You look so familiar young lady, I feel have seen you somewhere” Immediately she said this, my heart started beating so fast.

“No ma, I’m just a new maid here ma.” I responded with fear.

“Oh, you are a maid, in my man’s house, I should start feeling insecure”. She added.

“I don’t understand”, Is she trying to say, she is Kyle’s girlfriend, he canceled the outing with me because of his girlfriend.

“What I mean is for you to continue your maid stuff but don’t get close to Kyle my man”. She said to me in a commanding tone and Kyle came into the conversation and talking to her.

I think I’m unlucky, I shouldn’t be hoping Kyle should like me one day, I’m just a maid, I still don’t know the reason while I’m being sad.

Kyle and I looked at each other, but I just don’t get this connection I feel when I see him but I had to stop this madness.

I remembered I was leaving so I said, “Goodbye sir” and took my leave.

Leaving the household premises, I was still feeling hurt and used, this isn’t right.

I can’t go home yet so I decided to visit Lisa at home.

“Hi Lisa, seems grandma went to visit her friends right?”

I said to Lisa sitting on the floor in her small apartment.

“Yes, that’s what makes her happy anyway, since she is getting old, I just hope our friendship last till we get old”, she said holding my hands.

” Sure, we have been friends for a long time and nothing is going to break that.” I replied her.

“So Bella, why did you come over to my place? I know fully well your boss wishes to take you out to see a movie or something right?”, she asked.

I just change my mood because she just made me to remember what happened earlier today.

I faked my tears saying, “He was lying, he lied, maybe he just said he wants to take me outing because he knows I’m admiring him a lot, he call it off because of his girlfriend, ahhh ahhh”, I screamed.

“It’s okay, you are working yourself out dear, how are you even sure she is his girlfriend hum? Besides, you told me he called you his girlfriend on that Cinderella date”, she rubbed my back telling me and acting funny with her mouth.

“He has a girlfriend, the girl that ruined our date is the same girl that came home today, imagine she even warned me to stay clear from her man that my presence in the house is making her feel insecure. I felt so humiliated”

“Hum, something tells me that girl might be lying but any way, I doubt if he has engaged her, so you are still lucky to have him right?”, Lisa said winking at me.

“You are so unbelievable girl, I should snatch someone’s man, please let’s forget about him, he’s nice and I appreciate that already.” I said to her.

“Okay fine, I’m truly sorry okay, Bella for real I can’t believe you will no longer go to school, you will remain a maid, this is so bad, come to think of it, Kyle’s parents might not even want you near his son, oops sorry for that”, she said covering her mouth.

“Don’t remind me I’m a maid okay and please stop calling my boss by his name” I warned her.

“See the look I’m talking about, you are even defending him already, how romantic! True love never lies”, she said.

“You are so getting it from me” I said chasing her around and we both were laughing.

I was like a fool watching her leave, I don’t even know what I was supposed to do anyway, can I still make it up to her?

I went upstairs to my room to meet Clara who was trying to be so seductive to get my attention.

“Hi baby, what took you so long?”, she asked coming close to me.

” What are you trying to do hum?”, I asked her.

“Come on dear, after our lovely date, let’s make ourselves happy right? Moreover since you haven’t made the first attempt to kiss me yet, there is no harm we trying it right, I’m all yours”.

I took her hands off me, “Don’t you dare touch me and I am not your man, why will you tell Bella that? What has gotten into you Clara, why did you even come over? I shouldn’t have let you. You are not even my girlfriend, yet you already are behaving like a boss in my house?”, I yelled at her.

I noticed I hurt her so I just apologise.

“You mean you are defending your maid, you even called her by her name instead of addressing her as a maid, so you have a thing for her.”, she asked.

“What if I have a thing with her, what’s your damn business or don’t you know who I am anymore, The BS, I hope you do now, for even if am your man, I can never be faithful to you for I love ladies and ready to have them all.” I purposely said these words to her.

“Yes I do know you very well but even at that, I love you and I am wiling to bear and understand for a man will never remain in a bush forever, he will surely return to his home”, she replied back with tears in her eyes.

“I also hope you know that statement that you just uttered from your mouth is directly for married couples and not for a single flirt like me” I said talking a seat on my bed.

“Seems you are not in your right state of mind, good night”, I was glad she left.

I checked the time, it is not yet very late, what if I just go get Bella for our date and apologise to her?

What am I even doing? She has done something terrible to me already.

Well since I’m bored and not in a good mood, I will need someone’s company and Bella is rightly fit for that.

I took my leave, taking my car and decided on going to her friend’s place, where I dropped her the last time.

I was on high speed and the police went after me , I know I was wrong but I just had to stop for them to carry out their duty.

I was getting so impatient for they were wasting ny time.

Getting to her friend’s residence, I got lucky seeing her, I came down from the car and don’t know what came over me because I rushed to hug her so tight.

It was as if i had missed her for so long.

Hugging her and apologising, “I’m sorry for breaking my word for I am known for keeping them and not breaking them”.
