Be Your Lover Forever (Alicia)

Chapter 638

Lindsay got up from the sofa and put down the snacks in her hands. She greeted him and said, "Hey, that's the brand I wanted!"

Taking the medicine from his hand and putting it aside, she let him take a seat, "Drink some water first before you take a rest. I'll go and heat up the food, then we can eat!"

Seeing how attentive she was, Jeremy smiled bitterly. He really wanted to say that he didn't have any appetite.

Just when he just opened his mouth, she lifted her hand to hold his, "What's wrong with you? Why do you look so bad? Is there something wrong? Or is the work not going well?"

Listening to her considerate words, his heart ached! It was bleeding!

In the past, he had experienced countless warm and sweet moments! Each time, it would melt his bones! But now, it didn't belong to him!

Though he was full of sadness, he still smiled and said, "No! Maybe I'm a little tired because I've overworked myself today!"

Helping her sit down, he reached out and touched her belly, "Don't tire yourself too much! Rest when you have time. We can order take-out or go out to have a meal!"

Filled with happiness, she took his arm and leaned against his shoulder, "I'm not tired! I have nothing to do anyway, and I like to cook for you!" Thinking of something, she added.

"By the way, I went to the sanatorium to visit Madam York today! Her condition is much better. She could talk to me a lot. Her way of thinking is more normal now! I talked to the dean, and once her condition becomes stable, she will be able to live a normal life! As long as she takes medicine and goes for checkups on a regular basis, there should be no problem!"

"Jeremy, let's go to visit her next week. If her condition is good, we can bring her out. Our family can live a good life, alright?"

She thought that as long as Madam York was released, she would have someone to back her up. In addition, she was pregnant now, and their situation had improved. Even if Mr. Pitcher did not allow her to marry into the family in the future, she had two trump cards. Moreover, since Alicia was gone, Jeremy was obviously going to accept her now. Lindsay felt that her future would be good!

Therefore, besides going to the sanatorium every day, she would clean the house and prepare for happy days in the future!

Jeremy was moved when he thought of his mother, whom he had not seen for a long time. He nodded and said, "Alright!"

Stretching out his hand, he held Lindsay in his arms, and a layer of mist once again appeared in his eyes. Perhaps, it was the arrangement of the heaven!

In the evening, they had dinner together and watched TV for a while before he helped her get on the bed and gave her some folate.

"It's getting late. Go to bed early!"

"Alright, you're not sleeping?" Pulling his hand, her heart always felt a little empty and uneasy.

"I just remember that I still have some business to attend to, so I have to go to the study. I'll go to sleep when I'm done! Close your eyes and sleep! You have to rest more now! Good night!"

As he comforted her, he lowered his head and kissed her forehead.

"Alright, good night!" She said with a smile on her face as she closed her eyes.

He turned around, got up, and went to the study room.

He turned on the computer and slumped in the rotating chair behind the desk. His emotions, which had been suppressed for the night, surged up to him again. He couldn't stop his tears from streaming down.

She was still alive, but he was too late to find that!

Even if she hadn't returned to Frederick's side right then, he still wouldn't stand a chance!

She came back alive, but why the god let him miss the chance? Initially, she was the woman he loved the most. They had met at the right time... But ever since he let go of her and the mistakes he made, the connection between the both of them had completely been cut off. God never blessed him. Not even once!

They were a well-matched couple when they were in St. Abbott University in Bayton City! Everyone envied them. He was the one who had ruined everything between them, the one who destroyed his own happiness!

It was his persistence that ruined his own happiness. He came back to his senses too late, and he lost the best woman he had ever loved in his life! He completely lost her, and he had no chance anymore!

The pain pierced his heart, but he also knew that in the future, he was in no place to pester her.

There was no hope left.

He had always thought that the person who could only live in his heart had already been turned into ashes. That time, even if she was alive, he could only hide her in the depths of his heart forever.

His favorite, his Ally...

He let her go and gave her to someone else with his own hands.

In his lifetime, the most erroneous and regretful thing he had done was abandon her at their wedding without leaving her a word. He had left her for three years!

She deserved better! Now, even God didn't stand by his side, and God wouldn't allow them to be together!

There was no pill of regret in the world!

He didn't grasp any single chance he had! Who could he blame?

He got up and took out a bottle of wine from the cab. He chugged down the wine and gritted his teeth, but he still cried while feeling helpless and regretful.

It was said that men's tears should not fall easily, but at this moment, he only wanted to cry!

In the dead of the night, in his study room all alone, he chose to remove all his disguise and made himself completely drunk.

When she woke up in the middle of the night and went to the washroom, Lindsay came to the study room. She pushed the door open and saw such a scene. Slowly, she walked in, and a strong, pungent smell of alcohol filled the air.

"What's wrong with him?"

She stepped forward and glanced at him. She initially wanted to wake him up, but when she pushed him, he did not react. Seeing that, she felt that she had do something. She wanted to take some clothes and cover him. Just as she lowered her head, he suddenly muttered, and a faint crying sound sounded as if he was hurt.

"Why?"

"Ally, I've lost... you! I've completely lost you!"

"Ally..."

He groaned from time to time, and his cries were filled with pain as well. When she saw that he was hunched over and his brows were furrowed together with a bottle of wine on one side, she was stunned.

Alicia Blanchard? He was heartbroken by that b*tch again!

Why couldn't he let go of a dead person? What was good about her?

She laughed in her heart, and she clenched her fists so tightly that they cracked. However, she suppressed the surging emotions in her heart in no

time.

"Endure it! Endure it! Why are you

competing with a dead person? After all, you're the one who should be enjoying everything now. You get to stay with him until you're old! You're the winner, and she's the loser. Why are you fighting with the loser? He came to the study to hide from you. It means that he cares about you. You should be happy..."

She forced herself to calm down, and in the end, she didn't do anything. She tiptoed back to the room and closed the door behind her.

When she went back to the room and laid down, she was so furious that she gnashed her teeth.

Lindsay had given so much, so why couldn't she replace her? No matter whether Alicia was married or dead, she was still stuck between them? No bones were left, yet her ghost still lingered! Lindsay really wanted to dig her out and whip her to vent her hatred!

She wanted to marry into the Pitcher family and be a good wife. When she closed her eyes, she suppressed all her emotions. From the beginning to the end, she had never thought about watching the news. Of course, she didn't know that the outside world had already changed!
