Be Your Lover Forever (Alicia)

Chapter 1171

Only then did she realize that she was, once again, troubled by the past. Waverly knocked on her head hard. She raised her hand to check the time and noticed that there was half an hour left. The hotel was not far away, so she made up her mind to enter the store.

Wandering around the clothing store, she was somewhat absent-minded. An attendant enthusiastically introduced a dress to her. Stealing a glance at the attendant and was embarrassed by how she had ignored her all along, Waverly took the bean-green coloured dress over.

"I try this on then..."

After putting it on and raising her gaze, Waverly's eyes lit up. She wore a short dress that hugged her figure designed with a small V-neck and a shoulder butterfly tie. It was not eye-catching, but it carried mischievousness. It was plain in green and contrasted her fair skin, highlighting her nobleness.

For a long time, her wardrobe had been black, white and grey. With a sudden change of color, Waverly felt as though she fell in love with her reflection in the mirror.

That was right. Wasn't she in her youth right then?

It might have probably been because all those affairs were more or less related to her. No matter how resentful or heartless she was, she could not bring herself to hold a grudge against the dead, so she had been avoiding brightly-colored clothes, especially those in red.

After swirling around in front of the mirror, Waverly was satisfied. "I'll be going on a date, so perhaps a skirt might rather be a more suitable outfit than my suit." With the thought in mind, she withdrew her card.

"I'll take this! Please help me remove the price tag!"

Then, she retrieved a lipstick from her bag and put it on. With that, she braced herself before striding out of the store.

In front of the hotel, as soon as the familiar car came to a stop, Waverly rushed over, dragging her bag behind her. "Wyatt, you're finally here!"

Just as she was about to wrap her arms around his neck, she was reminded of something. Giggling, Waverly placed her hands on his collar.

"I'm well-behaved, am I not? I arrived ahead of time! Calling you by your name makes us seem as though we're distant, especially those who don't know us. Should we forget it and call each other by nicknames from now on?"

Waverly stroked the collar of his suit and mumbled to herself before she wittily said, "I'll take advantage of my identity and do as I want. Can I?" She raised her head and whined, pulling him by his collar as she acted like a spoiled child.

As he lowered his eyes, Wyatt's gaze landed on the V-neck design threatening to expose her chest and the hem of the short skirt that revealed half of her thigh. His eyes darkened.

"Why can't I..."

Waverly grumbled, seemingly downcast, "Can't I call you by your nickname?"

What harm would it do if they were slightly more intimate? Would he lose a piece of his flesh? She allowed him to call her by her nickname, didn't she? He would not suffer any losses! How petty!

Just as she was deep in thought, scratching her head, a thunderbolt struck her all of a sudden. "Why are you all dressed up in such a manner, again?"

Wasn't she afraid of being harassed if she were to wear such a dress to the company every day? Did she do it on purpose for seduction? Noticing her holding the shopping bag in her hand, his good feelings for her fell sharply.

Huh?novelbin

Stunned for two seconds, she lowered her head to look at herself before coming to a realization. Waverly secretly stuck out her tongue as she thought to herself, snickering, "It turns out that you' re dissatisfied with this!"

Raising her head, she managed a chuckle. Thick-skinned, she replied, "Well, I put it on because I just bought it! I was in a hurry to meet you. I won't do it again, alright?"

He took her bag over and placed it in the car. Only then was Wyatt reminded to take a bouquet of roses from the back seat and hand it to her. "Let's go!"

Did he agree to her wearing the dress and would not look into it?

Her face brimming with happiness, Waverly leaned in his arms with roses in her hands and entered the hotel, the two of them laughing all the way. On that day, Wyatt booked a table in the main hall. The two of them ordered a variety of dishes and a band to perform music by their side. With the flowers, a majestic cake, and their outstanding appearances, they stirred quite a storm.

As expected, the next day, the two of them made the headlines...

The news would only spark interest if they were new! Sure enough, the more one cried wolf, the fewer others believed it and the less attention it received! In the office, as Waverly scrolled through headlines related to himself, she was not the slightest affected. Scrolling through her phone, she thought to herself, puzzled.

Was that how he was using her as his shield? Was it by heading out for a meal and drink with her every now and then, plus gifting her lavish gifts?

Would it be too much of a loss to suffer?

Of course, it was Wyatt who was suffering a loss! After all, she had nothing to pick on since she enjoyed delicious food every day, wore fine clothes, and had a handsome guy by her side!

It should, however, be noted that a

person who took advantage of

others might suffer a loss in the end! She could only hope for a man as generous as Wyatt, who bought bags and clothes that cost a few hundred thousand dollars without the slightest hesitation, not to deceive her. If it turned out to be a trick that might bury her, a little lovely girl, alive, what a loss it was!

He was not her father, nor brother. Such a feeling was indeed unpleasant!

After heaving a long sigh, Waverly went from her body slumped over her desk to supporting herself up from her seat, resting her chin on her palm as she shifted her gaze back to the computer screen.

It was better and more satisfying to rely on her strength!

After she placed her phone aside and started typing on the keyboard, the finance manager came over.

"Waverly, you're busy I see! This is the contract requirements of Five Yeso Group just faxed over. I guess you'll have to run an errand! The clients are very anxious. Boss wants us to try our best in helping them complete it all for free to save time on the procedure. The main problem is that they're waiting to report it to their superiors tomorrow, plus, the process is somewhat complicated! Today, you'll focus on this and help them handle it well. Scan through the requirements on the way as it is very urgent! Take a taxi and claim the fee charged from the financial department! Arrange your time well! Let me know after it's all dealt with!

We'll reward you with double the bonus! The key is..." Content belongs

With a knock on the table, the manager implied to focus on speed and efficiency. Waverly understood at once as she got up and took the document over, gesturing an "OK".

"No problem! I promise to handle it well!"

He had come over to assign the task to her in person. Would she have the guts not to handle it well?

"Well, that's great!"

Turning around, the finance manager headed back to his office. On the way, he knocked on a colleague's table and shouted at the top of his voice. "Continue on gossiping. Don't you want your bonuses? Learn something from Waverly! See how efficient and diligent she is! She never loaves on the

job..."

"I'm talking about you! Yes, you! Continue on eating! Be serious! Learn from her!"

"And you. You haven't completed your task for the month, have you?"

Along the way, the supervisor knocked on tables and cut all the gossiping off. He turned around and pointed at Waverly, who stuck her tongue out in response.

In the whole office, she seemed to be the one known for loafing on the job!

Fortunately, she was young and beautiful. She would usually not offend anyone, nor would she delay the progress of the group, so her colleagues all took good care of her. The boss and the manager treated her well, which was one of the reasons why she was fond of the company! Although they often encountered such a situation, her colleagues had never talked bad about her. In fact, she did not want to show off. She had slowed down her efficiency, but no matter how effective humans were, how could their processing speed be compared with a computer?

Most of her colleagues' job scope

included input, calculation and

examination. Very often, they had to

manually calculate data. As a programmer, all she had to do was to input the recorded data, and the system would automatically detect alt mistakes. All she needed to do was make corresponding adjustments and modify the recording formula.
