James breathed out, heavily and stared away from Kathy.

He grabbed the tray of fries and trotted to the living room with it.

He picked up about three fries and shoved it in his mouth then started munching on it.

Katherine sat down beside him.

“So, we cool now?”she asked before taking a fry.

Before, after completing a mission, it usually takes about a month or more for another one to come in.

She brushed her mouth before moving out for breakfast.

“Boss called,”she started and placed her elbow on the counter.

“If he really wants to give me an order to do that, it’s something he would have said on the phone.”she exhaled.

“Well?. He could have told us about our missions on phone but did he do that?”

“He is a meticulous man.”

“Peek at your mission once you get it. If it is to kill me, just do so immediately you enter.”

He proffered the bread to her.

She took it before biting into it deeply.

Katherine stared at the envelope and nipped a her bottom lip.

She reached out her hand to loosen the piece of black fabric the envelope was tied with but stopped half – way.

She climbed her bike and zoomed down to their apartment.

As she entered their unit, she found James backing her.

“Do it, Katherine.”he muttered, his voice waivering a little.

“I don’t get, do what?”she arched her brows.

“Just kill me.”he breathed out.

She tilts her head to the side before a naughty smile crawl up on her lips.

“Then, I will do just that.”she took some steps to his back then circled her hands around him.

James flinched a little before turning to look at her.

“Gosh, I meant kill me, not fvck me!”he yelped, disentangling his body from her’s.

She scoffed.

She brought the envelope up to his face.

“I haven’t open this yet. If the mission is to kill you, do you think i would want to lose you like that?. Before you die, I..”she traced her eyes down to his trousers.

She rolled the black rope off the envelope and threw it down on the floor.

With her eyes on James, she brought out the paper in the envelope.

“Oh, my cv is here in the envelope also.”she interrupted him.

“Don’t worry, Jammie. I would get you a burger boogie once I get my first salary.”
